New hair. Who dis? Hehehe 🤓 . Got a haircut for the first time in a looooong time. I was pretty nervous but had a good idea what I wanted going in. Went to @sportclipshaircuts in Bellingham & was a bit nervous because I am still in the early stages of transitioning & no one genders me correctly right now. My best hope is someone assuming I’m a lesbian at this point haha. They were really chill though & made me feel very comfortable. . The lovely @ashley_jeannine was my stylist and was super attentive when I was describing what I wanted. She checked in with me a lot about what she was doing & I was so happy with her work I felt it was only right to thank her publicly to promote her! So thank you Ashley & thanks to the whole SportClips Bellingham crew for making this transmasc enby feel comfortable and affirmed with great service & a rad cut! I grew up with the Greco-Roman pantheon's mythos as a huge narrative & creative influence in my life due to having a classically trained Cuban-Spanish father, so I was able to immediately identify each deity figure, even with the modernisation, so the thought & planning that went into the details of this are pretty on point! I also love the juxtaposition of the models' dark skin with the light monochromatic costuming & set design. Top marks all around! Beautiful work! This is the kind of project I'd love to collaborate on at some point when I'm healthy again.

I’ve realised that Michael Langdon from American Horror Story (AHS): Apocalypse is one of my Voidsonas. I wish I looked & moved like him IRL, and had his wardrobe! He’s so classy, elegant, refined, gothy, and self-controlled in his aesthetic & movements. I’d sound more like Aaravos from The Dragon Prince, but I still like Langdon’s voice, too. I’d be a bit more emotionally disciplined/restrained than either character, not losing my cool ever so more like a Jedi despite totally Sith, totally Slytherin, totally otherworldly, totally charming, but also totally intimidating.  I think I’m just gonna make a bunch of voidsona posts like this to explore the different parts of who I am. That sounds like fun psychology stuff, right?! :P

I only recently discovered the term voidpunk, but I'm realising that almost all my creative works definitely have a voidpunk vibe to them. Glad I found a word for my "style" heh.

I've been waiting for this cyberpunk dystopian digital counterculture movement for so long now. Thrilled to have found out about voidpunk! I propose this iconic 80s work as part of the quintessential Voidpunk Sociocultural Revolution Propaganda. 

If we spread this message to enough marginalised groups & get everyone to rally behind the desire to bring about the validation & acceptance we never received by mainstream society, there's a significant chance we could seriously overtake or at least vie for dominance with the current status quo. 

If we're going to change the cultural narrative, I propose we do so as conscientiously & thoughtfully as possible. We can learn from the mistakes of others by acknowledging the areas inside of ourselves we need to work on as well as providing support & resources to others who are also trying to do their shadow work. 

Let's start to collectively heal from the generational trauma the human species has inflicted upon itself for generations now. This is the way. Voidpunks unite!

Self-care first always, though, because if we aren't healthy, we can't do the work that needs doing. Love you all, my fellow non-humans! Be well! <3
