Can you specify from which comic Gambit went from loving Rogue to his life revolving around her? Looking for images of him on pinterest, I've come across random panels that only show that about him ;(

As far as I remember, Gambit is among the characters with the most life without the x-men and of course that includes her.

I blame Mike Carey (that pathetic middle-aged self-insert). Gambit had some low lows in the 90s because of his relationship with Rogue (not saying she didn't have them too), but he still had a lot going on in his solo comics. It all started to fall apart in Legacy.

I'd say Gambit has the most interesting backstory in the X-Men. I'm biased, though 😬
