AO3 has been scraped, once again.

As of the time of this post, AO3 has been scraped by yet another shady individual looking to make a quick buck off the backs of hardworking hobby writers. This Reddit post here has all the details and the most current information. In short, if your fic URL ends in a number between 1 and 63,200,000 (inclusive), AND is not archive locked, your fic has been scraped and added to this database.

I have been trying to hold off on archive locking my fics for as long as possible, and I've managed to get by unscathed up to now. Unfortunately, my luck has run out and I am archive locking all of my current and future stories. I'm sorry to my lovelies who read and comment without an account; I love you all. But I have to do what is best for me and my work. Thank you for your understanding.

writing update 4/24

whew that last post was lowkey a doozy, so here's a more lighthearted writing/life update for you!

I recently discovered a wonderful program called Twine that allows you to easily make interactive stories!!! Ah!!! I wish I had found this sooner!!! I love choose your own adventure style stories and there's so much I want to do with this program. It's very user friendly as well! I had no problem jumping right into a project after downloading it. It's free and open source too, so check it out if you're interested in interactive fiction!!! I may or may not have a cyoa style Zelink fic in the works...we'll see if I finish it ever xD

Work has been same old same old, things have been going so smoothly at my workplace that I often end up with a lot of free time (dw, my boss is chill and knows i get my work done before i goof off xD) so I've started bringing a notebook with me and writing little scraps when I can. It feels good to get my creative juices flowing, even if I'm not writing anything polished or finished. I'm sure my coworkers think I'm crazy but who cares. I'm having fun and that's what matters :)

i've been itching to write for some smaller fandoms i've been engaging with recently, namely Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai and Bloons Tower Defense 6, because both media are near and dear to my heart and have a lot of potential for interesting fics. I might use these fandoms and write smaller, sillier fics while I work on longer projects in the background. So for the three other people who like PR Samurai and BTD6, I will feed you!!!

Any piece of media you're passionate about, no matter how active the fanbase (or if the fanbase even exists at all aside from you) is worth making art or writing fic for. What better tribute to something you love than to be moved to create because of it?

stop using artificial content generators, for the love of all things good and holy in this world, and make something with your own two hands like god intended

making all of my currently posted fics on ao3 viewable by registered users only, and will be making all of my future fics viewable by registered users only as well so i don't risk having my work (written all without the use of artificially generated material) stolen by ai scrapers. wish i didn't have to do this, but c'est la vie.

i am anti-generative ai and i DO NOT want artificially generated slop anywhere near my fandom experience. if you use any form of artificially generated material, no matter how "small" it seems to you, please take a moment to think about the impact that your choice has on the artists and creators whose work is stolen by ai scrapers (let alone the environmental impact).

if you decide that having on-demand, easy to access content is more important to you than engaging with a community, or heaven forbid, trying to make something yourself, then know that you're turning your back on what fandom stands for. sorry you can't be bothered to prioritize anything other than mindless instant gratification. hope you reject the machine someday.

new fic on ao3!!! Irresistible, some E rated SS Zelink <3 can you believe it's my first time posting an SS Zelink fic? they are so lovely together and i want to write more of them soooo badly

wow who knew that working a boring office job would give me so much inspiration to write? i literally wrote this fic today lmao. the idea sprung into my head and it just sorta flowed out like water, which i'm very happy about! these last (many) months have been a bit of a writing drought for me, so even if it's small, i'm still pretty pleased to post this!

this work may end up joining a larger body of spicy zelink fics in the future, if i can turn all of my ideas into actual fics instead of letting them collect dust in my docs xD i have more free time since i graduated and have (somewhat) settled into the 9-5 life, so i hope to channel my unused creative energy into more fics! we will see tho. can't get my hopes up too high or i might crash and burn xD
