Heyyy
So..I'm back!
I literally have nothing else to explain my absence other than the fact school and work took up most of my time and then I soon forgot I even had a Tumblr account. I kid you not. I'm looking through my asks as of the moment to see if there are any that aren't scams.
ANYWAYS
Has anyone seen the new sequel for Still Wakes the Deep? It's so cool! The trailer is already up. It's called:
Still Wakes The Deep: Siren's Rest

Punctuating Dialogue
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”

Will Caz ever catch a break, maybe a friend to or will he continue to be going through it.
How would Caz reacted to a detainment breach. Would he stay in his cell or would he try to escape with the others D class and more friendly anomalies?
In terms of Caz catching a break:
He will. Due to being transported to site-17, he'll meet Cain. I can see him taking some sort of comfort in Cain due to him being one of the few humanoid SCPs who also means no harm. He could certainly catch a break with Dr. Glass and, depending on other head cannons and ocs, he could find some friendly acquaintances at the Foundation who are not SCPs.
Caz would 100% freak the fuck out during a containment breach. I don't doubt at least one of the doctors told him about containment breaches and how dangerous they can get. He'd definitely try escaping with the thought of getting killed by MTFs or escaping D-class at the front of his mind, however. The free SCPs would be on the very front of his mind as well.
I think he'd try to stay away from any SCPs aside from Cain since he'd only know so little. However, looking for Cain would be a death sentence and would only lure him deeper into the facility. He'd go the opposite way to look for an exit. He'd try escaping with D-class who wouldn't harm him due to sharing the same objective.
He'd be careful about fully trusting them. Most of them are on death row. That means they committed a crime that was enough to land them that sentence. He'd make sure to book it if the D-class seems as though they may kill him even after escaping.

Dose Caz has any abilities or is he just a guy who hasn’t imploded into a monster yet?
What about the other infected victims? Are Muir and Rennick still alive and being studied like Caz or were they put down for being too dangerous?
Love the work please keep it up!❤️
Hello and thank you!
Caz does not have any abilities! He really is just a guy who hasn't imploded into a monster with the occasional mental breakdowns.
The other infected victims are left on the rig due to being too risky and some too big transport. The 05 wants to leave them alive and study them and is doing so. However, all the council members acknowledge that should the time come, they'll put down the infected.

Imma ahead and post original drabbles on here between two characters I'm working on for my fantasy world as well as others from time to time.
Drabble 1, Arthur and Marley: Banter
“Days out in the open sea ain’t somethin’ you’re used to, Foxy?”
Marley ignores the innocent jab from the crewmate taking a place at her right side. In his hand is a bottle of alcohol. She watches as he allows it to dangle off the side of the ship as he puts his arms on the railing. She ignores the eye contact he’s trying to make, choosing to instead look over the ocean as the sun sets.
“Ay, Foxy?” He nudges her lightly with his elbow. “Earth to Foxy!”
“You’re “Foxy” is not on Earth right now,” Marley speaks up, her tone light and teasing as she continues to stare out into the darkening blue. “Foxy will be back in a few hours.”
“Aw, com’on!” His words drag as he wraps his right arm around her shoulders. “Still mad ‘cause of last night? Salty even, eh? I called you out when you thought you had near everyone on this damn ship seein' you as harmless.”
“I didn’t expect to have everyone on this vessel. What I expected was to have them forever questioning.” She glared at him, her blues eyes meeting his own.
“Foxy’s back!” His tone is cheery as he grins cheekily at her. He leans in closer almost as though they’re sharing a secret. “How’s it up there? Pretty? Everythin’ you hoped for? Com’on, share the details! Did you meet the Lady of Gold?”
“Shove off,” she pushes him back with ease. “Go back inside to the party. Aren’t you supposed to be drunk singing right now?”
“Nah, Johnny’s doin’ that right now. Gotta say, his singing certainly is atrocious. Nothin’ like mine.”
“Oh, I beg to the Trinity!” Her arms cross as she shoots a playful glare at him, “at least the man’s hitting real notes!”
“Eh?” His eyes narrow at her. “The Trinity’s that supposed to mean?”
“You really aren’t a jackass,” his grins widens, “they sound prettier than you!” His grin falls. He crosses his arms, minding the bottle, and looks away from her. His lips pucker.
“You can not be pouting. Are you seriously pouting? You’re 15!” At his refusal to make eye contact, she grins. She snatches the bottle from him before he can even do anything.
He startles near immediately, reaching to grab it from her, “don’t you dare! That’s my last one! Marco’s orders!”
She jumps out of his way faster than he can grab and takes a swig, relishing in the burning sensation. Coincidentally, it was also the last drink from the bottle for the night.
“Foxy!”
“Relax,” she teases, throwing the empty glass bottle into a nearby barrel. “Once we hit the next port, then Marco will remove your limit.”
“You’re a monster, Foxy.”
“Mhm, keep saying that. Just keep in mind who’s planning to make you second-in-command once captain.”
“What’s to say you won’t go back on your word, Foxy?”
“I never go back on my word, Arthur.”
“Sure, Foxy.”
“Did you just-?”
“I think I just did.”
“Go knock yourself on your ass. I’m not that sly, Arthur.”
“Com’on, say it.”
“No.”
“Com’on, you know you wanna!”
“…I’m not that foxy.”
“The gal said it!”
“Go die.”

