so in stranger things 4.01 mike is reading el’s letter and she mentions that will has been painting something and won’t let her see it and then in 4.08 in the infamous queer-baitiest car scene Will gives mike his big gay dragon painting and gives el credit “she basically commissioned it” to deflect his big gay feelings and I’m just saying that if Mike could just rub two whole brain cells together and think a thought he would realize that el had nothing to do with that painting and will has a crush on him. 

(but he won’t tho, cause mike wheeler only knows how to complain, play dnd, eat hot chip, and be bi)

when i first saw eddie in season 4 ep 1 i really hated that man and now im like wow they really made this man too perfect and wonderful i hope nothing bad happens to him 🙃

i’ve decided to start projecting a lot of bisexual polyamorous feelings onto steve harrington and there’s nothing the duffer brothers can do to stop me

my theory for why stranger things season 4 is split into two parts is that netflix has an algorithm for the maximum hours of content they can release without someone literally dying while binging it

Stranger things (which already has like 10+ main characters) season 4 really had the audacity to introduce ~15 new characters in the first episode and expect me to give a fuck about all of them 

here is what my brain can remember:

#10: dies in the first five minutes

mean popular blonde girl: she’s a cunt

denim bullys: hang out with mean popular blonde girl. all denim all the time

crazy popular blonde girl: looks kinda like scarlet johnason 

basketball captain: future republican senator 

Argyle: sure why not 

newspaper boy: his posture is so bad his spine is shaped like a question mark

school counceller lady: so nice you know she’s gonna die soon 

eddie: I hate this man so much it makes my bones hurt. he looks like he smells like burnt weed and the worst city bus b.o. you’ve ever choked on 

the other dnd guys: who cares

and are we doing a disservice by characterizing the archetype of misogyny as teen girls instead of the political/capitalist/social structures that actually perpetuate and benefit from institutional sexism. Once again we have made women the enemy and turned sexism into a “woman problem” and not a society problem     

i guess my issue with the “pick-me girl” hate videos on tiktok/etc is that they really exemplify how misogyny is so baked into our culture that it really hinders the way girls and young women self-actualize, but instead of talking about that we just want to dunk on insecure teen girls for having shitty opinions
