In my mind I wanted to runaway. Leave, without a word and move on.... why would I wait for him.. why should I stay.

I could hear his breath through the phone, he was holding it waiting to hear the words he dreaded the most.

There comes a time where we stop running away, where we can learn to be patient. Hopeful in a sense that things will work out the way we want them to. Time .... in time he'd be next to me.... in time he'd be home ....
