(Deltarune) Tenna and Kris yapsesh up ahead! Spoilers!

Okay. So. Like, yeah, we get it, Tenna’s a Tumblr Sexyman, haha. BUT. I personally found Chapter 3 to be ALMOST AS revealing and emotional as Chapter 4. Lemme get my thoughts out before they explode my brain:

Dark Worlds reflect both the area they were created in and their lightener creators. Shown by how Susie’s Dark World was different, but similar to the Knight’s. Because it was made in the same area, but by a different person. And it’s basically been flat-out stated that a Dark World is influenced by its creator’s wants.

So. Kris being the one to create both Tenna’s Dark World, and, in a way, Tenna himself, MATTERS SO MUCH.

Tenna’s entire conflict was about how he felt extremely neglected and lonely due to the all the Dreemurr and Holiday family stuff, including Toriel and Asgore’s divorce, Asriel going to college, Dess going missing, Rudy being in the hospital, the Holidays as a whole being less close, etc. He felt that nobody wanted or needed him anymore; that nobody loved him anymore. All of Chapter 3 was him trying to earn affection and attention from ANYONE that would give it to him out of desperation.

👆ALL THINGS KRIS IS GOING THROUGH!👆

Although they are pretty different, the Tenna and Kris parallels are undeniable! And I can’t say for certain, (obviously), but I believe Toby Fox’s intent with Tenna (or should I say intenna haha ok I’ll see myself out) was to give more insight on Kris’s emotional state, either during or before the events of Deltarune.

TLDR; I’m convinced Kris and Tenna are pretty (though not completely) direct parallels.
