April 13th 1919: Jallianwala Bagh massacre. On this day in 1919, the Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred in the Jallianwala Bagh public garden in the Indian city of Amritsar in the Punjab region. The gathered crowd were non-violent Indian nationalists - protesting British conscription of Indians and heavy war tax - and pilgrims celebrating the holiday of Baisakhi. Fifty British soldiers, under the leadership of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer, opened fire on the gathering; Dyer told his men to shoot to kill. The Jallianwala Bagh garden had only a few narrow entrances, and the stampedes to flee at these narrow pathways caused a number of additional deaths. A curfew was in place, and thus no-one could attend to the wounded, who were left to die overnight. The British Raj claimed 379 fatalities, but the Indian National Congress put the figure much higher at around 1,000. The brutality of the unwarranted attack, and initial praise for Dyer from the British government, caused outrage in India. The massacre seemed emblematic of the issues of rule by a foreign power, and the tragic incident is seen as an important step on the path to Indian independence. . #100years #13april #1919 #britishindia #bullets #jallianwalabagh #amritsarsahib #punjab #peace #protest (at Jallianwala Bagh) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwLXeeDl9Y-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=kqn8c8ve66ne

💪💪💪✌️✌️🚩 Lifting Weights = Building Muscles. Once the body goes under metabolic stress and mechanical stress due to exercise it will want to repair muscle tissue to a bigger size to handle new body stress. Lift heavy weights to become stronger, and train in lighter rep ranges to failure to tear muscle fibre to induce more growth! Of course eating a higher protein diet with proper starches, dark greens and proper hydration, the results will be much greater!✔️ . Balanced Nutrition = Fat Loss. Eating a healthy balanced diet in a caloric deficit(burn more calories than you eat) will assist in the body burning off more fat. Eating properly alone will not build muscle if you are not weight training. Cardio is meant for the hearts health, hence why it is not called Fatio (made that up myself). Of course if you run everyday and eat well you will look better and feel better, but it has less to do with the running and more to do with the eating habits. . . #vegan #healthylifestyle #healthtips #fitness #Freedom #veg #vegprotein #gymlife #shredded #gym #diet #bodybuilding #workout #body #fatloss #gainz #fitnessmotivation #legs #legpress #legdayworkout #fateh_gym https://www.instagram.com/p/BwKVTSDliCs/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fo9kp9oz6ib2

💪The Physiology Of Muscle Growth After you workout, your body repairs or replaces damaged muscle fibers through a cellular process where it fuses muscle fibers together to form new muscle protein strands or myofibrils. These repaired myofibrils increase in thickness and number to create muscle hypertrophy (growth).1 Muscle growth occurs whenever the rate of muscle protein synthesis is greater than the rate of muscle protein breakdown. This adaption, however, does not happen while you actually lift the weights. Instead, it occurs while you rest. So how do you actually add muscle to your muscle cells? This is where Satellite cells come in and act like stem cells for your muscles. When activated, they help to add more nuclei to the muscle cells and therefore contribute directly to the growth of myofibrils (muscle cells). Activating these satellite cells may be the difference between what allows certain “genetic freaks” to grow massive muscles and what makes other people “hard-gainers." In one of the most interesting studies in the past 5 years, researchers showed that those who were “extreme responders” to muscle growth, with an incredible 58% myofiber hypertrophy from an exercise, had 23% activation of their satellite cells. Modest responders, who had a 28% growth, had 19% activation of their satellite cells. What is interesting to note, though, is that some people known as “non-responders” in the study had 0% growth and had a concurrent 0% activation of their satellite cells. Therefore, it seems the more you can activate these satellite cells, the more you’ll be able to grow. So then the question becomes, how do you activate these satellite cells to increase muscle growth? 3. Mechanisms That Make Muscles Grow. Underlying all progression of natural muscle growth is the ability to continually put more stress on the muscles. This stress is a major component involved in the growth of a muscle and disrupts homeostasis within your body. The stress and subsequent disruption in homeostasis causes three main mechanisms that spur on muscle growth. 1. Muscle Tension 2. Muscle Damage 3. Metabolic Stress #gymlife #shredded #healthylifestyle #healthtips #beast #streaching https://www.instagram.com/p/BwBHprdFPQ5/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=z56o8l8lwu0p

Bhai Jugraj Singh (aka Toofan Singh Toofan) was born in 1971 at village Cheema Khurd. His father Sardar Mohinder Singh, Jugraj Singh have five sisters, being the only son of his parents.
