Happy summer solstice! I just finished this like twenty minutes ago, so that I actually get to post it today.

I feel like Andromeda is often forgotten when we talk about the Black sisters. That is unfortunate, as I think her character has so much potential.

In my mind she only left her family after she found out she was pregnant with Nymphadora. She knew her baby wasn’t safe with her family, so she ran away, in the middle of the night. She wasn’t stupid, Andromeda knew they would search for her, so she made sure they couldn’t find her. When it became public knowledge she married Ted, her family stopped searching for her, instead pretending she never existed to begin with.

In this drawing I wanted to show her the night she ran away, through the gardens of Black manor, leaving her old life behind with no way of going back. That being said, I don’t think she ever truly stopped being a Black, a part of her always stayed with her family, with her sisters.

This is quite old and doesn’t fully reflect my current art style or the way I draw them, but I thought I’ll upload all of my artworks I’ve done so far. This one was quite popular on insta.

The dog is a black borzoi, a dog I find quite fitting as an alternative for Sirius’ animagus form. It’s a hunting dog and can be quite dangerous while also haughty and (in my opinion) stunningly gorgeous.

The eyes were just me playing around with colours.

No matter how many fics I read I always come back to cadence like it’s just THE fic. It has everything I love: slowburn angsty wolfstar, loving and stable Jily, lesbian Marlene, remus and regulus friendship, interesting and funny Peter, so much 60s/70s music, the pranks, good dialogue, the nicknames, mcgonagall, dorlene, great OCs, Marlene and Remus besties, the school years, desi james, and it’s long af. Literally what more could I want??
