hey hey! haven’t been on here in a while so i figured i might as well post an info dump before i forget about this place again.

sooo hello peoples of the internet! my name is Rory (known as localphantom999, your_local_phantom, or any variation of on most platforms). i’m 20 years old, queer, disabled, and most likely neurodivergent in some sense. i’m a gamer from time to time, enjoying titles such as: Minecraft, Overwatch 2, VALORANT, and the occasional single-player game. i also enjoy a wide variety of TV, movies, and YouTube. my current fandoms include: Hermitcraft and the Life Series.

to be more in-depth about my identity, i’m abrosexual, meaning my sexual orientation fluctuates on a regular basis, just as someone who’s genderfluid has a fluctuating gender. if i had to settle for a solid label, i would say i fit more asexual panromantic. but i just say im queer cuz it’s comfy and i don’t like labeling my sexuality. as for my gender, lol i don’t have one. i’m agender and use they/them pronouns exclusively. if anyone outside of the LGBTQ+ community asks, i’m nonbinary cuz it’s way easier to explain.

As a non-binary person, in honour of femboy fridays, I would just like to state that whenever I wear skirts or dresses i have decided that you are to address me as a themboy. 😜

1- People don't expect me to create art. Like with astrophysics, it's a VERY visual field. But it's something I love to do and have been doing since elementary school. I also really enjoy movies. XD

2- A very common thing: people always ask "how many fingers am I holding up?" Bruh, it's blurry, not all wibbly wobbly.

Okay, there’s not enough blind representation that I see on tumblr, so let’s start a thread.

Reblog if you’re registered blind/visually impaired.

If you:

Have vision that can only be corrected up to 20/200 or less or have 25 degrees or less of peripheral vision (I’m totally blind in left, 20/320 in right eye with 20 degree peripheral)

-Use a white cane for navigation and mobility ✔️

-Have a guide dog

-Read Braille or Large Print (I have my stuff at 18-24 point font and know a bit of Braille) ✔️

-Use a screen reader (doesn’t have to be all the time) ✔️

-Play a sport (can be any sport, sighted or specifically for visually impaired. I.e goalball or beep baseball) ✔️

-Have/had CCTVs, monoculars, or any form of magnification device✔️

-Has/had a teacher of the visually impaired or orientation mobility instructor ✔️

-Go yo or went to a School for the Blind

Bonus:

-What’s something you do that people don’t expect you to?

For me, people go insane when I tell them I’m studying Astrophysics since it’s such a visual field.

-Also, what’s the weirdest thing you’ve had someone say to you or the weirdest experience you’ve had as a blind/Visually impares person?

I’ve been accused of faking a couple times and have gotten comments about my nystagmus. SOD peeps rise up! Weirdest experience? Probably getting pulled into a train by a person who meant to help me.

Regardless, don’t let your blindness define you.

how i see gender:

obviously the gender spectrum is different for everyone. this is just how it is for me. one side of the spectrum is masculine, the other side is feminine, and inbetween is a mix of both. I feel as if I dont fit any of that, so i sit outside of that spectrum. while I could use the label agender, I feel nonbinary fits me best. :)
