Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020
Tumblr media
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has just been released and it’s okay.
I got this game the day it came out and was super excited for it. The trailers and promos for this game looked like so much fun and awesome! But I’m sad to say that my expectations were a little high.
*Spoiler Alert*
When you first open up the game there is a really cool video that introduces Tokyo and the different Olympic games that the game includes. This was really well done, loved watching it and the music was really good. I first started with the story mode and, tbh, it took a lot longer to get into the story line than I expected. I get that there are a lot of characters to slowly introduce, but it was taking so long to get to the point of where Mario, Sonic and a few other characters get sucked into the old Tokyo 1964 Olympic game console. After you get sucked in it’s still slow with the story and it felt like it need to pick up the pace and unfortunately it never does.
Beside from the story mode, there is the quick match mode where you can play singularly or in multiplayer. In this mode, there are 24 games the you can play and most of them are quite enjoyable. Getting used to the controls is a little bit tricky as they change for every game that you play. I have played over half of them and they are quite fun to play especially if they are multi player mode.
This game really reminds me of Mario kart, as it’s okay to play in single mode but is always a lot more fun to play in multiplayer mode. Don’t get me wrong, I do like this game but this game is more for multiplayers and if the story mode was a little bit faster, I would enjoy it a little bit more.

It’s almost been a week since Luigi’s Mansion 3 came out and I love every bit of it!
I have been playing it since the day it has been out, I have played 9 hours of it and it keeps giving. There are so many cool little things about this game that just makes you want to keep playing it. The story line for this game is awesome! The animation is so crisp and clean that you can definitely tell that they have put a lot of work into it.
*Spoilers Alert*
The story line does continue on a little bit from Luigi’s Mansion 2, which was on the 3DS, which King Boo wants revenge from when Luigi captured him the last time. Polterpup is a very trusty companion that does disappear from time to time, but does appear again if you become lost and don’t know what to do and is as cute as ever. Gooigi is a very helpful addition to the game. He comes in handy a lot of the time when Luigi needs an extra hand or really, an extra vacuum. Once Gooigi is unlocked, there is a cool co-op feature that lets you add another player to play and help you within story mode. This was not available in the last one and is a fun addition. There is also new multiplayer games on the side where you can have up to 8 players on the one device and have two teams of four and see who can collect the most amount of ghosts/coins for hours of fun.
I am definitely taking my time in playing this game as there is so much to do within the story. There are coins, boos, secret passages and gems to collect on every floor and some jump scares that you are not expecting at all.

I’m so ready for Frozen 2!! The tickets are now available everywhere and I’m just about ready to book my own. Loving all of the posters, videos, trailers and merchandise that they have everywhere!! It’s just to pretty and awesome. Sometimes I wish I was a kid again so I could get all of the merch available and take it to school and be the coolest kid there, but unfortunately I’m an adult and not too many people are excited about the new movie as I am :)
I was a bit skeptical at first when they announced that they were making a second one and wondered what the movie was even going to be about, but now that I have seen all of the trailers that they have released, I’m so pumped for it! There are a lot of questions that I have because I’m excited to see their parents and how they all tie into the story and how there is a separate colony of Arendelle... but I guess we all have to wait and it will all be answered in the movie.

“Would you look at me! I haven’t looked like this since-“ “Never. You look like this never.” “I think my eyes are a different colour.” “All of you is a different colour.”
I’m so excited for the Jumanji: The Next Level movie to come out!! I thoroughly enjoyed the first remake and by the looks of it the next one is going to be good too. Like how does Bethany become a horse?! And love the older men in it too with their new bodies 😂 And Jack Black doing amazing voices with both Fridge and Bethany! He truly makes it.

Why does it hurt so much when we miss someone, something or an experience?
I don’t know the answer to this one because it is different for everyone, but it kills me that I’m so far away from my friends in another country. I think about them all the time and there is literally nothing I can do to go see them except to try and talk to them on different social media platforms. But for some reason it’s just not the same as being in person with them. There’s just this connection and feeling you get when you are with people in person and not talking, texting, face timing or whatever it is, its just not the same. I could cry myself to sleep thinking about how much I wish I could be there right now. But in reality I know that it wouldn’t work how I would want/picture it to be. I would just be there for a holiday and I would be able to stay there for very long, so my solution to see them will be very short lived and cost a boat load of money. And these things can be in any form for anyone but we have to be patient and wait for it to pass, have our cry, and move on to the next part of our lives and hopefully one day see them again.
