I'M SO BILLY BATSON PILLED RIGHT NOW ITS INSANE!! Anyways, here's Billy and a few of the others!

Since they aren't Gods or anything in this AU, and instead literal entities that reside inside of him, they all got their names from Billy's interest in mythology! They individually chose their names, mainly by starting to refer to themselves as that name and allowing for everyone else to catch on.

Order is, Atlas, Achilles, and Mercury! Last image is his him asking them all on their opinions on something.

You know when ducks fall asleep, only half of their brain turns off?

When Billy falls asleep, it's the same concept. Billy is asleep and resting, but the others don't require sleep! So they can get things done while Billy rests.

Atlas or Solomon are usually the ones who pilot the body whenever Billy is asleep, considering they're the two planners. (Mercury is NOT a fan, let him have fun!!)

I have this Billy AU that makes me So Insane. He doesn't really have his Shazam/Captain Marvel thing here, but instead he has the gods as real, physical entities that he named AFTER the gods and heroes.

Essentially, they infested his body and now he shared a body with like. 6 parasites who each do different things depending on the kind of situation he's in + what they're familiar with.

He's been brought up in an apocalypse his whole life, so he's not the most normal, but who would be!

Ohh ATR Bart my beloved. He's been through ao much and I love rambling about him he makes me so insane!! He's not even the character I'm writing for lol. Living to adulthood in the apocalypse, who would've known..

He's still a speedster in this AU, but there's not a speed force! His entire backstory here is pretty different from in the comics, but his main inspiration comes from comics + young justice. Maybe I'll talk more abt him here if anyone's interested ^^

behold my stp oc prince!!! i stopped giving a fuck abt making him a proper ref. heres the copious amount of doodles ive done of him over the last week on magmas w/ friends!!

prince's whole premise is he's wandering on the path away from the cabin and would lead the player back if they try to leave instead of going in. he acts fondly with the player and would call them "my knight" as an endearment. he represents someone in nar's past life that was a close friend and was seen as stable, never changing, on-task. a guide. hes funny cuz he really doesnt ever change no matter what route you take. only thing that is changeable though...

... is his state of living if you bring him to the cabin.

Happy New Year's Eve, Slay the Princess community!

A long, long message and credits to the designs are under the cut.

[Please excuse any awkward sentences, weird repetitions, and grammatical mistakes, I've been awake for 20 hours or so]

I cannot describe how much joy I feel right now, finally getting this drawing done. I feel nothing but joy when I think about Slay the Princess, and I feel nothing but pure adoration when I think about and spend time in this community. This game and this community truly brought a lot of happiness to me and made this otherwise unremarkable, maybe even depressing, year that much brighter. I wish I had more and better words to describe what I'm feeling right now! Genuinely, I don't have words to describe how much gratitude I feel right now.

And so for my final piece of 2024, I wanted to make a thank you drawing to this community and hopefully express the fraction of love and gratitude I feel right now. And I decided to make that drawing a group photo of 30 different Heroes! It ended up being 29 Heroes and one Opportunist, but I promise there is a reason for that-

If I had more time and energy, I would've included even more people, there are so many skilled artists, writers, and wonderful people in general who ended up excluded, especially due to this drawing being a voice-centered piece. But I'm glad I at least get to highlight some of the wonderful creators and artists in this community! Please check them out and support their work! They are all amazing <3

First! I sincerely apologize if I missed some details with your Hero design, or if I used an outdated version of it. I wanted to keep this a surprise, and for some of these, I had to dive into the depths of Tumblr to find (hopefully) relevant references. And yes, if you've received a DM from me about your Hero in the past few weeks or so, this project was the reason why! 'But even when you dissolved, you gifted me a life. Perhaps it was fear that drove you. Perhaps it was compassion. But the outcome of an act matters more than its intentions. There is a natural order of things sustaining things.'

I really like it just for how much it kind of feels like it connects to how we shape the princess. It doesn't matter what we intended, we shaped our chapter 2's and 3's and we got somewhere no matter what we meant to do.

STP is a game about choices, about perception. In the end, we did what we did and this is what we ended up with. That's just how the game goes, and I think that this line puts it simply.

Oh boy, oh boy Everest you just wanna come for my heartstrings don't you?

I think the moment in the game that made me sit back and kind of think about things was when Narrator finally cracks and breaks. With all the joking I do about hating him, he really was just a man afraid of death.

He's not one of the voices, but Narrator is actually one of my, if not my favorite character in the game. He's an Echo of the man he once was. He's carrying out the wills of a dead man, he's not who he once was even if he is a muddled reflection in the water.

Narrator is someone who is at the whims of life and death. Change and stillness. I can't even fathom how he managed to split a God in half, likely using the very blade he tells you to kill the princess with. For me, I wished I could've seen a little more of him realizing what too much change, or too little change does to a person. I don't know if he was scared of change specifically, perhaps just the aspect of death and never being able to fulfill all that he wanted.

Narrator to me is a beautiful character that shows the want for stability while exchanging the need for new horizons. Safety is nice, but he's essentially locking himself up in a cage.

So when Narrator breaks apart, I can't help but just feel melancholy. I love TLQ, The Voices, and The Shifting Mound.

But to see someone so human, someone so fragile at the end of it all, fall apart and break? Die, not knowing what will happen next, that his efforts could've all been for nothing? That he's not even who he was, he's simply speaking for what he thinks he has to do?

So yeah, Narrator at that final mirror always gets me.

5) (Explore) Who's your favorite Voice?

So, this one's a little hard for me! There's a lot about them that I love, and picking a favorite is hard for me to do! But I guess if I had to choose a favorite, I would say that my favorite voice is The Voice of the Cheated!

There are quite a few reasons, but something that stands out to me is how he essentially tries to gather the other voices against what he sees as a common enemy. It usually doesn't matter the idea, if he doesn't have one, he will do that idea! Something about how he is so against unfairness makes me really happy to see him in action.

Cheated is just a guy I think you can really depend on to try and not screw you over. He's very genuine, and his scene with Thorn really meant a lot to me. I know people really want to kiss Thorn, but its so sweet how Cheated sees her as a victim of circumstance, too. He's so angry, but they did this.

I don’t know. He's a guy that tries to pull everyone together, even if in his worst moments he wants to focus on himself. I like Cheated.

Hmm, I don't think I have a least favorite voice. I think by Fandom standards though, some of their portrayals are what I don't like. I love Broken, Smitten and Opportunist, but I do feel like people often hone in on one part of their characters instead of what they really are. They are some of my most beloved voices and sometimes it feels like they're made to be more 2 dimensional than they already are sometimes!

But that isn't particularly canon, so I don't have a least favorite voice by those standards! I do wish that every voice could be fleshed out a little more, with interactions with different voices, but thats asking for quite a bit! This is a gripe I have with all of them unfortunately, not enough time to really see them in the situations I want to.