Jugraj Singh was 13 years of age in when Indira Gandhi ordered the army attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib in 1984. The destruction of Sri Harmandir Sahib left Jugraj Singh saddened and his religious emotions came to the boiling point, he decided to fight against the injustice being carried out against Sikh’s in their own country and he dedicated his life to the Sikh cause from 1984 to April 1990. Bhai Jugraj Singh used his weapons to protect people and punish those who implicated atrocites on Sikh faith. At a young age he spent some time in Nabha security jail with Shaheed Bhai Manbir Singh Chaheru and Shaheed Major Baldev Singh Ghuman. Singh’s in jail would tell Jugraj Singh that he is too young and only son of their parents so he should stay at home and take care of the family instead of jumping in the Sikh fight against the state. Howeve, Bhai Sahib always said that he want’s to serve the Sikh panth and he does not care if that cost’s him his life. He once in Nabha jail also narrated a incident about how he used his index finger under his shirt to mimic a pistol and receive a ride, as no one was stopping on the road side to pick him up, to reach a important meeting with other Singh’s. All the Singh’s in Nabha jail were impressed by Bahi Sahib’s dedication to panth.
In 1987 Jugraj Singh came in contact with Chief of Khalistan Libration Force, Bhai Avatar Singh Bramha and participated in Sikh struggle under his command. Jugraj Singh participated in planning and carrying out the assasination of butcher police officer Gobind Ram in Jalandhar, at Punjab Armed Police Headquarters (PAP). After this incident Punjab Police was franticlly looking to eliminate Bhai Sahib.
Sikh nation is a nation of martyrs. Guru Gobind Singh Ji created the Khalsa army out of Shaheeds and only those are Shaheeds who’s Shaheedi is accepted by the Guru himself. Bhai Jugraj Singh Ji never raised his weapon on innocent public and he never participated in looting innocent people. He fought for the nation with a clear conscious and he gave his life for Sikh nation and attained Shaheedi in accordance to his Guru. Bhai Sahib was a great men of valor who was not only loved by Sikh population but also by Hindus. Many Hindu villagers left their homes to safety during militancy days but in the area where Bhai Jugraj Singh was active, many Hindu families decided to return to their native homes as they felt safe and secure in presence of Jugraj Singh who was fair and protective of all men belonging to different religions. This is an example in itself and a show of high character of a true Sikh. On early morning of 8th April 1990, at village Mari Butchian near Sri Hargobindpur police and border security force's surrounded the house were Bhai Sahib was staying for the night and the encounter started. On this day Bhai Sahib was sick and a trusted person went to the city to fetch some medicine for him. When Jugraj Singh started to use his AK 94 gun, he found out that the pin of his gun is missing. At that time Bhai Sahib realized that the person who went to city for medicine was a traitor and he took out the pin form gun and then sent the police on him. All five Singh's got out of the home to save the innocent lives and ran into the field of sugarcane. Three Singh's went to one side while Jugraj Singh and Bakshish Singh went the other way. During this gun battle Jugraj Singh got hit by a bullet in his leg and was unable to move, so he asked Bakshish to leave him but Bakshish Singh refused to leave him alone. Bhai Bakshish Singh lifted Jugraj Singh on his shoulder's and tried to escape on a tractor but tractor got stuck in the field and they were both hit by police bullets. Jugraj Singh died on the tractor while Bakshish Singh hid behind some houses and kept fighting and later died of bullet injuries. Other three Singh's including Bhai Baljit Singh and Bhai Piara Singh were able to escape from the gun battle. Almost one thousand Sikh's and Hindu's surrounded the police station at Sri Hargobindpur to receive Bhai Sahib's dead body. On the day of his cremation it is estimated that almost four lakh (400,000) people were gathered to pay him the last tribute which is again