How will Suze handle the situation in your Still wakes the deep x SCP? Will Finlay and Brodie get to meet her and maybe help her out or what?
Will Suze expect foul play on Caz’s “death” and start investigating or will she not expect a thing and grieve her husband? I need more of this fic please keep up the good work!
Suze would be grieving her husband. Putting this into the perspective of the SCP world, Suze would be fed the same thing the media would be: The storm brought upon big waves which damaged the rig severely, taking many lives in the process. The bodies were not found due to them being taken by the ocean.
That there would explain the lack of bodies to bring back to the families.
The Foundation would throw the company, including Rennick, under the bus by pushing out how bad the rig was by using their own newspaper and TV media disguised as news outlets. They would definitely bring the instability of the rig into the spotlight to point the blame even more to cure any doubts.
I will not pretend that Finlay and Brodie won't get amnestics. Right after being interrogated, they would be giving amnestics to forget the whole entire ideal after they are checked for any infestation. Then, they would be fed the same story and would accept it because in their minds it makes sense.
They wouldn't remember a thing about what happened on that rig, in total. They'd most likely chalk up their memory loss to hitting something after being hit by a wave or by something that got hit with the waves.
Now, back to Suze: they'd comfort Suze and the two children if they ever meet them. I don't see them as ever actually meeting until the funeral in memory of Caz. If they do meet there, it'd just be an interaction of exchanging meetings with Caz and how funny he was. They'd leave not long after.
In all, Caz would be considered dead.
I don't think Suze would expect anything. The story is plausible and holds evidence because a bad storm did break out according to many sources and even the weather people.

Poppy Playtime and SCP Foundation crossover would be really interesting to see now that I'm really thinking about it.
Like, the player is actually a D-class who was never an employee there in the first place or the player is someone who did work there once upon a time and got into some sort of trouble that landed them as a D-class.
The 05, after finding out about this, decides to send the player there for one reason and one reason only: to gather intel.
The player is sent in with a body camera (or at least some sort of camera that provides 24/7-hour feed), an ear piece so the researches can talk and order the player around, a backpack, a second set of clothing within the backpack, and food (more like snacks though) to last a week. If rationing well, a week and a half.
Whether player choices would be different or the same, the ear piece would go out, the camera would go out due to being smashed, the toys that are killed are left alive due to orders from the researchers, or even if they decide to send a new MTF squad they put together BECAUSE of what's within is not something I know.
Hell, the researchers (maybe even the 05) would probably want the Doctor (Harley Sawyer) alive just because they're curious about him and his experiments.
Thinking about it, that would be so ironic. The hunter becomes the hunted. The researcher becomes the object.
Whatever happens afterwards is not something I have any idea of.
In whatever case, this idea just would not leave my head.
Until next time people of Tumblr!

