HI! I’m the one who sent the fruit bat hybrid Ghost ask! I think it would be a combination of nsfw and sfw stuff, but it would depend on how you want to write it! I did have some ideas for it because the idea has been bouncing in my brain like the Samsung thingy for days now.

-TF 141 first finding out about him being a hybrid because he had to go to the hospital

-Bats are notorious for rabies and other diseases, so Ghost has monthly tests done (when he can) just to help prevent anything

-I was thinking that he would be a Short-Palated Fruit Bat, specifically. They’re from Africa, but this is very important. It means that Ghost would be used to warm temperatures, so I can imagine him kinda latching onto people who are warm and having thick clothes that are fleece lined. I also think that it would make him really enjoy the temperatures of Mexico when they’re on the Los Vaqueros mission, despite his trauma from his previous visits to Mexico

-Lots of fruit bats eat fruits (obviously, it’s in the name), pollen, nectar, and also bugs! So Ghost has a very odd diet compared to the rest of the 141.

-He has neck fluff. Idk how else to describe it. He’s just fluffy

-His hearing is AMAZING, which means his success in the field is already basically guaranteed. It ALSO means that Soap can’t prank him because he already knows that he’s there. (Sometimes he’ll let Soap have the satisfaction like a leopard pretending to be scared when their kid attacks them because he doesn’t wanna ruin Soaps joy in it, but he’ll never admit it.)

-Most bat species (I am not a bat expert) are social creatures. They do colonial roosting and foraging, but also grooming to help bonds. I think that would mean that military life is kinda ideal for Ghost’s fruit bats instincts because (A. barracks are full of people and they all share packed in rooms (B. Everyone eats together depending on rank and health status, I believe. But, Ghost’s aversion to people despite being a social creature who, even if he doesn’t wanna admit it, needs other people, often throws his instincts for a loop because he doesn’t participate in any communal grooming and even isolates himself by having his private room and eating by himself. TF 141, after realizing all of this, isn’t having it

-He just makes weird sounds. Bats are weird creatures, they make weird sounds, but sometimes those sounds are very very cute. I couldn’t find any recordings of Short Palated Fruit Bat sounds, but I did find some bat sounds that are from Africa specifically: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2593wFYxu1s

-big, pointy ears. That’s it. No notes. Cute ass bat ears that make people wonder how the hell he hides them in his balaclava

-Definitely sleeps upside down or in a curled up ball on his stomach and using his wings like a blanket. Idk how many people know this, but I do so I’m gonna say it because sometimes it can be silly. Bats can sleep upside down because their ankle joints can lock, but the only way to unlock those joints is to fling themselves backwards and lift into the air. Young bats get stuck because they’re not putting enough force into their wings when they flap them to flip their bodies. Which means that Ghost has to sleep on his stomach like that when he goes to the hospital because he’d be too weak to flip himself to unlock his ankles (we all know this man doesn’t take care of himself unless it’s life threatening; he’s 100% being put under anesthesia every time he goes to the hospital.)

-I imagine that the 141 slowly started working Ghost into a more social lifestyle by using food as a way to subtly bribe him into social gatherings. They all start sharing food and purposefully leaving Ghost the best pieces of fruit as encouragement. Like, Price makes it mandatory for the team to have weakly movie nights (when they can have them) and they all end up sleeping in their commons room. Gaz definitely has all the gossip in town (so does Ghost, but specifically because people never realize he’s there when things go down and because people assume he has no one to tell their secrets to), so they start hanging out more to have gossip sessions over food. Soap worms his way into sleeping in Ghost’s room (Soap claims it’s because he's very social and is desperate for people, but really he’s doing it for Ghost). Price and Gaz start implementing things like face masks and hair care into the weekly slumber parties. Soap INSISTS on taking care of Ghost’s hair and fur, to which Ghost instinctively gives back. Soap and Gaz make Ghost go on their grocery runs with them because they want his input on the fruits (but really it’s like a replacement for colonial foraging to Ghost's instincts).

-Ghost starts opening up a bit more and becoming more relaxed and vocal because of all of this. This helps the entire team become more relaxed and now everyone is indulging in other hybrids’ (if there are any; depends on how you want it) instincts in the task force. Ghost starts sleeping in their rooms randomly during the day (bats are nocturnal) and even sleeping in Price’s office and the 141 commons rooms.

Anyways! Those are just some ideas about him specifically, so not very many scenarios, but I really hope this can help!

Hi angel! Yes I love love love all of your ideas, there definitely gonna help me with the first fic I have planned to write based on fruit bat hybrid ghost! I think I might add in a hybrid bat reader but I’m trying to think of what type they would be? My brain keeps going to vampire bat reader hybrid because those are my favorite bats and I think it’d be fun to write about with the dynamic of them!!

Oooooo now I’ve never thought about this… hmmmm I think it would go down something like this
