✨💗 Tumblr Re-Set 💗✨
Good afternoon Tumblr! I am re-setting my blog as I have not been using it as often. It will still be featuring the same content regarding meals, weight loss and general health (as I am someone with PCOS, hypothyroidism, level 2 ASD & mental health issues). I am actually looking at posting more regularly on here and have also put up a side blog to post about one of my main hobbies (gardening) @gardeningistheehobby so if any of my mutuals are into gardening I will also be posting regularly on there as well.
So, as a part of my Tumblr re-set I want to dot-point some upcoming events going on in life for me that I will be posting about.
• DBT program interview 30/7
• NDIS Planning Appointment (not dated as I was told "in upcoming weeks")
•  Psych appointments 12+13/8
• Baby shower 17/8 (I have never attended a baby shower before and I am very anxious about it!)
I know that these may seem small and it is not a great deal in quantity but, I am taking baby steps. I hope that everyone is doing well and looking after themselves during this time. :)

✨💗 Another Check In 💗✨
Two meals I cooked recently for my partner. I've been really unwell and losing to my anxiety but, I'm hoping to get in the gym tomorrow and work out, maybe go for a swim too. I hope everyone has been well and is on track to smash out their goals!! 💗

✨💗 Casual check in 💗✨
I love capsicums so much. I hadn't had them for some time due to the cost but, recently one of the nearby supermarkets had them for a decent price! I picked them up and proceeded to eat them in many different meals, including this semi warm salad with Asian BBQ pork, pan fried capsicum and iceberg lettuce 🥗🫑
I've also been eating a lot less meat and have been swimming a few days every week! I've currently got two tattoos and a touch up healing so, I'm looking forward to hitting the gym while I can't swim! 😌💪🏻

Finally bought a tracker, noticing it counts steps that don't happen (when I'm not moving and sleeping) and despite all the changes in the settings that it isn't 110% though (yes I've asked support about it and no they don't give you a solid answer or fix). Guess it is how it is.

✨💗 Meals As Of Late 💗✨
Some of the meals I've had recently, I've been really enjoying the cauliflower steaks and have added it to my weekly roster (and when I can't, it's something with roasted cauliflower) so if anyone has any recommendations on that front, let me know! I find them so filling and tasty! Beyond that there's been a lot of repetition (with the ASD) in meals but I've been working on it. I've been hoping to eat more in the morning since I've started studying but, I haven't gotten down a set routine yet. I've been struggling with the heat though. I'll have to update everyone soon as I've been stressed and actively trying to sort out the small things for my partner and I's wedding in October. So, lots going on. I will definitely have some new posts soon!
Meals shown:
• tri plate breakfasts with K-Roo kangaroo & bush tomato sausages (2), two fruits in juice (peach and pear), sliced cucumber and carrot in balsamic vinegar with salt reduced tomato sauce.
• tri plate dinner of turkey and vegetable stir-fry with two fruits in juice (peach and pear).
• standard dinner of oven baked cauliflower steaks (spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread flavoured, red sauce and cheese, garlic butter, onion, cheese and breadcrumbs).
• breakfast of honey porridge with raspberries and a cup of milo (with benefiber added).
• small dinner of two lemon fish fillets, cauliflower leaf and carrot salad with balsamic dressing and creamy tomato pasta (small dinner as it's on a bread and butter plate).

A reminder for my ladies: EVERYTHING TAKES TIME. YEARS. So start right now with the little that you have and stay consistent. Drink a glass of water instead of soda this time. Do one workout. Take a walk. Take up a class. Read a book. Start the treatment. Learn that language. And try that EVERY SINGLE DAY. A little bit every day, but I tell you something, you will see the results in YEARS. Yes, you will get that degree AFTER A FEW YEARS. Yes, your hair will grow long, AFTER A FEW YEARS. Yes, you will be in shape, you will become who you want, you will heal, you will speak that language fluently AFTER A FEW YEARS.
Just keep doing what you're doing and don't give up. Ok? Ok. Love you, bye bye 💌

I finally got around to trying this! I used paprika, ground cumin, parsley, minced garlic, pepper and chicken salt on my cauliflower, I also used cashews (which I love). I quite liked it although the sauce was super thick. My partner said it tastes like spiced porridge? It is really filling too! I sprinkled a little bit of finely grated cheddar on-top. I got to try this at a good time as I've recently been eating a fair few cauliflower steaks. All in all, tasty but, I'd probably tweak it a little in future. :)

