Songs of the Isle Act 2 pt 6

*The Janus gate opens with its dark red glow and the pair walk through the gate and come out of the other end of the gate into a redwood forest with paths into the city all around them*

Vick: Where to now?

*Apollo ignores Vick and walks away lighting a another rolled cigarette they walk in silence through the forest, Vick keeps looking at Apollo then back to his feet while he himself takes draws from his vape.*

Apollo: I should just leave him here just say to Dion that he ran away or die or…. Fuck it we need him and Dion.

Fury: Do you still care about him?

Apollo: You should still know everything I know, you tell me.

Fury: Are you certain that you know how you feel about him… what he did?

Apollo: I know that he is the reason that I lost Reegan and that’s all that matters.

Fury: You once believed in peoples intentions aswell as their actions.

Apollo: That was until it got my friend killed.

Fury: You are becoming cruel, Vessel.

Apollo: Maybe, Maybe it could have saved Reegan maybe you should take over or leave me alone to work.

Fury: Your friend would not want this and we know that.

*Apollo turns and goes to point at the Fury behind him but no one was there just him Ponting with his cigarette in hand while Vick stares at him*

Apollo: We are getting close now let’s keep going.

*The pair leave the forest path into the city and walk down the streets while getting stared at by bystanders till they turn onto an ally with a door hidden behind a mountain of trash.

Apollo kicks passed the trash and opens the door with Vick nervously following him*

Apollo: OI CHENG

*The room Vick and Apollo walk into is small so small that Apollo has to lean his head down a bit and Vick and Apollo are almost shoulder to shoulder, while their other side is practically touching the walls.

The room is covered with shaves that are teeming with random souvenirs that you would find in a tourist or pawn shop, underneath the shelves there are drawers filled with trash and rotting food that makes Vick gag as he looks closer which makes Apollo smile a little.

 Behind all of that the walls are a sickly bright red but the wallpaper is falling off the walls directly in front of the pair is a desk that looks like it was make with broken or mismatched wooden parts. From under the desk emergers a man with slightly too long of a neck and pot belly that hits the desk as he shoots up to greet them*

Cheng: Nǐ hǎo, Apollo its has been too long.

Apollo: No it hasn’t I don’t know this place smells worse every time I come here.

Vick: *tense whisper* Apollo what the fuck.

Cheng: No no it is ok I am used to Apollo’s special sence of humor and you are?

Vick: Oh I am Vick nice to meet you.

Cheng: Are you another wolf like our friend?

Vick: Actually-

Apollo: Yeah, he is you are never this interested in my friends everything ok, friend.

Cheng: Now I am offended can’t I make any new friends?

Apollo: No, you can’t just take us down already.

Vick: This is tense Apollo is an ass but I’ll trust his approach he is normally right about this stuff.

Cheng: Do you have payment?

*Apollo takes out a piece of Joss paper and lights it*

Vick: Do I want to know?

Apollo: Joss paper it used to help ghost get to the after life but Cheng is a E gui and somehow they have change it just helps with his hungry.

Vick: Fuck.

Apollo: I know you actually learned something.

*Apollo drops the paper as it burns his finger while Cheng breaths in the smoke and smiles*

Cheng: 谢谢你的饭….My friend.

Vick: Fuck, you are creepy.

*Apollo lights a cigarette*

Apollo: Now you see it.

*They both laugh before Apollo face drops and Vick looks away*

Cheng: Rude…. This way.

*The pair follow Cheng behind his desk into a back room which is completely black as though they had entered a void the only visible thing is an open cage elevator which is rusty and in dire need of a clean-up*

Cheng: Are you sure your friend can handle this?

Apollo: Of course the ride isn’t that bumpy, you got this?

*Apollo looks over to Vick who gives a sheepish thumbs up*

Apollo: See we are good.

Cheng: 你已经付过���了.

Apollo: Told before keep to English aye?

*They all squeeze into the elevator Apollo and Vick face each other from either side of the elevator while Cheng stands by the bottons and he hits one but nothing happens*

Apollo: Canny believe I pay for this shite.

Cheng: I thought we were sticking with English mhm?

Apollo: Right smartarse.

Vick: What the fuck are we doing here?

*Cheng hits the buttons harder this time and the elevator falls through the void making Vick hit the celling while Apollo holds onto the bar behind him with a shit eating grin with his cigarette still firmly in his mouth.

Cheng checks his watch and sighs while Vick fights his way down by using the bar on the wall to pull himself to the ground as he does Apollo says *

Apollo: Now that is a beautiful view, do you agree?

