Just like the goddess she tried so hard to mimic. Just like the goddess that everybody, human and not, thought her to be. Just like the goddess that she well and truly was.
Down the street, she walked.
Skin aglow. Literally.
Eyes lingered on her, though it damaged them just as much as the sun loved to do.
All eyes lingered. All lips parted.
And she knew exactly how to shine enough not only to be an eye-catcher, but a star.