an example of itself in the Sikh history. Baba Takhur Singh of Damdami Taksal, Major Baldev Singh Ghuman, Simranjit Singh Mann, Bibi Rajinder Kaur Bulara, Bibi Bimal Kaur Khalsa, Justice Ajit Singh Bains paid homage to the great hero's during the antim ardas of Bhai Sahib. On this day the president of Sri Hargobindpur's BJP party Mr. Darshan Lal Chopra said that Jugraj Singh was their shield and protected the Hindu's and today we feel alone after he is gone. Omega-3s are essential fatty acids, meaning our bodies can't produce them so we must obtain them through our diets. The most commonly known source is fish, but there are plenty of ways to obtain it without consuming fish or fish oils. The 3 main types of Omega-3s are ALA (short chain), DHA and EPA (long chains). The sources shown contain ALA so in order to obtain DHA and EPA, our bodies convert the ALA. Can our bodies convert enough for optimal health? Absolutely! The servings shown provide optimal amounts of ALA for our bodies to convert into the necessary DHA and EPA. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 100-250mg a day depending on your age. If you are not able to consume one of these sources daily, a supplement can be a good alternative. Since fish get their Omega-3s from algae, there are now many algae oil supplements available with pre-converted DHA and EPA. And it is recommended that pregnant women take an Omega-3 supplement. Fish and fish oils on the other hand are contaminated with PCBs, mercury, and dioxins. And some tilapia are actually fed flax seed to get their DHA levels higher. But most fish get theirs from algae. And according to the Mayo Clinic "While generally safe, too much fish oil can increase your risk of bleeding and might suppress your immune response. Take fish oil supplements under a doctor's supervision." So it's better to stick to one of these options shown. #Repost #TheVeganMessage #Vegan #GoVegan #Veganism #AnimalLover #VeganRules #VeganLife #VeganWorld #VeganGirl #VeganVibes #CrueltyFree #PlantBased #MeatLess #Vegans #VegansOfIg #Vegetables #VeganStyle #Veggies #VeganFood #RawVegan #MeatLessMonday #WhatVegansEat #VegansOfTheWorld #SimplyVegan #VeganMemes #VeganInformation #VeganRecipes #VeganFoodSpot #BeVegan #VeganPower #gymlife #shredded #healthylifestyle #healthtips #Fateh_Gym https://www.instagram.com/p/BuTlCcyAr8W/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1sofisaz9270s

💥Aerobic/Anaerobic Benefits💥 - 📈 Here's a helpful chart that shows many of the benefits of both aerobic and anaerobic exercise - 🚨 Disclaimer: This list is not "all-inclusive", but is meant to highlight the many potential benefits of each type of training. Also, I tried to keep things simple in the graphic and the descriptions below, so if you think I could have explained in more detail or been more "sciency", you're right. But that's what books 📚 are for 😉 - 🏃 AEROBIC: literally means "relating to, involving, or requiring free oxygen" - 📌It is low-to-moderate intensity exercise that relies primarily on aerobic metabolism (using primarily oxygen for energy), which can be performed for 2-3 minutes or more without resting - 🚴Common forms of aerobic exercise include walking, jogging, low-intensity cycling, etc. However this can be applied to any type of exercise as long as the INTENSITY is not too high and can be performed for a longer DURATION with minimal or no rest - 🏋🏻 ANAEROBIC: literally means "occurring in the absence of free oxygen" - 📌It is moderate to high intensity exercise that relies primarily on anaerobic metabolism (i.e. exercise that is too intense to efficiently use oxygen for energy), which is typically performed anywhere from 0-2 minutes - ⛹🏻Common forms of anaerobic exercise include sprints, weightlifting, plyometrics, HIIT (high intensity interval training), etc. However this can be applied to any type of exercise as long as the INTENSITY is high enough and is not sustainable without rest for over 2 minutes - 🚨 Keep in mind, for most types of exercise you will have a MIX of both anaerobic and aerobic metabolism, but the ratio of each will be adjusted based on the intensity and the duration of the exercise you are performing 💪🏼 . . . 📚 Baechle, T.
