A Bad Dream? (Peter Parker X Reader)

Prompt 2: I know it’s 3 in the morning, but I can’t find my cat.

Despite the misleading title, this is fluff not angst...

‘Peter, I could get in serious trouble for this,’ you said giving him a stern look. Despite your words, you placed your own hand into his extended one. You left the his front yard, which was lit by the moon only, and entered the house. It was darker in the house than out.There was pin drop silence, and you two were not keen to break it.

‘It’s okay, (Name). Your parents won’t know unless you tell them. Plus, weren’t you the one who sneaked out in the first place?’

‘...That was because I was worried, you idiot. You weren’t answering my calls for the whole day!’ You said, lightly punching his arms with your free hand.

‘Alright, I’m sorry! I was worried too when I suddenly saw you out of my window... I thought something happened.’ Peter said as he gave you a sincere look. His eyes stared straight into yours and his breaths were still unsteady from running downstairs and out so quickly. 

Maybe you did scare him.  

While you began to drown yourself in guilt, his gaze slowly shifted to your mouth. And with one fluid movement, his lips were on yours.

The sudden act alarmed you so much that you stood still as a statue whilst the intensity of the kiss pushed you to the nearest piece of furniture. 

You lost all you senses, the only perceivable sensation being his touch. You thought heard something fall down, but honestly, you could not tell. Swiftly, your hands left your sides and leapt onto Peter’s neck as his travelled to your cheekbones.

And then you heard a faint voice followed by footsteps.

‘Peter?’

All of the sudden all the excitement was gone and both your faces were covered with looks of pure horror. 

‘Quick, (Name), hide,’ he whispered and you obliged.

‘Honey, what is all the noise? It’s 3 in the morning!’

‘Aunt May! I- I know it’s 3 in the morning, but I can’t find my cat!’

‘What? We don’t have a cat..? Peter, love, did you have a bad dream or something?’ May said looking a bit concerned. Probably questioning his sanity, Peter assumed.

‘Yeah! I had a very, very bad dream. I think I need some time by myself.’

‘Alright honey, I’m going back to bed but do not hesitate to call me if you get hungry or something.’

Peter felt horrible lying to her, but it was a sacrifice he had to make for his love.

‘Speaking of love... (Name), where were we?’

A Scratch

(Peter Parker X Reader)

Prompt 1: Don’t you say that... not you.

WARNING: Mentions of blood.

Peter’s finger hovered over his phone as he managed to read his texts with his blurry vision.

(Name): You’re late ;P

(Name): Where are you?

(Name): Are you ok?

(Name): Please pick up my call, you’re scaring me.

Right now, he was in an abandoned place near his school with a bullet wound on his shoulder. Perhaps not in the best condition; certainly not a condition he should tell (Name) about. As far as Peter knew, he would only worry her, and plus with his powers the wound should heal quickly, considering it was only a graze. But still, the pain was manipulating him and suddenly he found his hand holding the phone to his ear, waiting for her to pick up his call.

She picked up on the second ring, however she did not say anything for a few seconds. Peter heard shuffling and someone calling her name and then he heard breeze. Did she just run out of class?

‘(Name)?’

‘Oh my God, Peter! Where are you? You’ve missed half of Chem. Are you okay? Are you hurt?’

‘Slow down,’ he found himself smiling despite the searing pain through his shoulder. ‘I am... not okay, I think. I am in a building-’

‘Where?’

‘The green one... near school- (Name)? ...Hello?’ Did she hang up? Is she in trouble for getting out of class? In the few seconds that Peter spent worrying over her, he heard some commotion at the door of the building. After a while, he saw a familiar figure towering above him. 

‘Peter is that blood?!’ 

Her voice was several times louder than her normal volume. She bent down so quickly he swore it was a hallucination... Maybe it was. He felt a cold hand inspecting the area around his wound.  

‘Hey, (Name) calm down, it’s just a scratch. Nothing I can’t handle!’

‘There’s so much blood... I can barely see anything. Why did you come here?! You should’ve gone to the hospital!’ She said as she pulled something out of her bag: a med kit. 

‘Yeah? And tell them what? Hi, I’m a normal teenager, yet some how I got hit by a bullet. Oh look, it’s already healing too. I’m totally not Spider- Man though!’

‘A bullet?’ She hissed while putting some disinfectant on the cut a little too harshly.

‘Listen, it’s no big deal, okay? This will be healed in a few days, it has already started to,’ Peter understood her worries, but the heat of the moment made him lose his rational thinking.

‘But it is a big deal! What if next time the bullet doesn’t just graze? What if next time you don’t get hit just on your shoulder?’

‘I won’t-’

‘Maybe you should stop playing Hero and come back to your normal life.’

There was silence. Perhaps she registered what she said as her eyes widened slightly and she went quiet. But she did not take her words back.

‘Don’t you say that... not you. Aren’t you my biggest fan? Don’t you love Spider-Man?’

‘...I love Peter more,’ she said in a significantly lower voice, eyes still on the injury.

‘(Name)... Let’s have this conversation later, alright? Preferably when my arm isn’t bleeding,’ Peter said with a sweet chuckle. And it made her smile too. She nodded sheepishly and began bandaging the somewhat cleaner gash.

Peter just kept staring at her face.

‘Thank you, by the way.’
