I was unreasonably excited to see Echo’s ears this episode. Like really excited.

I’m also highly distracted with concern over him being able to get his tbb armour back…

Feels like things are forever changing and I’m not sure I can handle it 😂 I just hope the enormous number of unravelled threads means a new show is gonna be announced. Hopefully on the 4th 🤞

And finally, what fun it was to see him messing about with that droid hand! He should magnetise it to his armour (you know where) so he can keep it … ahem … handy.

As for Omega telling Emerie about the Batch… my poor heart can’t take it!

Post penultimate TBB episode thoughts abound. Predominant one is how the last ep has got to be about 3 hours long.

But also…

Kind of hoping Rex and co aren’t in the finale as it ups their chances of getting their own show.

I’ve no idea why I made a drawing of Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels going on a shopping trip with a tote bag with Sabine’s phoenix symbol on it. I just know that it was a big challenge to make her lekku look right.

Unlike the watch, I do remember making this one! In the months after getting my iPad Pro I tried to develop a new style to reboot my webcomic, which has been sadly languishing since 2012. The problems with my wrist cause me to be so slow and inconsistent my attempts never became more than just disappointing doodles. But the basis for what’s becoming the new comic is here already, an embryonic beginning to something new. I’d continue to struggle with how best to do the eyes until recently when I realised the simplicity of my established version is very much me.

I wasn’t happy with the results at the time, but five years after drawing this I can see it’s not as bad as the me of then thought. I present it proudly!

You can easily imagine Echo’s been flexing his ARC training a lot working with Rex. His confidence in ep 13 was so effortless. And impressive. Wonderful to see him doing his thing! Even though it’s terrifying watching him go off on his own.

So very much wanting to see what the two 501st boys have been doing with their clone crew all this time.

No amount of bracing could have emotionally prepared me for Point of No Return.

I’m a grown ass woman and yet I’m still knocked flat by TBB.

As for anyone trying to claim animation’s for kids… please tell me where in those last two episodes is content suitable for younglings

Asajj Ventress

In honour of her appearance in episode 9 of the final season of The Bad Batch, I decided to draw Ventress. I loved seeing her again and thought her bounty hunter outfit was very cool. Great fun to draw.

Intensely feeling the need for Rex to have his own show. And for it to be announced on May 4 this year post TBB finale.

There are as many hints in TBB S3 that it could happen as there are ones that it won’t. And that scares me. Scares me.

I have these feels on a regular basis and have done for some while (years by now) They are daily at this rate as we progress through S3. It’s a little exhausting 🙄

Been thinking, ever since I saw the Bad Batch S3 trailer, about how uncomfortable Rex might have felt stopping wearing his pauldron. I can’t help but think he wouldn’t have given it up lightly, what with it saving his life on Saleucami and being such an intrinsic part of his identity. So I came up with this little moment where it’s broken and he’s adjusting to life without it, flashing back to getting shot because that has to have lingered all this time.

Takes a bit of getting used to seeing him without it…

So, according to the Clone Wars movie novel Rex lost his entire company (pretty much just five of them walked away if I remember correctly) on Teth. His first massive loss. A hostile world, the gravesite of so many of his men, his brothers, and he chooses to go back there, to the same monastery where he lost so much, and make it his secret base.

Makes sense when you think about it. Who’d expect him to go back somewhere so painful?

Imagine the memories. That little shiny new Padawan he was just getting to know, his general putting the mission first, Obi-Wan saving the day. All that death. Ventress choking him, trying to Mind Trick him. How the hell does he get any sleep there?

Oh, and the operative dude? Kinda half expecting it to be Cody in there. The guy went AWOL and never turned up again. Could be winter soldier Tech, but the legs just aren’t skinny enough! I’m not one for speculation, but I just have this strange feeling given how resilient he is…

Can’t help but feel they began finding themselves again during this episode. The imagery isn’t subtle about it either!

I noticed Crosshair touching his head a lot in the premier. I believe it’s a physical manifestation of his trauma. Not uncommon with ptsd

Update: After watching the first three episodes I can confirm I am absolutely not emotionally capable of dealing with this. The final season will destroy me.

I don’t know if I’m in any way emotionally prepared for Season 3 of The Bad Batch. Which sucks because it’s almost here. My rewatch is only making me more jittery. I know everyone who made it is saying we’re gonna love it, but what happens when it ends? I don’t want to go back to being devoid of the Clone Wars animation style and characters. I don’t want the stories of these wonderful clones and their friends to end. I don’t want to imagine never getting to see Rex again. I want to believe that the series ending right before May 4th means they’ll be announcing a new show about the dawn of the Rebellion and Rex’s part in it, his work to save the clones and restore the Republic. I just don’t want Rex’s story to end. I don’t want to never see new content in The Clone Wars’ style. I love it and I’ve loved it for so long and I had to live without it for so long that to go back to that… Yeah, I’m not emotionally prepared for this…
