Serennedyweek Day 3!

The promise in the flower🌹:

A peony, soft pink and still slightly damp from the morning dew. He reached for it, turning the stem between his fingers, and a smile briefly crossed his face. He knew who it was from.

Luis had done it again.

It was never accompanied by words. No note, no explanation. Just the flower, silent yet louder than anything else.

(By the way: I can't draw hands, I need to learn that)

The picture and the wolf in the forest 🍂:

"On summer nights, we’d sit outside by the fire. He’d tell me stories from old times—about kings and lost treasures… and about the wolf that lived deep in the forest. A stupid legend he tried to make me believe to keep me from wandering off." He laughed quietly, but it didn’t quite sound genuine.

Leon leaned back. "Did it work?"

Luis shook his head, a mischievous grin appearing on his lips. "Of course not. I was a damn curious kid."

Day 1 of Serennedy Week 2025: Stargazing

This was nice.

Not as nice as the warm bed they left behind, but decent enough second.

Leon kept his eyes shut, the radiating heat from the low fire before him basking the world in a dark, orange glow.

Luis had made quick work of things when they arrived, building a little fire and starting a camp stove while Leon shuffled, half dead on his feet, out of the jeep. When Luis handed him a small mug of coffee, he doubted Luis intended to be pulled into Leon’s arms, but Luis did little to free himself when that’s where he found himself.

Luis pressed deep into his chest, so close it wasn’t clear if it was Leon leaning into Luis or Luis pressing into him, or some amalgamation of mutual need of assurance the other was still there. The winter jacket Luis wore was too thick to feel any of his body heat through, but Leon could pretend the heat bouncing of the fire was his. His own jacket shuffled as Leon curled around Luis, pressing his chin into the crook of Luis’s neck and wrapping his arms around the obscured form of Luis’s lithe waist.

“Leon.”

Leon sighed, cracking his eyes open. “I’m up,” He muttered, putting more annoyance into than he had to.

“You’re going to miss the eclipse.”

Leon sighed. There seemed to be a lunar eclipse every other weekend. But he didn’t say that. Instead, he sat up, pulling Luis tighter into the quilt draped over their shoulders.

Yippee! First day of Serrenedy Week 2025 <3 This is a short and sweet piece but I hope it’s a blast
