may i ask what media (and brands etc if you don't mind sharing!) you used for your Starburst piece?

your art is so alive and your use of colour is so inspiring to me 💖💖

i primarily used posca and molotow paint pens, and i used papermate inkjoy ballpoint pens for the initial lineart/some small details 😌 also that is such a kind compliment thank you so so much!!! i am deeply honored :')

side note - i opened up my tumblr to find that my "starburst" piece kinda blew up, and i think this is the first time my original art has gotten popular here! i'm super glad to see that so many of you liked it 😭 ❤️ i also added this to my original post, but this image from elo acessorios was what inspired the piece / what i used as a reference! i didn't expect my art to get this much attention at all, so i didn't include this link when i initially made the post - sorry about that!

award-winning palestinian children's illustrator baraa awoor writes:

this is an illustration for youssef, whose mother is remembered running desperately into the hospital asking if anyone had seen a "small white boy with beautiful curly hair, his name is youssef," a description which was remembered by millions when she finally identified his body:

this illustration is for young omar, who was hugging his little brother and teaching him how to repeat the shahada after him (a prayer spoken by muslims before their death) as he lay on his hospital bed:
