Is the killing a part of it for Louis? I'm it can be endlessly fascinating and pleasurable but he doesn't like what it means. the loss of innocent life. Doesn't mean he's not a killer, he most certainly is (sna fran, 128 boys etc) but if only comes out when he's not okay, when he's not his best self.

What I'm wondering is, is it satisfying ro live without killing as a vampire? I'm sure it's morally and aesthetically satisfying to Louis but is it physically? Like every time he drinks from blood bags and never ending queue of Dameks, does it fulfill the urge, so to speak? Whatever the case, we know he hasn't killed since the y2k and yk, good for him. Buuttt if there is about 25 yrs of build up for him, i wouldn't oppose seeing him go crazy and eat a couple people.

(Also jacob has described Louis as super vampiric so 🤷🏾‍♀️)

After this, lestat says the sweetest thing about how he's walked this earth for 2 centuries, and he can find absolutely no one else like Louis. But, ofc, the book version does nothing of the sort.

Predators in nature are 'prudent', meaning they do not over-exploit their prey, they do not over indulge, lest all the prey are gone and the predators starve to death. What does the brute from Madagascar and Raglan James mean when they talk about the great conversion?

They want world domination?? The vampires have to know that they need humans. To feed from. To make art. And to run the literal world. The raucous hungry fledging is gonna be able to bring power back after the world goes 'the last of us'? Or the half mad 2000 year old? They are literal immortal vampires, one has to assume that they're thinking about the future in some capacity.

I'm really excited to find out what happens with the great conversion storyline. maybe we'll find more about it in the talamasca series? 👀

Aww their first actual talk.. Also, do not underestimate Louis, not everyone can be a humanist and also a vampire. It's not weak to think of others and of humanity in the face of one's own desires as well as death, and not ve selfish. If anything, it's brave to choose understanding (however forcefully) above all.

I read 'hunt' at first i was like yesss. and honestly, yes, she should get to hunt them all down.

Sometimes, I think about how upset Claudia was when Louis & Lestat read her diaries without her permission. Claudia only consented to Madeline reading her diaries. But, after her death, Louis not only read them but let Armand do so over and over (despite his part in causing her death). And now the whole world knows her story: her innermost thoughts, insecurities, and traumas (partially because Louis gave her diaries to a guy he met once! ) She may inadvertently become another commodity once again- just like the profitable “baby lulu” , she’ll now become “ the girl who moved a million books”.

She deserves to haunt all of these men !😭