What type of an relationship would Caz have with the Doctors/SCPs/D class?
Would the foundation even risk Caz interacting with other SCPs and D class or would they just isolated him from everyone and everything? What would his reaction to the other SCPs be like?
Thank you for the ask!
I don't think the Foundation would completely isolate him. This is due to a head cannon of mine.
I believe Caz is much more resistant to the effects of whatever that entity was than is seen. I can see this playing a part in the SCP universe by him being the only person to basically make skin-contact (plus eye contact) with the things created by the entity and still retain human body, conscience, and everything else. Basically, being human, but never turning. Aside from suffering occasional effects like blanking out due to some sort of vision; a vision like we see in the game.
In terms of doctors, Caz would have extreme distrust and for all the right reasons. Caz would be considered unusual in every way and would have needles inserted into him nearly everyday. Every doctor he'd meet would be held away by a figurative 40-foot-pole. After all, these are doctors whose sole reasons for being there differ from one to another, some from opposing organizations who may just be so much more fucked in the head. I will say that, if he were to ever meet one and develop some sort of acquaintanceship, it would have to be Dr. Simon Glass and/or Dr. Jeremiah Cimmerian. The former, however, is far more likely.
D-class would definitely be something he'd see. I do believe that's a risk the Foundation would take due to D-class being disposable anyways. At first, he'd wonder why they're even there. Eventually, he'd ask. He'd find out most of the D-class are death row inmates whose endings are nothing but death anyways. He'd feel bad for certain ones who may be there for the smallest of crimes. Any others with much more violent crimes, however, he would care less for. Once the 05 rules they can be allowed in his cell, the researchers would watch to see if anything happens. Nothing happens to the D-class then, but the researchers would then shove the D-class into an isolated cell for a certain amount of time and watch for anything abnormal. If nothing abnormal, the D-class would be allowed to go back to any other testing.
Caz discovering SCPs completely screw with his reality. After all, all of this was right under his nose? Once the "go-ahead" is given, Caz would be allowed to meet other SCPs. He'd have certain reactions to certain SCPs he meets. He'd be terrified and downright cursing out the researchers managing him and 682 if they introduced him to 682 only for the reptile to treat him with actual curiosity and bluntly call him "different" and "inhumane" due to what's coursing through his body. Though 682 doesn't know what it is, he knows Caz is different in a way.

I love your Still Wakes The Deep x SCP fic! Can you share some information on the story?
If you are willing to share of course.
Like are Finlay and Brodie are still alive and be with Caz or would they be let go because they were not infected?
How the SCP foundation would treat Caz? Would they treat him as an dangerous creature to keep a close eye on and use him for experimentation with other SCPs or would they treat him with some kind and respect but still kept a close eye on him just to be safe.
I love your work please keep it up!
Hi, and thank you for the ask! :D
For Finlay and Brodie, they'd be taken in by the MTF and sat down by researchers in separate interrogation rooms. They'd be put through an overall regular questioning (as regular as Foundation questioning can get) by the researcher(s) on what happened, what they experienced, what the others looked like, etc. From there, they'd either be given Class A amnestics (erases recent memories within a fairly short time frame such as 5-6 hours according to the updated SCP wiki on amnestics) or Class C ones (tedious process but a summary of them is that the memories 'chosen' to be removed will be removed.)
After making sure there were no significant damages to them by the amnestics, they'd be sent home and fed with some sort of excuse that'd most likely be close to what they may tell the families involved as well as the public because there's no way every person who had family on that rig would keep their mouths shut.
Caz's situation is a little bit of both. Since Caz is certainly infected, yet not showing as fast as the other did, he'd be put in a holding cell like any other SCP would. From there, as long as he remained cooperative, they'd treat him better than some of the SCP's. However, it is the 05-Council and they still want answers. He'd have blood drawn and a bunch of other tests from doctors (the doctors wearing a protection suit to stop any skin contact.) His blood would be tested on, his skin would definitely be tested.
He'd be treated like an object of interest, not an actual person.
However, as long as he cooperates, he may get more freedom. Including, by all means, if Caz stays human--or as human as he can be--without turning into a rampaging monster.

Anybody on here have any anime recommendations where the main character is a villain in some way no matter how explainable their motives are? An example would be 91 Days, where the main character killed those who killed his family a few years ago.
Literally starving for any animes with a villain main character that's like that or is just evil.
I've already watched animes with a similar preference in some way such as Angels of Death, 91 Days (HIGHLY recommend this anime if you like character with a high drive for vengeance), Attack on Titan, Hellsing (and Hellsing Ultimate), Saga of Tanya the Evil, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Death Note.
Any other anime recommendations from the anime community on here?