i have a few popular recipes i wanna try, so im kinda trying out new stuff and preparing.
i thought about going vegan a few times, but i really love a lot of animal products :( i go through a huge cheese block in a week 🐭 and also use cream in almost every dish.
but today im trying a cauliflower alfredo pasta!
ingredients:
cashew nuts
plant based milk (i chose cashew here also)
your pasta of choice (i love the ones with a hole in the middle, but would recommend flat types for this dish)
cauliflower, duh
garlic and species
you wanna start with soaking nuts in boiling water till its cooled down to room temperature (it took mine about half an hour) and boiling the water. then, while you have time its ✨cauliflowers time✨ i was hoping there is a cauliflower emoji :c
i roasted previously cut cauliflower with garlic using some olive oil. i used salt, paprika, saffron, cardamon and turmeric (curcuma). it looked really good but i forgot to take a picture T_T
before blendering the sauce you wanna check your nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) so they are soft and squishy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
i have a very inconvenient blender so my sauce is pretty patchy :( i really want a new one, but dont have the money for one rn. you blend your nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) milk and roasted cauliflower together, add salt if needed (mine did need some lol) and pour it over your pasta. you remembered to cook it right??
all in all it’s a little nutty ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) for my taste, maybe i used to much nuts ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and i was thinking “this would be fire with some parmesan…” i hope the next recipes are more suitable for my taste.
sorry for all the nut jokes i just couldn’t help it (thats what she said)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share what I cooked this morning! I've been eating really late/early since my partner began the nightshift as it's caused my insomnia to rear its head again. So, this was my dinner/breakfast as I didn't eat the night before as I wait for my partner to get home to eat (I start cooking normally half an hour or so before he gets home).
♥ It is honey rosemary kangaroo! 🦘🌿
♥ Kangaroo is eaten in Australia due to Kangaroos actually being considered pests and, it is sold in most supermarkets and at butchers too. It is not so much the norm however, a lot of people are unwilling to eat it, I used to be one of those people until I met my partner and he cooked it for me. I now actually eat it more than him! It is lean and both high in protein and iron.
♥ It is generally recommended to cook kangaroo medium rare as it can become very dry if overcooked due to its low fat content.
♥ My partners recommendation for cooking kangaroo is to cook it like lamb or, to cook it with strong flavours as it can be gamey in taste. I tend to like using more Asian flavours unless I am slow cooking it. I decided to change it this time and to share it with you guys! :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
🌿🦘 Recipe 🦘🌿
♥ I marinated it for most of yesterday just some dry rosemary (fresh would have probably been nicer), a squeeze of honey maybe 1tsp, 1 garlic clove chopped up roughly (it could be grated or crushed if preferred) and a bit of water. I placed it in a freezer bag, lightly massaged it, tied it off and then placed it on a bowl in the fridge.
♥ When I got it out I put the pan on high (I use a non-stick pan as I don't like to add oil or anything) and then slowly laid the kangaroo in the pan. They were two large steaks (they're more like hunks/chunks given how they are packaged, nothing like beef, never the same shape or size). I gave it five minutes on each side. I then let it rest shortly then attempted to slice it but, since I'm not allowed near knives alone currently (due to the APU stay) I had to try and shred it with a fork and butter knife which was not difficult due to it being tender! To finish I just tossed it with a light drizzle of kecap manis, not even a teaspoons worth.
♥ For my salad I am quite basic and I've always loved carrot and cucumber since I was young. I just ran a larger peeler down each and placed it. Before I ate it I poured a little bit of balsamic vinegar over the top as I love the way it tastes. I even got to place some in a bowl for lunch!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------I really liked this! There was a faint honey flavour alongside the rosemary and the kecap manis at the end lightly coated the meat giving it a nice rounded flavour overall. It is a very basic meal, protein and salad, sometimes due to how I feel about food I prefer something a bit on the simpler side.
I definitely feel that my three section plate is doing me some good when it comes to seeing portions more clearly, the only reason I didn't use it was because I wanted more cucumber!

✨💗 Introduction 💗✨
Hello Tumblr, I am a twenty-two year old Australian looking for mutuals who are wanting to better themselves physically and mentally alongside those who already are on this path :)
♥ I recently was discharged from the APU of where I live (Acute Psychiatric Unit - aka the psych ward) and so I wanted to create a form of digital wellness outside of using physical planners/notebooks/journals but also to be able to have some form of interaction with the world that isn't as comparative as things like Instagram.
♥ I have PCOS alongside a whole array of 'issues' but, I am wanting to better myself, I enjoy weightlifting and getting in plenty of protein! I will be uploading meals, prep and many things alike.
♥ I am engaged and currently planning my wedding for next year :)
♥ I have always enjoyed gaming, I played the PS1, N64, Nintendo GameCube and various other consoles growing up - I still play PlayStation and Nintendo, I've started playing PC since I got with my partner and will soon be building my own PC! I love nature, whether I am walking around in it, photographing it or admiring it. I love reading books of all kinds though, when it comes to films and alike my interests are a little more narrow but, I always take recommendations! I have an avid love of gardening, I adore all plants edible or not and I really love insects too! I enjoy writing, art, photography, cooking and a vast amount of other things.
♥ I have an ASD assessment next month which I am incredibly nervous about and not just because it is $1600 out of pocket with no rebate.
♥ Lastly, feel free to ask me anything or to drop a comment, I'll be around also, my username is indicative of my favourite Macca's sundae! :)
