There are just two weeks left in the Kickstarter campaign for the Forager’s Daughter Tarot! This is a deck I’ve been working on for a year, inspired by the world experienced through the eyes of a forager, hunter, and gardener. It has strong Art Nouveau influences, and represents the human condition through a natural lens. I’d love for you to check it out, and greatly appreciate all support for the project. Every little bit helps to make this the best deck I can possibly make. There are some great stretch goals still waiting to be unlocked!

If you’ve seen my posts you probably know about the tarot project I’ve been working on. It’s been a year in the making, and finally coming to fruition. I’m overwhelmed with the amount of support I’ve received already, it’s truly been amazing to hear how the deck resonates with others, from all walks of life. 

I’d like to give back to everyone who has been a part of the project, with another deck giveaway! We are about halfway through the campaign, with lots of time left to reach the campaign stretch goals. Here we go!

One person chosen at random will win the following:

One Forager’s Daughter tarot deck and book

A die-cut sticker set (both designs!)

One three-card reading with the FD deck, sent via email with a PDF document of your personal spread and reading notes

One 9.5x5.5 inch digital print of a card of your choice

Stones, bones, sticks, and tarot... all of my favorite things! I am so excited to be sharing the Forager's Daughter tarot with the world. It's been a year long project that is finally coming to fruition. If you like nature, botanicals, insects, or art nouveau you might like this deck, too! It's full of the critters and creatures you might spot while strolling through the woods or near a lake. I've loved creating it and hope others will love using it in their own practice.

I’m so excited that the Forager’s Daughter tarot has met its goal on Kickstarter in just five days! Thank you to everyone who has supported this project, I really couldn’t have done it without these amazing communities. There is still lots of time for the campaign to run, which means I can start planning some fun add-ons and stretch goals. Sneak peak of The High Priestess card from the Forager's Daughter tarot deck, revamped a little from the original! I have learned so much about working digitally since I began this project, it honestly was a world that I was clueless about. That meant that a few of my first cards weren't formatted correctly, so I redrew and colored them using what I had learned about Wacoms and Photoshop. The Kickstarter for the deck will launch August 31! I think there's probably a lot of differing viewpoints on the Devil card, and after considering how I wanted to depict it I believe it could have easily been called The Shadow instead. This is the Shadow in the Jungian sense- the part of us that we keep hidden and houses all of the qualities we detest, but more accurately, don't often understand. It isn't an inherently bad card, but asks us to face our own Shadow in order to come to terms with ourselves. Another peak at one of the final cards- some roses from the ten of pentacles. My grandma and mom have always grown roses, and the flower bed at my parents house has many roses planted in memory of my grandma. The Star card from the Forager's Daughter tarot... still in the works but getting close to completion! Hope, revival, and healing are the messages from this card. For me, this happens when the ice begins to melt and spring flowers poke through the snow. Winters are long in the midwest and these are always welcome signs.
