Beautiful.

I seem to be overwhelmed by emotion.

You know, sometimes I feel like I keep holding onto a time gone by.

I came across a blog that was very prominent years ago, and I started digging through their archives, noticing how their presence slowly faded away, posts dwindling. This took me to a rabbit hole of nostalgia throughout other blogs and people who used to be here, used to be so lively. To other sites, to see where they are now, how they've been. And what struck me is how so many, really everyone has let go, they've moved onto something else, or just faded off to obscurity as a whole.

How time passes by. "How fast the night changes", indeed. How a hub of familiar faces that one takes for granted in the moment has somehow disappeared. You feel like it's forever, that moment will last forever.. ..until you've traveled far away from where you started. But here I am. Still.

Nostalgia is a heavy, though partially pleasant, weight. Seeing something so familiar that reminds you of a place and time long ago, where you cannot go even if your heart yearns, you can only remember. My heart aches.

And I think that's why Kingdom Hearts will always be so dear to me, and why I never seem to let go, never completely leave. It represents something in my soul that is fixed to a point in time that is my deepest, truest self. For this is my Destiny Islands, this is where I come to, from all the heartaches, happiness and adventure of all my years and life, I always head home, to the shores of destiny.

Like my heart has washed up on that shore, forever to be pushed and pulled by those waves.

But I can still hear it, the comforting lull, the sound of waves.

Moana 2 gave me serious Kingdom Hearts vibes. Like, seriously, the comparisons are uncanny. Moana's practically an honorary Keyblade wielder at this point.

Netflix's One Piece is really good

Those madmen. They did it. Against all odds, they actually did it.

The live action One Piece is a miracle of a show, being not only a faithful yet pragmatic adaptation of the source material, but also a really damn good show in its own right, perfect for both newcomers and long time fans alike.

If you haven't seen it yet, go and do so right now. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Just saw Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (the movie). I can’t remember the last time I walked out of the cinema with such a wide grin on my face. I freakin’ Loved it! Sonic fans worldwide- you’re in for a real treat.

Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Commemoration Post

Happy 20th Anniversary, Kingdom Hearts! I’ll always have a special place in my heart just for you- no matter how ridiculous or convoluted you get.

I first got into the series when I borrowed the first game from my cousin back around 2004- and forgot to give it back. Whoops. Sorry. 

Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. Sora is one of my favorite characters, and the series itself played a big role in establishing my love of crossovers- even if the series itself doesn’t exactly take full advantage of the crossover element as much these days. The ending to Kingdom Hearts II brings me to tears of joy every time I see it.

I always revisit this series whenever I’m in the mood, and I imagine I’ll be coming back to it several more times in the future.

Alright, I’m ready to eat my words.

Not only is the Guardians of the Galaxy game actually really fun, it also mixes elements from the MCU versions with elements from the original comics, creating a fresh new take on the team. So, I was wrong.

So… that Guardians of the Galaxy game…

I’m not impressed. Sorry. It just looks like another cut-price version of the MCU versions. I know that’s the one most audiences are familiar with, but come on. I’ve played the Telltale series, and even that seemed to be holding itself back.

Besides, I’ve played the Avengers game too. I’m keeping my eye on you, Square.

And now Sora has joined the Smash Bros roster!

Next thing you know, Tugs will be released on DVD, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command will appear on Disney Plus, and Marvel will release a trade collection of the original run of Rom Spaceknight.

At this point, anything’s possible!

Well. This has certainly been a year for surprises.

First Harmony Gold gives the go-ahead for Macross to be released worldwide.

Then Super Robot Wars gets a western release on Steam.

And now, Marvel is apparently doing a follow-up to One More Day with Sinister War.

We’ll have to wait and see how those actually turn out. But right now, pigs are taking to the air, the devil is clearing snow from his driveway, and I’m pretty sure a monkey just became my nephew.