Hello, hello! The SCP crossed with SWTD is now here after many months. Also, infected! Caz.
Now, before we begin:
TW: Suicidal thoughts, cursing, description of the dead and death, and near panic attack description (Caz doesn't get there, though he does get quite close to one before collecting himself), unconsensual drugging.
Caz has a bad feeling.
A really fucking bad feeling.
Something on the damned rig doesn't seem right and he holds no idea as to why it doesn't. Of course, nothing's ever been right ever since that behemoth of a monster (he wonders what the fuck the thing even is and comes to the conclusion he'll never know and the universe decided to bring one of Lovecraft's unwritten horrors alive somehow-) began killing everyone.
Well, not actually killing, but it sure as hell might as well be considered it because the people he used to know certainly aren't those people anymore.
They're just husks of those people reliving their last thoughts and feelings in agony.
Caz shakes his head. He's getting offtrack.
He looks over towards the phone hanging on the wall, trying desperately to avoid the dead body of his friend in the room. The phone should be ringing. Finlay should be calling him. She said she'd give him 40 minutes before calling.
Why isn't the phone ringing?
The thing should be ringing. There's only one reason as to why it wouldn't and Caz doesn't want to think about it to much.
(He knows well that if the outcome is what he thinks it is, he'll be alone on the rig. He doesn't want to be alone. He wants to see his wife and his two little girls. He wants to be back home. He wants to be back where he feels safe.)
The groaning of the rig pulls him out of his thoughts.
"Damn it," he sneers, banging his fist on the wall. He can't help it. He knows he's fucked. He's beyond fucked. He's not getting home tonight, not unless he can pull a miracle out of his ass like in those kid movies. The corners of his eyes grow wet as his voice wedges in his throat. His breathing picks up and Caz forces it back under control before he delves into a full blown panic attack on a rig that's slowly being consumed by some sort of Lovecraftian horror-
He loses his balance and tumbles to the floor. The whole rig shakes from a loud boom.
"What the fucking hell was that?" Caz pulls himself up from the dirty floor with speed he didn't know he had. In the distance, Muir (is it even him?) screeches as something that sounds like a loud one-sided struggle continues. There's nothing that hints even a lick of the language his crew once knew as the screeches become full blooded growls and shrieks that remind him of the tales told about banshees.
Then silence.
Caz stays still as he recollects his thoughts. No one new should be here. They hadn't managed to call for help. Did a fight break out between the creatures? No, no that's not right. They haven't attacked each other at all from what he's seen.
He's never actually seen those bloody things meet each other though, has he? The possibility isn't a far one by any means. The creatures seem to not be a hive mind, but he really hasn't had any chance to confirm that when he's either running for his life or trying to find something to get him out. There's no way it would fight itself. The creatures must be separate entities in a way if they were to fight.
"Damn it, Caz," he curses to himself. "Focus. The creature being a hive mind is not something you should be focusing on right now."
He goes over to the phone, keeping the boom in the front of his mind. The creatures must be fighting. That's something to tell Finlay. Since she isn't calling him, he'll call the room she should be in.
He brings the phone up to his ear while taking deep breaths. His mind is a full mess and he can barely type in the numbers. The phone instantly goes to a busy signal. His heart drops.
Caz's breath picks up as he listens to the signal. He slams the phone back in its place and puts in the number to where Finlay said she may be if she couldn't get to Marine Control. His hands shake while doing so.
Busy signal.
Caz lets go of the phone, letting it hit the wall. The signal still echoes throughout his head as though it's mocking him.
He can't be alone, he can't. The phone line may just be damaged due to the creature and Finlay is trying to call him just as he was trying to call her. That has to be the reason. It must be.
He goes to the door and his hand rests on the handle for only a few seconds. Maybe, just maybe-
Caz opens the door and slams it before he finishes the thought. The longer he stayed in the room with Roy, the more the thought would've seemed more pleasing. He won't do that. Not if there's a chance he can kill this thing.
Caz walks outside, careful not to slip. In the distance, clouds gather. If the situation wasn't life or death (the traitorous voice in his head whispers if it's really a life or death situation when the outcome is already so clear-) he would grin and laugh off the foreboding feeling being only Rennick kicking him off in the middle of the ocean instead of flying him on the heli.
