RIP Ken Page
I just now realized that the same person played both Old Deuteronomy in the 1998 version of Cats and Oogie Boogie in Nightmare Before Christmas.

I really want to see an alternate ending of Hadestown where Orpheus just doesn't turn around even after they're back to the surface. Like, Eurydice's saying, "Orpheus, it's okay, you can look now" and Orpheus is like, "No, it's a test. I can't do it." And then he gets to his house or wherever and finally Eurydice's Had Enough and she just runs around to get ahead of him and kisses him and tells him that he did it. It's okay. They're safe. And he just. Breaks down.

If you switch the “s” and “f” in Santa Fe and change the “e” to a “y”, you get “fantasy”. Which is really fitting for what Santa Fe represents to Jack Kelly.

So, I have no idea what it might mean, but I noticed something interesting about the Madrigal family's powers. The "first generation" of gifts all have a stipulation: Bruno sees the future when he does that ritual, Julieta heals with food, and Pepa's weather is dependent on her mood. The "second generation", however, don't have any specific criteria to fill to use their power. It's not like Isabela has to draw flowers to create them or Camilo has to be in contact with the person he's transforming into. Just something that I thought was interesting.

One of my favorite moments in all musical theatre is in Into the Woods during "No One is Alone" where Little Red Riding Hood says, "I wish-" and Cinderella replies, "I know." It's just so beautiful and heartbreaking because Cinderella does know exactly how she feels, and instead of trying to make her feel better, she allows her to just express that sadness. Also, she doesn't try to stop Red from saying it, even though wishing is what got them into the whole mess in the first place. She knows exactly how it feels and is able to just sit with her in that moment. It's tragically beautiful and makes me want to cry a little every time I hear it.

Elle Woods and Emmett Forrest are one of the most wholesome and healthy relationships in all of musical theatre canon. You cannot take this away from me.

Marius: I’m so sad because all my friends are dead and I have serious survivor’s guilt. I wonder who saved my life.
Cosette: Mmkay, but we’re getting married, so everything’s great, right?

Natasha: Seems legit.

My brain has decided to turn “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” into “We Don’t Talk About Jason”, like Jason Todd, second Robin turned Red Hood. Please send help and/or lyrics.

I literally just realized that when Hercules Mulligan says, "We in the s*** now, somebody's gotta shovel it", it could be an allusion to the Hercules of myth. One of his labors was to clean the stables of this king, which obviously would have been full of poop. Mind blown.