*Vick looks out and see a series of flouting stone mazes that are filled with hundreds or thousands being tortured in every conceivable way, the mazes spin and circle the vast open void one coming close to hitting the elevator.

The elevator hits the ground and Vick looks up to see a long stretching street with street vendors all the way down with other streets just out of view but he can see the corners to the other streets.

The place is decorated with primarily chinses red lanterns and big signs with chinses letters except a few with writing Vick doesn’t recognise they all get off of the elevator at the same time and Cheng hands Apollo a small map*

Magnus: of course I did…. The spell is a 50/50 the Caladrius will come judge you and we’ll go from there.

Papa: What does that mean?

Magnus: You are one of the last of the great Arwan family and my sister’s husband I won’t allow you to die.

Papa: You turn me into a monster you will be the first person I will kill.

Magnus: You still don’t trust me?

Papa: No…. but your methods disgust me *cough*

*The dining room window breaks as a white bird flies into the house and lands on Papa’s chest*

Papa: What kind of spell is this?

Magnus: Oh it’s an old and rare-

Papa: Get to the point

Magnus: *sigh* The bird will judge you and it might heal you.

Papa: Hence the 50/50

Magnus: Well 50/50 isn’t exactly accurate.

*The bird flies away back through the window it broke Papa looks at his wound then back at magnus*

Papa: Should we call the doc-

*The wound shines bright with a white light blinding the two men and Debbie that just walked in*

Magnus: AHHH- I think it worked.

*Debbie walks out of the room before the men can see her while they both look toward Papa’s wound when their vision returns Papa is back to how he looked before the attack*

Magnus: See…. All better.

Papa: Yes, thank you.

Magnus: See you can be nice that’s good, now where did you lose my great nephew.

*The scene cuts to Vick sitting in his tent with his research all around him as Apollo walks in he is holding the back of his head*

Apollo: Dion is making us do most of the heavy lifting here so we are going to the night market, any questions?

Vick: What-

Apollo: Great pack a bag and meet me at the gate.

Vick: Jackass.

*Vick gets up and starts packing his backpack as Dion walks in after Apollo leaves*

Dion: Did he tell you where you are going?

Vick: No.

Dion: You are going to the first night market in the world.

Vick: Germany?

Dion: *sigh* China, Vick.

Vick: Oh sorry.

Dion: This isn’t just for him being an asshole you know, you need to move on too you are becoming obsessed and I refuse to watch you both throw your lives away.

Vick: We just want our friend back I need to fix this.

*Dion and Vick sit in silence before Dion leaves and Vick grabs his things and leaves his tent. The scene cuts to Vick walking through the forest on the same path he took to get to the Janus gate for Demi’s birthday party*

Vick: I have to keep working on a way to get Reegan back, Dion is wrong so fucking wrong I can fix this and get Reagan back he needs to know that I am sorry that I need him. He showed me how beautiful this world is I need to save him I haven’t fail him I haven’t.

*Vick walks while looking through his notepad with his research in it till, he looks up and sees Apollo smoking a rolled cigarette*

Vick: I didn’t know you smoked.

Apollo: *smoke exhale* I quit when I met Reegan *takes a draw* didn’t see much point in not doing it anymore.

Dion: Is he coming?

Apollo: He said that he would be here.

Demi: I can go-

Dion:  No…. we will wait.

*Philip points forward and everyone waiting sees Vick walking towards them he has clean up as best he could wearing a hoodie and joggies that are definitely taken from Demi or Dion*

Vick: Hey ugh sorry for… you know taking so long I was-

Apollo: Yeah, cool that’s get this over with.

*Dion doesn’t say a word but walks into his tent and everyone follows him without anyone making a sound. Dion stands behind a podium while candles light up the tent everyone that entered after Dion starts together shoulder by shoulder*

Apollo: Keep a lid on it just got to get through this.

Vick: I don’t know what to do here I don’t want to piss anyone off.

Dion: We don’t have a body to bury or show but I thought we could say a few words about our friend.

Reegan was a good man even before his first death he was full of joy and curiosity…. We weren’t the closest, but he brought a lot of good to this camp and everyone here. Apollo I’d like you or Vick to say a few words.

Apollo: No.

Vick: I don’t mind saying something for both of us.

Apollo: You get up there and I will cut you asshole to gullet.

Dion: Apollo.

Apollo: Don’t Apollo me this whole thing is a shit show.

*Demi grabs Apollos arm*

Demi: Stop being a dick.

*Apollo breaks free of Demis hands but knocks them over then Apollo leaves the tent, but Philip follows just behind him*

Philip: APOLLO!

*As Apollo turns his body to face Philip outside Dinos tent Philip punches him in the face*

Apollo: You get one free one, tiny.

