Merfolk and humans discovered each other many years ago. Lu Guang has nothing to lose and no one to miss him when he signs up to live on land. He wants to learn about life above, and see if maybe there's something better than where he comes from. He wasn't expecting to become enamoured with his human host, Cheng Xiaoshi.

My weakness here is the "no repeating artists". I have to choose ONE album for each beloved? You're killing me.

Madness, by Sleeping with Sirens. My favourite track on this one is Heroine. It was THE song I used to calm myself down when my anxiety would spiral in university. I also love some of the angrier songs on that album because it gives me a feeling of catharsis when I sing along.

Collide with the Sky, by Pierce the Veil. I have two favourites on this one, though I like a bunch of the songs. I love King for a Day and A Match into Water. (Rumpel don't listen to either of those; they have a fair amount of screaming in them)

Fools by Lauren Aquilina. I love all the songs on that album, especially the title track and King. (Rumpel listen to these ones; no screaming, very melodic)

Masterpiece Theatre by Marianas Trench. I was gifted this album for Christmas one year and I absolutely played it on repeat to the point I'm sure my poor family was sick of it. My favourite is Lover Dearest. (Rumpel PLEASE listen to these ones. My Childhood.)

One-X by Three Days Grace. Who doesn't love Animal I Have Become and Riot? My personal favourite on the album, though, is Get Out Alive.

Bimbocore by Scene Queen. Pink Rover is my fave, but Pink Panther is a close second. (more screaming. But in angry feminism and lesbian this time🥰🥰🥰)

Set the World on Fire by Black Veil Brides. Because mood. I really really like God Bless You and Love Isn't Always Fair. (more screaming. Rumpel do not look)
