Awe ❤️ They are my parents 😁. Today is mom's birthday 🎉... too bad we are too far to celebrate in person with them. They are the ones who taught me always stand up for myself, to be confident and always hold on to my faith. We may not always see eye to eye but they have always been my biggest supporter through the good, the bad and the ugly. My mom dedicated herself to my wellbeing and care after my accident even if it meant to loose the business they had. They have taught me the value of family, how to keep God as the center of our family and the importance of keeping us together no matter what. My mom is the one that taught me to always care for others like they're my own and give it my all without expecting anything from anyone. Ohhhh!!! Last but not least, y'all should check her page... It is one of the worse feelings once can experience. We all carry scars, it doesn't matter if they are physical or emotional. The emotional ones are the hardest to deal with. Anything around you can become a trigger that will make you burst into a million pieces over and over again. It's not easy to put our emotions aside, we should acknowledge them, deal with them as they come and try to do our best to learn from it. Growing pains aren't fun, but they will be worth it someday in our journey. Can you believe it's been 18 yrs already? 😱🔥. Some people say that I'm lucky to be alive, I believe that I'm blessed. I'm blessed with the opportunity to open my eyes every single day and live my life with people that I love and accepts me for who I am. Life hasn't been easy, and I face many challenges daily like many of you. I have lost many things in life, but I'm still here with the will and courage to move forward and carry on. I have never seen myself as a burn victim, I'm a burn survivor 💪🏽. Some might call me crazy for celebrating the day that my life completely change, but it's my second chance in life, it's the day that I was practically reborn.... life should always be celebrated. I'm happy with who I am even though there's always room for improvements and many lessons to be learned. I'm comfortable in my own skin and I accept, embrace and love myself with all the good, the bad that the ugly.
