I’m so excited to share this right now. It’s been a pretty intense week! I found out I was a finalist in AgIdeas Newstar competition, I made the final shortlist for Dream Works - Designing Dreams Studio, and a cartoon I worked on with my friends aired in America! You can see a shot I did in my reel. My reel includes work I did for The Australian red Cross, The Beards, Comedy Central and of course many a loopdeloop!  A super huge mega thanks to everyone who has given me lovely words of support and encouragement. It really means a lot to know people actually care about the silly things I do. Anyway, that’s enough feels for this post! I hope you enjoy watching my reel

Hey everyone.  I changed the name of this blog to lisa-vertudaches365 to avoid confusion with my new blog. It seems that someone snapped up my old URL from this blog pretty fast. Which is totally weird, and a little confronting because it's my name! (yes, welcome to the internet I guess...) I'm hoping it will eventually go away. Drawing 365 - 31/12/2013

Well, here it is, My last drawing of my 365 day challenge. I did it :) I decided to dedicate my last drawing to the entire past year. So I've illustrated some of my favourite moments, song lyrics, characters, feelings and creatures. This year had some incredible highs, and a few lows too. The main thing 2013 has taught me, which I'd like to say in a quote is this: "Sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck." ~Dalai Lama. I can't thank you all enough for your continued support throughout this project. Some people have said some truly wonderful things, it's been an absolute blast. I can't believe how much wonderful feedback I've had. So thanks again, I hope to see you on my new blog for 2014:

Hi, I recently got a drawing tablet and photoshop and I was wondering if you could point to me a good tutorial to show me how to make font looks wiggly in a gif? or do I just do different layers with the font slightly off? Your drawings are rely good! :)

Hello!Well to start off, if you’re new to animating in photoshop, here is an excellent tutorial by Alex Grigg: http://www.alexgrigg.com/Photoshop-Animation-TechniquesI don’t really know of any tutorials explaining that particular thing, but it’s easy to do, so i’ll try and explain it :PWhat I do to get that boil effect for type is trace over a font with the brush tool, 4 times or 5 times on separate layers, and loop it throughout the animation. It’s good to try and trace the type as accurately as possible so the jitter isn’t too severe, and it will still be nice, smooth and legible.I hope this helps, I’m not the best at explaining my techniques :)Happy animating :D
