So I'm not going to lie, I kinda gave up on the book challenges. Life got in the way right now. I took the pictures on my camera and just have to upload them but I've been so busy. Anyway, here's a new Shelfie. A tiny bit changed because I put a couple books in the wrong spot but here they are. Ignore the black one. That's the next project. That's all James Patterson books and the white is the other books. The middle square is going to be books I buy throughout the month and where I put my tea. I need to get a new chair for the corner but right now I have a chair my son got that I'm leaning against. Books on top are ones I've borrowed along with my husbands pop figures. Then it's organized by color and within the colors by author's last name. Bottom shelves are series. You can't see it but in the middle far right square is my husbands ammo boxes. My landlord is in the apartment under us and I didn't want him coming up because she was whining. And in the living room she was biting my son. So I decided to sit in here with her. She's sleeping. Perfect time to catch up on reading. No son to keep an eye on and no puppy to keep an eye on.

Stalking Jack The Ripper Review

I just completed reading Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. I have to say, I absolutely adored this book. When I first started it, I wasn’t too sure. I loved the writing style but I couldn’t seem to get into it. I’m not blaming that on the book, though. I work full time from 10pm to 7am and I am a full time mom of a one year old – fifteen months to be exact. So I don’t seem to really sit down and read without any interruptions. By the time I finally got to that point, I was near the end of the book. And I flew through the rest. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t even express how much I love this book. The fact that I finished this book and I loved it as much as I did means so much to me. I haven’t enjoyed a book like I enjoyed this one in so long it’s shocking. But that’s a whole different story that I will tell in a different post! The twists and turns that this book has are just phenomenal. I’m not going to lie. I was going to give this book a lower rating but the ending is what really pushed this book over the edge for me. I gave it 5 stars on GoodReads. It was gruesome and wonderful all in one (I hope these reviews get better with the more that I do). I found out the biggest thing on page 251 of the 318. I was freaking out on break at work but I couldn’t say anything until I got into the car with my husband because a girl I work with wants to read this once she finishes all of James Patterson’s books. I absolutely cannot wait for the next couple books of this series and anything else that will be released by Maniscalco. My Reading Story

Hi Babycakes! Do you like that? I’m thinking that I will call you guys my babycakes! Not that I have a fanbase yet, I mean I just started. I’ve made one post and it wasn’t really a review. It was more of a babble. Anyway, I decided that I might as well give you guys a bit of a background on my reading. I love reading. Let me just say that straight out. That’s why I’m doing this. I want to read more and I feel like this would be a great motivator. I want to share my opinions on books with other people. I’m thinking about maybe starting a BookTube. But I’m not going to lie. I hate being on camera. I barely even take pictures of myself, let alone video myself. I’m waiting until I am more confident in my reviewing and my posts in general before I decide to make my first video. Back to the story! I used to read all the time. When I was in high school and middle school. It was a ton easier back then. I had a buttload more time on my hands. I could read in class when we were done with the work for school. I would push through the work just so I could read. After high school, I don’t know what happened. I have no excuse. I just stopped reading. I just recently (like the past few months) got back into reading. I was strictly reading James Patterson at the time because, well, I started a series and I just couldn’t stop it until I finished. And I enjoyed the writing. Well, that is until I realized just how bad it really was. He writes the stories too quickly and things are just rushed and horrible. Storylines are boring to me and romances just aren’t realistic. Moving on from that, I’m currently reading Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco and I’m astonished how much better the writing is. I am really enjoying the book and I’m finally almost done with it. I will be writing a full review-spoiler free of course-when I finish it. My plans for these few upcoming posts are going to be coming from some YouTubers I’ve been watching. I have to make a list of different ideas I want to do, such as TBRs of different stuff. I plan on doing a haul sometime soon. I get paid tonight so I’ll get to order a bunch of books! Of course, after I pay my bills. Once I finish Stalking Jack The Ripper, I’m going to read Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I know I have posted my TBR on here before through Instagram but I’m going to have to do it again. I’m going to sort it by general TBR and by October TBR, obviously because we are currently in October. I’ll try to keep you all updated on how everything is going and I’ll definitely be getting around to posting more. This is for two challenges and they are a day late! I had to bring my cat to the vet for a UTI and it was a crazy day. But day 4 of both challenges. Favorite Fantast and Book and OOTD. The book I chose for this is Dark Lover by JR Ward. The main reason I chose it (not gonna lie) is because I haven't read too many fantasies. I'm going to be releasing a blog today with more of a backstory on my reading experience. I'm typing it up now. And my ootd is just a tank top and jeans. Alright. So I decided since I'm half done with the book and it's seeming to take me forever to read, I'm going to write a quick little mid book review. As most of you might know, I'm reading Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. I am enjoying the book but my biggest issue is that it doesn't seem like I have been able to really get into it right away. I'm not saying that it's slow because to me, it's not. I work overnights and I sleep during the day. I'm a mother of a one year old. I don't have time to read other than my breaks at work. It's harder to focus than you'd think. The people I work with are great and they are hilarious. So I want to listen to them at the same time. Talk about distracting. At home, I'll try to read and it's always then that my son decides that he wants to get into something he isn't supposed to. I'd read while he's napping but usually when he's napping, so am I. (Any suggestions on how to get more time to read would be appreciated) But back to the book. I was reading James Patterson strictly before this and man am I missing out. I have been addicted to watching the YouTuber HailsHeartsNYC. She has made me want to read more YA books and historical fiction. This is definitely a good choice for historical fiction. I'm enjoying it so far. I was pushing through it because I definitely wanted to get to the point where I couldn't put it down and I knew it was a good book. I definitely don't want to ever put it down but I always have to. I'll leave it at things are happening and I'm addicted. This book is showing me how much I enjoyed reading and I can't wait to finish it. But at the same time, I don't want to! I can't wait to start the next book on my TBR. This ended up not really being much of a review but more of a babble. But I'm going to look into some free online English classes (long story) and hopefully over time and the more I read, the better he reviews will be. I'll see you guys soon.
