Hello! So I saw the post about sending in my twst oc? I think it was twst… idfk anymore im stressed and its my exam season alry 😭😭 my oc currently has some wip lore with it or smth so i will first explain kts lore and then appearance after

anyways my twst oc is basically from genshin (if thats okay w/ you) who is basically a starmaker (ref to scara’s line abt the sky being fake) like their family was cursed by celestia to make stars the top of a mountain forever (they are allowed to go down though as long as they dont neglect their job for too long)(also when i say making stars like paper stars then they use some cryo magic to enchant it then they hang it with some typa string), and they have this old mirror from nowhere in the house where my oc keeps seeing glimpses of malleus in passing. My oc’s parents passed away when they were 14 due to sickness.

anyways, for appearance, my oc is a guy with a sort of feminine build (like epel) but is relatively average height for a 16 year old. He has black hair with white streaks, shoulder length. Clear, pale skin with yellow eyes and glasses. I can’t remember if he has freckles or not but oh well, u decide whether or not he should. Also he has a cat charm in his hair and red earrings. His family is from inazuma but their house in a moutain is situated in liyue. Also a beauty mark near their chin. (And his name is hoshiko but ppl call him hoshi or mochi)

This may be an overused question, but how did you develop your art style? (Did you get inspired by someone, or did you take time perfecting it) Or how do you deal with the art block?

Hmmm well for me I started drawing for fun in Middle School but I didn't take it seriously until around High School? (Note that there were years I had major art blocks due to having bad drawing equipment 😭😭)

When it comes to developing your art style (also sorry if my advice isn't helpful), Id personally just play around with drawing first, get a sketchbook and start drawing your interest!

When I was taking art seriously I made a goal for myself to keep drawing until my sketchbook was full of drawings. During the time I was a big fan of how Koyoharu Gotouge (author of Demon Slayer) drew stuff because at the time I was constantly under the assumption that you needed to understand realism to make good art-- The change in perspective was a huge game changer for me.

Right now I would say I'm comfortable with my current art style, so I'm not really under the obligation to change it. I'm mainly putting my energy towards other things like rendering, shading, color, composition and even *shivers* l-lineart

Now,,, for dealing with artblock. This is a really tough question because artblock can be caused by multiple factors so it's hard to find a ready solution to deal with it.

For me, when I have artblock. I try not to force myself to draw for a few days. Basically just invest my energy towards other hobbies.

However if your trying to get out of a slump-- Like you really really wanna draw or you already been suffering from artblock for a long ass times. I highly recommend going back to the basics, try practicing your skills again, doodle, make a artboard or something. Don't stress over it, just do it

You won't immediately come out of your artblock but if you slowly build up to it, you could potentially get out of artblock (this is a method that's helped me at least)

Anyways I hope this helps or was at least insightful :3

I would like to apologize to everyone who sent in their ocs 🙇 i know I'm taking a long ass time but ive come to realize that I need to let go of my perfectionism when it comes to sketching and generally have fun with art instead of going all for no reason lmao

I have so many goals, i wanna learn how to sketch faster and better, i wanna color better, i wanna make better composition but i understand trying to tackle all those task will just take the enjoyment outta me and make me despise art

I genuinely just wanna stop being such a perfectionist and go back to a time where drawing was fun for me instead of something where i have to prove myself to someone but its certainly a huge process for me

But anyways imma try sketching out those ocs now muhehehehe

Fun fact: Did you know that Guc*ci officially collabored with Disney, so it's no wonder we see big reference in Disney fandom...(Yes sometimes you can see Daisy wearing official Guc*ci outfit)

Well since Neige in his RSA outfit already has very big inspi from Guc*ci fashion house (big patch pattern, wool cardigan, "carreaux petit carreaux...", beret...the bereeeet!!) I decided to search for an official Disney Luxe Couture outfit...and what better than..... Disney Limited edition dolls!!!! I decided to twist the design from the Premium Series Designer Snow White!
