Cis people trying to police my identity as a trans guy only made me want to get weirder with gender so thank you for the opposite intended effect🥰

privilege isnt privilege when it requires you to strictly hide your queer identity, i thought we went through this shit with bisexuality and """straight passing"""" already
experiences also arent universal, some will benefit in daily life. this is true.
but making that blanket statement implies you should EXPECT trans men to:
1. have access to hrt
2. have access to surgery
3. pass, no matter if 1 or 2 apply
4. out himself
5. live as a man AND be accepted as such
this is just disingenuous my guy.
we can't even get a basic "all men structurally benefit from a misogynist society" to pass on this website without a bunch of queer men shooting themselves into a panic cause they get too uncomfortable about the idea of being culpable to self reflect. "feminist" website

A trans man who spent most of his life identifying as a woman and who is still seen that way despite years of transitioning is likely going to have more valuable insight on misogyny and the patriarchy’s effects than a newly-out trans woman who’s barely a year removed from her 4chan radicalization pipeline. Conversely, a trans woman who has fought for access to care and legal legitimacy, and has been subjected to years of transmisogynistic harassment in and out of queer spaces is likely to have more valuable insight than a perisex white wealthy trans man who got on T immediately as a teen and started passing with no issues. Neither of this is to say that one group is more worthy of being listened to than the other, but instead pointing out that individuals within the same broad demographic of trans identities can have wildly different experiences and therefore shouldn’t be seen as a monolith of “has this experience” and “doesn’t have this experience.”

if you tried out transitioning and it wasn't for you, i think it's great you explored that and discovered something important about yourself. i think you have a unique and valuable experience with gender that should be taken into account and is worthy of discussion. But you cannot be going around calling yourself "detrans"

I didn't want this on the art post so here is the silly rant i ended up removing :p
sometimes i second guess myself. sometimes i feel fake, boring, out of place. cats are overused, boring, I shouldn't draw, I shouldn't post, I shouldnt express myself. tho no matter how much this is thrown at me, my reality doesn't change. i didnt choose to be a cat, i didnt choose to be anything.
and i think, damn, this is really my life. I'm an actual real life cat. i live my life openly and unapologetically, and i will continue to do so. no matter what happens, what i do, what i think, what i feel. im still a cat. however, it think about it only minimally more than any human does.
humans, typically, don't question their humanity. their belonging in local social groups, or fitting in when going outside. I'm imprinted on by humans, being born to human parents, so i dont question being around them. i dont trust them more or less than any other animal. this is my normal, a (wild)cat, raised by humans.
its quite a hilarious tableflip on the "raised by wolves" trope. i was "raised by humans" instead. my inner wildness has never left me, tho, which has its good and bad sides. anyway.
looking at nature, just to stare is one of my favorite things. i like sitting outside when the weather is bearable (fuck climate change smh). its nice to ground myself. to take in the fresh air. to see what surrounds me. to see my reality. i get to gently swish my tail against the soft grass without anyone batting an eye. its nice. i get to be myself for a minute. no need to hide. i dont feel like i need to hide some kind of secret. push away a part of myself. change my behavior to fit.

Y'know, I would care a lot less about the memeification of male pregnancy if there wasn't such a massive overlap between people who memeify it and people who throw a massive tantrum when trans men and mascs ask for even the bare minimum of inclusion in reproductive rights.

🪽alterhuman term coining🪽
spitekin
Tumblr media
a term used for any alterhuman who kind something out of spite for any reason.
for example, a spitekin may identify as a species that someone they know hates in order to spite them. this could be voluntary or involuntary.
if this term is already coined, consider it an alt flag!