*Philip hits Apollo in the stomach*

Philip: Can’t you just do this for Dion or Vick

*While Apollo is hunched over from Philips punch, he single legs Philp to the ground and gets on top of Philip and starts to beat him till Demi hits Apollo over the head with one of the candle sticks from Dions tent.

Apollo falls over and Reegans map falls out of his pocket Demi picks up the Map and looks at it while Philip and Apollo groan on the ground till Dion finally comes out of his tent and takes the Map while Demi helps Philip to his feet*

Apollo: *slurred* Give that back.

Dion: Planning a trip to the states- This is Reegans isn’t.

Apollo: Just give it back.

Dion: Are you going?

Apollo: *sigh* I don’t know.

Dion: I think you should it might help you clear your head- maybe help you from being such an asshole.

Apollo: WHY ARE ACTING LIKE YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE HURTING-

Dion: I am not I am just trying to help everyone through this without acting like a baby.

*Dion walks up to Apollo and knees next to him*

Dion: I’ll get Hermes to make the arrangements for you….. I don’t want to see you till you have done this…. You aren’t the man i- know so get him back.

Apollo: *grinding teeth* Why?

*The scene returns to Papa bleeding out on the dining room table in his house barely awake till he sees a man in a full suit, trench coat and bowler hat* 

Papa: Magnus *grunt*

*The man stands over Papa and places a hand on his shoulder*

Magnus: *breaths in calmly* I’m glad I paid you a visit now I’ll do my best to save you, Brother

Papa: Brother-in-law *spits blood onto the floor*

Magnus: Technicalities.

*Magnus places his hand in his coat and takes out a bag then opens it pouring some dirt onto his hand then after he places the bag back into his coat he holds Papa’s shoulder tightly*

Magnus: Caladrius, patientem tuum iuste et benigne iudica.

*They both look at each other till Papa starts coughing again and Magnus puts the dirt back into his bag*

Hermes: Apollo it is good to see you I need you to look into these it could be Leander.

Apollo: Hermes-

Hermes: I’ll get you anything you need but-

Apollo: HERMES.

*Hermes comes out of his daze and looks at Apollo*

Hermes: what happened to your hair.

Apollo: I need all your contacts that deal with ghosts…. everyone.

Hermes: My friend you-

Apollo: I wasn’t asking Hermes, and I am not repeating myself.

Hermes: Ok…. don’t you ever speak to me like this again or I’ll send you to the underworld I don’t care what you have lost.

Apollo: Fine…. just get me what I need.

*Hermes heads back to his desk and starts getting some papers together Apollo stands in place till he turns his head seeing Fury looking at him*

Fury: Seems unwise to treat an ally so…. Callously.

Apollo: I just want the info don’t want to be here long Dion or…. Vick might be around.

Fury: They could prove useful…. maybe you should-

Apollo: CAN IT.

*Hermes heads shoots up and looks at Apollo*

Hermes: I said nothing.

Apollo: Sorry… just keep going.

Hermes: Are you-

Apollo: I am great.

Fury: *sighs* Lying now…. Not good, Vessel.

*Apollo walks out of the tree that leads to Hermes office and sees Dion waiting for him*

Apollo: I still hate you but we need to do this funeral thing for Dion if we want to hang around here.

*Apollo walks out of the tent and Vick starts to tear at the pages he has in his hands while Apollo stops outside to grint his teeth and punch himself in the leg before walking toward Dions tent the scene cuts to Papa walking through the woods with Debbie trailing him from behind.

Papa is unshaven and his eyes are sunken he is walking down the paths of the forest with his shotgun point forward*

Debbie: Slow down…. WILLIAM!

Papa: Keep up or go home I need to find my grandson and my friend.

Debbie: BUT-

Papa: JUST GO.

*Debbie stops and turns around then Papa falls to one knee, and we see his pov where his vision is blurry and spinning. Papa slaps his face and starts marching again*

Papa: I cannot lose Vick I must push further I need to save him Leander can take care of himself, but Vick needs me.

*Papa presses forward into the forest till he comes to the clearing seeing Stefans burns still around. Starts to move into the clearing with his shotgun aiming Infront of him checking between the trees all around him then as he turns to check his left side a Troll like creature with black fur covering its body starts running toward Papa.

The large creature has sharp teeth but two that are bigger than the rest, that come up from its lower jaw almost covering its face. Only thing more eye catching that its teeth is its torchlike eyes and massive hands that could be mistaken as bear paws*

Papa: Not now.

*Papa shoots the creature in the shoulder which only makes the creature jump to its hind legs to continue running him down*

Papa: Ugly and determined…. