Sports Day

A/N: I don't really know how to write about these characters (or lets say i just genuinely dont know how to write for male characters 💀) but i hope this is what you asked for!!! (scara isnt written in here bcs as i said in my pinned post, no unreleased characters sorry!!)

Zhongli

He would be the leader of the school swimming team

Quite busy on sports day since he's got some competitions too

You had told him you'd be very busy on sports day too

Right after he finished with all his competitions, he started hearing your name being announced for competitions

He was quite worried that you had entered competitions since to him, you were so fragile

"Here we have the mighty Y/N L/N VERSUSSSS YANFEI for tennis!!!!" The announcer was very loud indeed, as she was the one and ghostly Hu Tao.

Getting ready, you heard the whistle go off. Yanfei set the ball to you, swiftly hitting the ball back to her. After a few more hits and the ball was aimed quite high, you hit a quick spike, earning a point. Zhongli was astonished from what he just saw, Y/N???? Sporty??? He never heard of that before.

After winning gold medals for tennis, track and field, baseball and volleyball, Zhongli was genuinely terrified by you. The lazy Y/N who literally slept the whole time when Zhongli offered you to be the swimming teams manager for a day was a completely different person today???

After the day was done and you both were walking home he had so many questions.

Zhongli: You never told me you were...quite the active person.

Y/N: Practically quit, but I have gym in the morning before school.

Zhongli: Ah now I see why you're always tired at school, though what do you mean by quit?

Y/N: I used to be on national teams for fencing, so I got my skills for other sports from practicing.

Zhongli was dumbfounded. He paused and blinked, staring at you. He was too shocked.

Y/N: *sigh* Only reason I joined school competitions is because I have a deal with the head coach. He said I wouldn't have to join team trainings or P.E if I just did well in many competitions for sports day then he'll give me a good report. Thats why I always skip P.E class. Oh plus all the coaches are a pain in the ass.

Zhongli: They are quite something. But I'm very amazed by your achievements Y/N. Can't believe you get to skip P.E class too.

Albedo

Albedo was just the one in charge of making sure everybody that were competing knew where they were supposed to be

He never actually knew you played sports until he printed all the lists of competitors

He kept checking if the lists were right because he was SURE you were exactly like him

It wasn't until the big day he finally found out.

"AND WHO DO WE HAVE HEREEEE??? Y/N VERSUSSSSS XIANGLING FOR FENCING!!!" Hu Tao shouted into the mic

Albedo almost spit his caprisun out hearing your name. 'So maybe my speculations were wrong and they were actually sporty?????'

To Albedo, you were just a person that sleeps whenever they can and live off coffee, the same as him. So he was quite amazed looking at you doing fencing.

Still slurping his caprisun, right after the match had ended he snuck up on you and became a whole questionnaire.

Albedo: So you're telling me that you're actually good at sports now?

Y/N: Since the age of 2, yes.

Albedo: But you never went to any training though?

Y/N: Before school training and heavy training for years.

Coach: Hey Y/N, volleyball next. And you kid, go back to your desk. There's a queue full of lost minds out there.

Y/N: Oh well, gotta go. Love ya

A/N: hello hellooo angst anon!! This is oddly long because honestly, I had so many thoughts on this scenario. Once again sorry for the late answer ♡

(also this au is like modern au but there's still hilichurls ykyk)

Hu Tao

Hu Tao had just gotten a job opportunity to plan funerals for the sacrificed soldiers in Inazuma. They said it would take her months and months to ever complete the job. She thought that if she left you to go abroad for maybe even over a year, would hurt you. After a night of making up a decision, she knew she had to break up with you. Though, confronting you about it never was easy. She thought to herself everyday 'they seem so happy.. I can't possibly tell them right now.. maybe tomorrow.' she kept procrastinating until the day she had to go. she realised what she did.

She had already loaded all her stuff in the ship, ready to set sail to Inazuma. You had looked everywhere for Hu Tao until you saw her on the docks. "Hu Tao! I've been searching everywhere for you and here you are. What're you doing her anyways?" you asked, running to her. "Y/N? What brings you here? Wait did we plan anything for today but i forg-" she panicked but was soon interrupted by the captain of the ship. "Hey Ms. Hu, we're all set, don't wanna waste too much more time." She pouted. "Y/N I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you but it was too late. I want to break up with you, I think that you'd be better off with someone much better. For now, I have a job to do. I'm terribly sorry." she wiped her tears while running onto the ship. She could no longer face you so she hid somewhere you couldn't see her. You couldn't even process what had happened, you were frozen on the spot, mind blank. You never saw Hu Tao again. Not until..

1.6 years later..

You saw her getting cornered up by 5 large lawachurls. Without a second thought, you ran and attacked the lawachurl that was the most closest to her. "Go" you looked at her, she didnt move a muscle. "I said go! Do you want to get killed or something?" you shouted as a lawachurl attacked you back.

You defeated all 5 of them but your body was severely injured. As you looked closer to Hu Tao, she looked exactly the same except she was taller and her hair was slightly longer. "Hey, come here I'll fix your wounds up." She said, catching you by your wrist. "I can take care of myself. I don't need your help." you slapped her hand off. You walked back to Liyue Harbour as she also followed. "Can you PLEASE not follow me? I've had enou-" you fell to the ground, unconscious.

You squint your eyes, while trying to open them because it was so bright. "Where the hell....am I?" You try to sit up. Hu tao pushed you back down. "Uh-uh-uh you aren't in the state to be even moving a single muscle. Get some rest and recover first."

The room was silent as Hu Tao was on her desk doing some work, and you finally realised where you were, Hu Tao's house. It looked the same, as if somebody was taking care of it while she was away.

"Why'd you go? Without telling me in the fist place." you spoke up. "I kept on procrastinating to ever tell you the truth. You looked too happy everyday for me to ever tell you." she gripped her pen tightly.

It was just silence again. You didn't know what to say so without making a noise, you walked up to her and hugged her from behind. She was shocked but was soon comfortable. She stood up and gave you a tight hug while tearing up. You also did the same.

"I'm so so sorry Y/N"

Beidou

Beidou had realised how she was away from Liyue too often and barely got to meet you. Although she did send you letters from time to time, she thought it was never enough and that a long distance relationship was too painful for you. She had no time to think so she confronted you as soon as she saw you.

"Hey, Y/N. I'm sorry but it has come to my attention that I've been away from Liyue more than often. I just think it's not a really healthy relationship and that you probably deserve more. I'm really sorry but I don't think you'll ever feel happy in this relationship." She stood there for a minute, you couldn't respond back. You couldn't say a single word and she soon sprinted away to her ship.

2 years later

She's finally done with urgent jobs that she needed to do in Inazuma. As soon as she came back to Liyue, she thought of you but she of course didn't know where you were. She had bumped into Xiangling at her restaurant.

"Ah Beidou! It's great to see you again, what would you like to order?"

"Aha, hello Xiangling, its nice seeing you again too. I'd like stir fried filet to go please."

"Alright, here ya go! Enjoy, it's on the house in honour of captain Beidou's comeback!"

"Thanks. Appreciate it. And also.. if it's not too much to ask, do you perhaps know where Y/N is?"

"Hmm last time I heard from them, they ordered some to-go food saying they're training at Jueyun Karst."

"Ah I see then. Thank you so much for the help. See ya." Beidou waved off running to find you. Although it was quite a journey there, she was cornered by some hilichurls that were high leveled. With her not having any weapon in hand, she panicked. That was when you sprinted in front of her and started attacking those hilichurls.

You signaled a 'go' to her but she just doesn't budge. "GO BEFORE YOU GET KILLED TOO." you grunted after an arrow had hit you on your arm. She ran as far as she could. After a few more attacks the fight was over but you ended up being heavily injured. You started limping back to Liyue harbor but you bumped into Beidou once again.

"Oh goodness! What have I lead you to Y/N I'm so sorry.." She grabbed you by the wrist.

"You should be sorry for leaving me 2 years ago. Compared to that, this is nothing." You got your wrist away from her grasp.

"Right. First, let me carry you back and get you healed after." She carried you.

"So tell me, what even was the reason why you broke up with me? Letters would've been fine."

"I just thought that.. You'd get tired of me always leaving Liyue and barely ever spending time with you. And I thought letters were never enough...I'm sorry.."

It went silent and you snuggled to her touch as she carried you back to Liyue Harbor.

"I'd do anything to not leave you anymore."

Keqing

Keqing had a lot of work every single day, but she manages to do it all without failing. Though it had to come to an end. She just got news from Ningguang that there have been a lot more situations around Liyue than usual. Ningguang says that she wouldn't even have time to go home and that tonight would be the last night before much work. As soon as she heard that, she thought of you. What would happen if she doesn't go back home for months and months? How would you feel about this situation? Her walk home was uneasy, her whole mind was conquered by thoughts.

While walking home she pulled out her phone. You were watching a movie waiting for Keqing to come home so you both could have dinner together until you heard your phone vibrate it was from her “Sorry I’m gonna be home late don’t wait up.” the text read “I can’t believe she’s doing this to me again.” you mumbled under your breath. You thought to yourself, 'She’s been doing this a lot lately is she cheating on me?' “Don’t even bother coming home.” You replied as you got up to re-heat your food and cover hers.

You heard your phone vibrate again but this time it was someone calling, you look to see the caller ID only for it to read 'Keqing' You tried ignoring it but she kept calling “What?” You replied with irritation evident in your voice “why did you reply so harshly?” Her soft voice replied which made you feel regretful already “You know you’ve been doing this a lot, I have barely seen you!! I go to sleep before you even come and I wake up after you leave! When are you gonna stop working late and spend time with me?!” You yelled getting frustrated “I-I just can’t you know how my boss is hunny” she replied her voice cracking “That’s not an answer and you know that.” You replied before hanging up, throwing your phone back on the sofa.

1 year has passed

After a few moments you heard your doorbell ring, you open it to see your favourite flowers and a note that read 'I'm sorry Y/N. Tonight was the night where I was supposed to tell you something important, but I'll just write it here. Ningguang says I won't be able to come home for a few months, Liyue has been too chaotic. Let's break this off, I don't want you to suffer this way anymore. I love you.' Tears started tracing your cheeks.

Keqing had finally finished all her work and Ningguang had let her go on break for a month as thanks. On her walk home she was approached by some hilichurls, with her unarmed she panicked. Luckily, you were just around the corner because of training. You sprinted to her with your *choice of weapon*. You attacked the hilichurls though you were very lousy making you getting hit a lot of times too. Keqing was stunned, she stepped away and fell onto the grass.

Finally after the hilichurls were defeated you turned around to see keqing still stunned. "You good?" you asked. "I should be asking you that." she replied back. "You should go n-" you fell. It had seem so that you hadn't slept for days and had fell into keqings lap fast asleep.

Keqing sighed

"I never wanted to leave you but I had no choice at the time, I hope you still love me as much as I still do now."

Kamisato Ayaka

The Kamisato clan is one of the biggest clans in the land of Inazuma. Ayaka, as the eldest daughter of the Kamisato clan, she of course had to come to a point where she had to get engaged to the son of another big clan so the Kamisato clan can stand stable.

Ayaka had finally told you this 2 months before her engagement. "Let's break this off. For the better. I'm sorry Y/N, I can't afford to avoid it. I love you." Your heart broke into a million pieces. Your one and only, finally had to go. You couldn't accept the fact you had to let go of her so soon. Rain still pouring right beside the shade you both were under. Not thinking much of it, you ran like it was the end of the world. Ayaka had reached a hand out but she hesitated. You ran and ran until you reached home. You were soaking wet.

You felt as if you never want to step outside anymore. Ayaka was no longer there for you, whats the point of life if your lover had left you for another man?

8 months later

You had isolated yourself in your home for all those 8 months. You had a friend of yours send rations every week. Other than that, you had a bunch of knocks on the door. It was always aggressive, it was as if that person was determined for all these months. You finally stepped out. Having a stroll around Inazuma was quite fine. But soon, you had spotted Ayaka being cornered by a group of men.

You sprinted, combating the 3 men down while recklessly getting bruised up in the process. Ayaka was dumbfounded. "You ok?" you asked her. "Uhm y-yes I'm fine." she answered. "Alright. I'll get going now." you quickly said.

"Wait!" she grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you into a tight hug. She placed her head on your shoulder. You were flabbergasted. "Don’t you have a husband Lady Ayaka? I don't want people misunderstanding."

"I managed to avoid it. For you. All that knocking on your door, it was all me. I've been waiting for the past 8 months now." she whispered.

You were lost in words. All you could do was bite your lip, and return her hug as tightly as you could.

(In this scenario, you were blamed of your parents' death when you were younger but your parents were actually sacrificng themselves to protect you.)

It happened to be one of those days where you were out/had work and they had the day off so they had stayed at home waiting patiently for you to come home. But this time, it's strange. Your face was bruised and scarred up, your clothes were torn in some places, you were practically limping on the walk home.

Keqing

She was on the couch reading books she bough but never had the time to read.

"Welcome-" she looked up to your terribly injured body. "home..for Archons sake what has happened to you Y/N!? Come sit down here while I get the medkit."

Keqing started cleaning your wounds."I swear it doesn't hurt there's nothing to worry about, I just stumbled across a big group of hilichurls thats all! At least I survived eh?" You laugh it off. She didn't take that seriously and started to lecture you like a mother would.

"Just please be honest with me love, why did you aim for such a large group of hilichurls without any support on you?" she slowly spoke.

You couldn't look straight into her eyes anymore, you felt too guilty to do anything else. "Please don't tell me you tried to.." she shook her head. "no I'm spouting nonsense right now. Unless you actually..?" She was done treating you and put the medkit aside.

Tears traced your cheeks. You could no longer hold it in anymore. You broke down, sobbing. Keqing immediately hugged you. "Shh let it all out. Please, be honest and speak the truth about what you're feeling right now Y/N. I would never want you to suffer alone."

"I can't handle all the rumours anymore it's not my fault they died right? Please tell me it wasn't my fault my parents died the more I think about it the more I believe every rumour I hear. "It was never your fault, no. Your parents sacrificed their own lives for you, it was their choice on sacrificing themselves. Why would it ever be your fault? Please don't hurt yourself thinking about this, you should've come talk to me sooner." Her eyes started to water. You both cuddled up crying while Keqing was comforting you wih all her love for you.

She was killing some time by practicing her sword skills and was shocked when you limping home with your body severly injured. She immidiately dropped her sword and ran to you helping you to get inside. "It's alright I can walk inside myself, you can continue practicing I'll take care of myself. And plus it doesn't even hurt, there's nothing for you to worry about!" You laughed and saw that your acting skills were no good.

Ayaka knows somethings not right when she see's you like this, so she rushed to go get the medkit while you just sat there. She started to clean your wounds and put bandages. She was silent the whole time and after she was done treating you she finally spoke. "Now please be honest with me, What caused you to be injured like this?"

She stared into your eyes while you couldn't do it back to her. It was silent for a minute and you spoke. " I took on a large group of hilichurls." She replied really fast woth a "And why did you do that knowing you had no support?"

You bite your lip, clenching your fists trying so hard not to tear up but you couldn't hold it in anymore. "I just can't handle any of those rumours anymore. Was it really my fault my parents died? I couldn't have killed them.. I was only 7! Please tell me I was innocent." You cried out.

Ayaka came closer to hug you tightly "Oh it was never your fault. They sacrificed themselves to protect you, so that you could live on and reach for your dreams."

"You were far too young to have experienced them getting killed in front of your own eyes."

Raiden Ei

She was reading some books as she enjoyed eating her favourite dango's. When you came home, she expected you to have freshened up after your so called 'stroll' around Inazuma. The least she expected you to come home as was terribly injured.

"Oh dear what has happened to you please come sit here. I'll go fetch the medkit." She quickly stood up. " It's fine Ei, it doesn't hurt as much as it seems! There's really nothing to worry about, I'm fine!" you smiled as you sat on the couch.

"Bruised, scarred, clothes torn up, fine? How is that fine? You're clearly bleeding here and there. And plus how could a stroll around Inazuma could have ended up like this?" she questioned while treating you.

You grit your teeth "I can't hold it in anymore. I can't live a life full of rumours like this. I thought if I aimed for such a large group of hilichurls then I'd just end up dead like how my parents are." You spouted. "Was it... really my fault?" you cried not holding back anymore tears.

"Oh dear it has never been your fault. They sacrificed themselves just to protect you out of love. They loved you so much that they sacrificed themselves just to protect you." she hugged you tightly.

"Please don't ever beat yourself up while thinking of this matter any longer."

Jean Gunnhildr

"Welcome back Y/N. How was work-" Jean turned around from what she was doing, facing your injured body. "today.. oh dear Archons what have you done to yourself?!?!??!"

"Ehh it's nothing I just took on a large group of hilichurls for a mission! Thank Archons I'm still alive though!" You lied. She rushed to you with a medkit and started to clean your wounds.

"You seem like you're lying to me right now. I don't want to think negatively of you, so please, tell me the truth?" she looked at you.

You took a second to finally speak up. "I just don't know anymore.. I'm suffering mentally because all those rumours won't stop. I've tried holding it in since I was 7 but it's been years and they just won't stop. I thought by ending it I could've just took up a big mission without any support."

Seeing you so broken like this broke her heart. "You should know their death was none of your fault. You had nothing to do with it, they were just protecting you as their role of a parent. Please stop hurting yourself like this. Listening to rumours will only resort in hurting yourself more."

She was writing something in her journal and saw the door open up to your injured figure. Her eyes widened. "Oh Y/N what in the Archons sake has happened to you?" she said while treating your wounds.

"Please pay it no mind, it barely even hurts! This is all nothing, there's nothing to worry about haha!" you laughed. She knew you were lying, it was obvious.

"Please tell me the truth, I don't want you hurting like this alone." she looked straight in your eyes. You took a deep breath before speaking out.

"I tried killing myself by aiming for hilichurls way over my level in combat. I just can't take in anymore of these rumours and plus me being with you makes it even worst. It's ruining your reputation too! I'm just a lousy person who leads to peoples death like my parents. I know I was the reason why they died. I'm starting to believe those rumours." Tears sliding down your scared cheeks.

"Oh dear. Please be aware that I love you, that's why I haven't left you for the sake of my reputation. Keqing

Although Keqing already does overwork herself, she'll overwork even more to finish her work earlier and go to the hospital right after just to meet you.

She'd always bring you gifts like your favourite flowers, figurines, snacks and food, your bedside table would always be full of stuff.

After she found out your illness was terminal and you were practically on your deathbed until your last days it felt like her world was torn apart.

She begged on her knees to her boss to give her two weeks off from work just to spend time with you..and of course, to plan your funeral.

The doctors said you had about a week left so that broke Keqing's heart even more, though the doctors did let you go out for the remaining time.

You both had fun like you used to before you were diagnosed. It felt like the normal days when you were completely healthy.

Though, fun times must have an end right? So you were now unable to walk on your last day so you both just talked for hours in the hospital, you were tired then fell asleep.

You gave up fighting your illness while sleeping in the middle of the night. Keqing couldn't sleep for the whole night but seeing you not breathe anymore broke her heart in many pieces.

Kamisato Ayaka

As the eldest daughter of the Kamisato clan, she of course has a very busy schedule everyday, though her kind brother knows just how much she cares and loves you so he took care of the majority of her work.

The less work she has, the more time she could spend time with you at the hospital.

She would bring fruits and flowers most of the time and sometimes your favourite treats too!

After a few weeks of this routine of visiting you, you were suddenly told that your illness was non longer curable and that you only had a week left.

Ayaka was in denial, she broke down saying "There must be a way, please please just cure them, there must be a way.. I'd do anything! I don't care what the cost is, I just want Y/N healthy."

After the doctor said you can be discharged to spend time with your loved ones right before a week ends, she brought you home.

You had tea time with Ayaka, chatted for hours, went on strolls around Inazuma, hung out with Thoma and her brother Ayato, she even requested for some fireworks from Yoimiya just for you, you both also cuddled for hours on end either reading books together or talking and laughing.

It of course had to come to and end. You were brought to the hospital not even being able to do anything.

You just slept on your bed until you passed in your sleep.

Ayaka was of course in deep denial, but luckily her brother and Thoma stayed the night at the hospital too to comfort her.

Her role as the leader of Inazuma is very crucial, though she leaves all the work to the general, Kujou Sara and the maiden, Yae Miko.

She has devoted all her time and care for you ever since you were diagnosed.

The hospital was practically just her first home and her actual home was her 2nd.

She'd always follow your requests, from buying your favourite flowers to buying your favourite figurines and even more.

When the doctor said you only had 1 more week left as your illness was far worst to cure, it hit her.

"Dr, there must be a way. I payed a lot and you can't cure them? You must be lying. YOU CAN AND YOU MUST HEAL THEM."

She had to be stopped by the guards before she went even more furious.

She calmed down and started accepting it and you were said that you could go out right until before a week ends.

You were brought to her home. You spent time in Inazuma strolling around, eating all the food you loved, spending time with everybody, and of course Ei too.

You both cuddled for hours, almost without an end. She knew without you, the world meant nothing to her so she spent all the time with you, to the point where she just didn't sleep those few days, just admiring you.

One night, you were rushed to the E.R. Your pulse was gone while you were sleeping, it was not in fact a week too.

Ei just couldn't even think straight anymore. Right after your death, she shut herself in the plane of euthymia again.

"Why was it you that had to go too."

Jean Gunnhildr

The KOF was very kind enough for taking care of each and every one of Jean's work ever since they were told that you were diagnosed with an illness.

She spent all the time she had with you, bringing in your favourite books from the library, your favourite food, and flowers too.

She was sad enough that you were told to stay in a hospital until you get better, but the news of your illness not being curable and you only had a week left, just left her mind blank.

She didn't know what to do without the love of her life, you.

Until a week ends, you were told that you could stay out of the hospital to spend time with loved ones.

You got to have tea with Jean and Lisa at the library while reading books, hanging out at the tavern with Jean, Rosaria, Diluc and Kaeya and you even got to go flower picking with Jean!

Soon you were brought back to the hospital, passing away in your sleep.

Jean took a month to accept your death and go back to work, getting comforted from time to time by her co-workers.

You and keqing, always at the top of the school. Since kindergarden till now. You both now attend the most prestigious, Teyvat High School and are now 2nd years. In kindergarden you both would fight over whose drawing was better, though that only resulted in getting scolded by the caretakers and were forced to go to the naughty corner after apologising to each other. You both would ALWAYS either be the at the top of the school together or one of you would get 2nd.

Everyday after school, go to the library at the same time coincidentally, sit right across each other coincidentally since there were no seats left, give the death stare at each other and study until you both get kicked out of school for staying too long. Even though you both were 'rivals' you two had some kind of bond, you'd always be with her somehow. Keqing would always wait outside of your house in the morning and you two would walk to school and sometimes even going out to the convinience store to get lunch at recess, you both would also walk home together. On top of that, you both also live right next to each other too.

And lately every time you see her, your stomach is full of butterflies. The feeling of warmth when you're with her, you feel comfortable around her. Your heart races everytime she talks to you. She might have even realised how you take longer to respond because you're so distracted with the warmth of her presence.

You two are very busy students as you're part of the student council. You spend your week having meetings with Keqing and some other people a lot, sometimes not even getting to do any of your hobbies. Though that doesn't mean you don't have time at night, although you do, you just spend your night fanatising on Keqing, screaming into your pillow, rolling around on your bed and banging your head on the wall instead of sleeping. Thats when you actually realise what Keqing has done to you. She has totally driven you crazy for her.

However, you've slowly realised how Keqing has been acting weird too. She's stuttering over her own words, avoiding eye contact or technically just blantly avoiding you. She sounds far more worst than you are when you're with her.

Thats until one day, after school as you were going to the student council room back from eating at the cafeteria, Keqing was nowhere to be found. *ding* Keqing had sent you a text message.

Keqing <3 : hey could you come to the school garden real quick?

You: oh sure I'll be there in min.

It had seemed so that all the flowers there had bloomed, the fragrant smell of roses, violets, tulips and more made you mesmerised. As you continued walking, there you saw Keqing standing at the end of the garden. It seemed like she was holding something behind her back. "Liking the flowers? I'm surprised they've already bloomed" she said slowly. "ah yes they're gorgeous and fragrant" you replied. "Just like you Y/N," she mouthed. A/N: ah yes a very long hu tao x reader angst oneshot but a happy ending hehe hope yall like it ;))

You and your friend since childhood, Hu Tao, were inseparable pairs. That cheeky prankster and you, whose parents had high expections for your education were just made for each other! You and her would do everything together and would always be there for each other. Studying in the library while Hu Tao is struggling and you helping her, having sleepovers and pulling all nighters, making a mess while trying to make after school snacks, goofing around while buying stuff at the local convinience store, giving out coupons for Hu Tao's grandfathers funeral parlor to schoolmates, and the list goes on.

You both had so much fun together since you both were 5, when you guys met each other in kindergarden. You were very shy then, you'd cry when your parents sent you to kindergarden but then theres her, who'd come up to you trying to cheer you up "Hi! I'm Hu Tao! Don't cry, we're nice here!" While another kid right beside her, bit her. "Uh well at least there's me..anyways, not the point, lets go play! Look we could hide in those slides and jumpscare people once they want to go down the slide!". How you two met was very unique so you just remembered every detail on that day.

That was.. years ago though. 8 years have passed, you both are almost 13 and your parents are furious. Your grades haven't been the best at all. You'd get C's and F's a lot, even while studying a lot too. Their one to blame was your best friend, Hu Tao. They think that you being friends with her has affected your performances.

While that was the true problem, you never would want to admit that cold truth. She was your one and only when your parents were always pressuring you, when you were sad or stressed or anything. And they plan to seperate you both by moving to somwhere far far away. When you heard that for the first time, your heart shattered into pieces your one and only, your buddy for life.. soon to be gone.

You were in deep deep denial but you soon realised that it was for the sake of your future and started accepting it. Fast forward to the last day you were with her. You never told her you were moving, every time she wanted to go to your house, you'd avoid it saying your house is having a renovation, but in reality your house is just in the process of packing. You just couldn't bring yourself to tell her the truth even if you accepted the moving part. What makes it worst is that today, your last day is her birthday too. You leaving her without saying anything, on her birthday too... it just hit you hard in the heart.

You kept on spacing out thinking of what would happen without her. "Uh hey y/n you alright?? You seem to be spacing out a lot, do you have anything to say? Yknow, I'm all ears." She said "oh uh I'm fine its jus-" your phone ringed. It was your mother. She told you to go back home, the car was ready. While you both were enjoying pizza together for her birthday, you finally had to go. Your worst nightmare came true. "I'm sorry, I have to go" you abrutly ran home, Hu Tao also tagging along since she was worried, because it was raining. Tears fell down your face while you were running.

When you finally reached home, you already saw the moving truck driving away and your parents waiting in the car. You both paused. "Y/N...whats all this.. why is your house empty.. WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" she shouted while trying not to cry. "I'm sorry I'm sorry...I'm so sorry.. I just couldn't tell y-" You were already sobbing and you couldn't bring yourself to turn around and face her anymore. "SORRY FOR WHAT?? Why are you leaving...on my birthday too EVERY OTHER DAY AND MY BIRTHDAY TOO?! Why couldn't you just simply tell me," she was hartbroken "Y/n.. I..hate you." Those words immediately broke your heart into pieces. After she said that, her eyes started getting teary and she ran into the rain. You slowly walked into the car dripping wet and never saw her again.

Well thats not until you went into the prestigious Teyvat University. You had went to Inazuma to continue middle school and high school. In university, you are now majoring in law with your friend ever since you came to Inazuma, Kamisato Ayaka. Though Ayaka had an unexpected meeting with her brother so that left you alone on your first day. And when you were in your first ever lecture in that school, there you saw Hu Tao. At first you were surprised.. did she study hard knowing that you'd be here because you kept on saying "I'm gonna be the best and aim for The University Of Teyvat to study in law, just wait for me!" back then.

She had sat beside you. "Hey, nice to meet ya, I'm Hu Tao. You are?" She was dressed so differently then when you were still friends with her.. but she still had that one bracelet you made for her. "Uh hello, my names Y/N." you smiled. "That name sounds oddly familiar but somehow I can't bring myself to remember. Eh thats not the point, lets work hard together!" You thought to yourself, 'Did she already forget me.. I mean that doesn't matter, after I left her like that its good that she moved on.' The lecturer then started the lesson and fast forward to after the class. "Hey Y/N would you like to go to a cafe to do the assignment? I know a place that serves delicious pastries and coffee!" Hu Tao said "Oh sure I'd love to." you replied back.

You both started doing your assignment when suddenly, in a serious voice she said "Hey yknow the past 5 years without you.. was tough but I was sure that you'd be here in Teyvat university so I studied hard! I really missed you, and if you thought I moved on.. no I haven't at all, you have been on my mind everyday since you left me and I'm glad that i get to meet you once again." Those words brought you into shock and later tears.. she actually remembered you after everything you've done to her!
