Possible Solution for Game bar cutting videos short

I had an issue with my computer's game bar recordings where while recording game ambience it would keep automatically turning off after 30 minutes. After days of trouble shooting, I found the culprit and wanted to share:

For some reason, it seems to have been a system setting that changed on its own. I went to Start > Settings > Gaming > Captures and found that under "Record this" my max video length had changed to 30 minutes, so I cranked it back up to 4 hours and that fixed the issue!

Great video and song my wife shared with me. Reminds me of the joyful year and a half I spent staying home during early years of the pandemic. I know it's fucked up for me be positive about something that resulted from covid 19 but getting to just stay inside my house and be a person with my family for so long was amazing and I wish we lived in a world where anyone could just do that all the time if they wanted...

Never thought I'd get freaked by something in The Sims, but recently I took a nap on my bed while recording one of my Sims ambient videos. I had removed all food items from the area to keep "new recipe learned" popups from interrupting the recording*, but what I didn't know is that Sims can actually starve to death in this game. I woke up from my nap in a bad headspace and looked to my screen to see my Sims face all stretched and her eyes bulging out, her head flailing around. Needless to say, this freaked me out pretty bad seeing it just after I woke up. Still not sure if that's one of the normal ghost animations or if the game glitched on me. Didn't help that the scene was also very morbid as all the sims and the area were starving to death and becoming ghosts.

*Before anyone says, I know there's a code to unlock all recipes, I've since entered that in so I can keep my sims fed without problem.

one of the newer players on my server has been working on her hobbit home, making good use of the furniture addons. It's looking nice so far. :)

PEASANT'S QUEST (ONLINE FLASH GAME) REVIEW!

Those familiar with the Homestar Runner series of web 'toons likely know of Peasants Quest, but for the rest of you it is a satirical old-school adventure game based on titles such as King's Quest. Before we had more refined point and click adventure games like Monkey Island or Shadowgate, we had titles like this where you would determine player actions by typing them out on screen.

The game's story follows a peasant man named Rather Dashing, whom is understandably cross about the fact that a beefy-armed dragon named Trogdor burninated his home. He goes to march up the mountain to confront Trogdor, but a knight guarding the way blocks his path - citing that he must be a proper peasant before he may pass. As the knight explains, Mr. Dashing just isn't smelly enough, or even on fire! He also lacks the propa robes of a peasant.

Thus begins Mr. Dashing's quest! You have a fairly small world map to explore, but it can be easy to get lost so I will give you, dear reader, a hint - one of the first things you may want to do is return to your burnt home and inspect the floor, where you can get a map!

Once you have your map, it's up to you to travel around the little Peasant Land, meeting characters, solving puzzles and avoiding dangers. There's lots of great humor in the game and the art is simple and pleasant. It even has a save feature, thank goodness! *

(*Just make sure you don't delete your browser cookies in the middle of a playthrough like I did!)

Eventually you can achieve the knights three requirements for passage, but there are also many other things you can find and use in different ways. The score system is essentially the game's way of letting you know how close you are to getting 100% completion - or 150% completion in this game's case!

Most of the game-play is smooth and intuitive once you know what to do and where to go for everything. There is one mini game where you have shoot arrows at a target, and that one can be quite a pain, but you get infinite retries and there are some guides online to help you out!

I have almost no other complaints about the game other than that I wish the Homestar Runner crew would make an offline downloadable version available. It's not cool to require internet access for a single player game, dangit!

The game is colorful, funny, and if you get stuck and don't know what to do there's plenty of helpful guides out there. I definitively recommend giving this a try if you enjoy Homestar Runner, funny games or adventure games. :)

The oddly titled DM-GoopGod is a very nice looking map set in an old Nali burial temple. It's got some very interesting ambience and lots of pretty architecture.