He looks out from where he's at. The dark itself covers most of the structure aside from the red light coming from far away near him. The creature itself seems to stand tall, though never standing. The galaxy colors swirl around it and he can't help but think just how beautiful it is in a twisted way. It truly holds its own kind of beauty that can only be described as cosmic horror beauty.
Caz nearly gives himself a whiplash from how fast he turns his head away from it. The color that was slowly surrounding his vision fades away. He almost wonders if that's how it got some of his crew.
In the distance, he hears something.
A heli.
Caz runs to the opposite end of the platform he's standing on, looking out over the looming darkness and clouds. The chopping of the blades gets hope circling through him. Maybe, just maybe, the bastard of a boss actually called someone before taking off or perhaps Finlay got something to work.
"Hey," Caz begins waving his hands far above his head, shouting at the top of his lungs to the point he can feel his voice straining, "hey, I'm here! We're here!" He damn near begins jumping up and down until he remembers that platform is wet from earlier rainfall. He feels relief rise up within him as he continues his shouting and waving.
He may actually be going home. He may actually make it back home to his two girls. He may make it back to Suze. "Please!" The heli, much to his nervousness, seems to hover in one place. "No, no, please, wait!" His voice cracks.
After a moment, it begins flying closer, this time a bit slower. As it gets closer, Caz is barely able to read the words in white on the side: SCP.
SCP?
Caz halts as the feeling he was feeling earlier comes back at him. Something isn't right. He was so blinded that he didn't realize something he should've: No regular person would get any closer than they already have, flying or not. No military aircraft to his knowledge even has the words SCP written in all white on the side. No regular rescue heli would have what looks to be guns on the side.
Caz isn't a superstitious man. However, he feels as though he may have just fucking damned himself by the clouds being foreboding.
In instinct alone, he puts his hands up as he stops waving them. The heli is closer now and he can feel the wind coming from the blades. A voice, sounding like a mix between his own accent and American comes through.
"Back up and keep your hands above your head." The voice itself is male. It's demanding and leaves no room for argument. Caz follows what the male says, feeling the relief quickly die.
Jesus fucking Christ. What the fuck has he gotten himself into?
He listens for any noise, but he can't hear anything over the heli. Not even Muir.
Did the people in front of him have something to do with that? Did they kill him? How long have they been here then? How many of them are on the rig?
Caz keeps his distance as the heli lands. Immediately, two people in gear only people from the military could wear jump out. He doesn't dare move as they walk towards him. The two have a type of gun in their hands. He can't tell what ones they are.
Three more jump out with guns pointed. Before he knows it, he's put in cuffs quite roughly. If the situation wasn't dire, he would crack a joke about taking him out to dinner first.
Over their radio, he hears "roger wilco."
"What's your name?" One of them speaks up.
"Cameron McLeary," his voice is anything but steady. The feeling has only gotten worse and he knows damn well that any misstep in front of the military people will most likely result in death. The men holding the guns lower them into resting positions when the man who spoke to him waves his hand.
"Archer," the man--Archer-- introduces. "Are you a worker here?" At Caz's nod, Archer meets his eyes in disbelief. "You're fucking with me. You're here, sapient, and an actual human. How long have you been here?"
"A while." Caz focuses on the ocean crashing against the rig as thunder booms in the distance almost as though the sky itself is raging. At what, exactly, he doesn't know.
(Faintly, he recalls his friends' dead body and how close he was to getting that insulin. His friend could still be alive right now.)
"Are you fine?"
Caz paused his thinking on Roy at the question. Is he fine? Is he fine? He's been towing the line of life and death for that past however many hours and he's asking if he's fine?
The man seems to see his look. "Right, stupid question. I need to be more specific. Are you experiencing anything odd as in sudden nausea, spikes of dizziness, and odd hallucinations?" There's something in Archer's tone that isn't right. It's sharper.
"Yeah," Caz ignores his inner voice screaming at him to not say anything, "yeah. All of the above."
Archer hums. It's only then Caz notices a man hanging in his peripheral. Caz's heart sinks even lower.
Something pokes him in the neck.
Caz thrashes, but Archer's hold is unmoving and tight. He feels himself grabbed by someone else as restrained. He doesn't even know what he's doing other than the fact he needs to get away-
His vision darkens and he realizes just how fast he's losing any sort of coherence. He wonders just what the ever-living fuck they put into him because no drug should work that fast-
The last few words he can make out make him realize just how much shit he just got himself into:
"Infected....contain...bring....study."
