How to Write Fun Sex (and no, not kinky fun, just fun)

Conversation! Sex is not nearly was quiet as some people write it! In fact, not saying anything for that long can feel awkward at times. Lighten the mood with jokes, banter, or even something silly someone notices.

Sex is awkward, and messy, and you characters can laugh in the middle! Lots of people say random things during sex that are really funny (most people’s brain to mouth filters aren’t really working)

Let your characters be bad at sex. It’s okay! It’s a lot of coordination, movement, and placement that doesn’t come naturally to everyone! Especially if they are nervous. Slipping and almost falling over is common, hand cramps are common, and so is just straight up missing what you’re aiming for. It’s human and endearing!

If you want your characters to be good at sex, you can still make the mood light hearted. Jokes, fun comments, and a tone of ease make the atmosphere feel comfortable and sometimes even more intimate.

Always double check for proper capitalization. Nothing throws a reader out of the zone like a wEirdly capitalized Word.

This blog is here to help all fanfic writers learn more about fanfiction and how to write it! 

Who are we?

The two admins of this blog, while not experts, are each experienced, seasoned writers. Our current admins are Monster and Bug. 

Monster uses she/they pronouns and is bisexual; she loves old ass poetry, punk rock music, and Jane Austen. They were voted most likely to secretly be a deity and hate mint ice cream.

Bug uses he/they pronouns; he loves classical history, all forms of art, and chickens. They were probably an eccentric philosopher in a past life and is too hot to hate things.

What do we post here?

We’re hoping to post a variety of things here! We will be making in-depth posts with How-to-Instructions and correcting commonly made mistakes. On this blog, we plan on posting little tips, writing positivity, smut advice, and posts about grammar and punctuation. We also will help betas find writers and visa versa. Our asks will always be open for people who have specific questions!
