I can’t do this anymore

POV: Y/N

Denki has been growing cold towards you lately. He has been avoiding you by hanging out with his friends. He once loved to have sleepovers at your dorm, now he avoids it. The once loved cuddles turned into cold nights alone. The once tight and loving hugs turned into lose and meaningless hugs.

Today was just as cruel as the other days. They always feel long during lunch breaks. Now having to be in the deku friend group. Not like that’s a bad thing but you wanted to be with your boyfriend.

After classes today you walked straight back to the dorms. Having nothing but homework to do. You decided to try and call Denki to do homework together, because you always did it together. So you decided to call him hoping for the best.

Just making your way up the stairs to the door of the 1-A dorms. You hesitated to open the door, regretting your decision to call Denki to do homework. When opening the doors to the lobby see Denki there waiting for you. He seems to be zoning out waiting for you.

“Hey” you say announcing your presence to him. He only smiles at you and gets up walking to your dorm. You only follow him, feeling the awkward tension between you both. Wanting to break the tension and it being the weekend you ask if he wanted to sleepover.

“Mina wants to group to go to the mall this weekend. She loves shopping you know that.” He claims, looking back at you with an unreadable face.

Once in your dorm you pull all your books and paper from your bag placing them on the floor. With Denki setting across from you on the floor doing the same. Trying to cut the silence you spoke up.

“Do you understand what the homework is about. I wasn’t paying attention well.” You say will a little chuckle.

He only nodded and said the bare minimum when explaining the homework. Cutting straight to the point without one joke. You’ve gotten use to this, missing his jokes that always made your laugh. There wasn’t much talking when completing the homework. The only talk there was, was helping each other.

When finishing the homework, you both cleaned up putting your books and papers back in your bags. When he was about to leave you stop him calling him out.

“Denki” you hesitated to call out hopping he would stop. He only looked back at you showing he was confused why you called him.

“Please, please stay tonight you can leave early just please.” You begged tears coming to your eyes. Still full of hope and slowing being taken over by despair.

“I can’t-” He started hesitantly. Trying to pick out the right words trying not to hurt you.

“Please just please.” You continued to beg cutting him off. He sighs quickly before giving in. You gave a smile happy to have him stay for the night. Changing into your PJ’s for the night with him doing the same. Clawing into bed with him next to you. Him being close to the edge of the bed. With it being somewhat cold tonight you moved closer to him wanting cuddles but he doesn’t move.

“What’s wrong” you ask him.

“Nothing” Denki says keeping his thoughts to himself. Normally he would be like an open book with you and tell you everything.

“Things will never be the same as they were before.” You stated with a sad look, facing him setting up. He looks at you confused on where you’re getting at.

“You never tell me anything anymore. You never wanna hangout or sleepover anymore.” You tell him tears coming to your eyes falling down. Coming to a break wanting to cut it off with him.

“I can’t do this anymore.” Tears full on falling down like a waterfall. Your heart full of pain from the heart break because you just ending your relationship of 1 and ½ year’s. You can see the pain on his face but Denki knew that is was coming sooner or later because of his recent actions. Being cold towards you and staying distant from you.

Denki starts to get up from the bed with his head hanging low with tears slowly dropping from his eyes. Getting his things and slowly walking to the door. He stops to say something.

“I’m sorry.” Is all Denki said. He voiced sounding broken as if holding back a sob, trying to hide it. He then walks out the door. With the door being shut you fall back down on the bed crying your heart out. Debating on if it was for the best or not.
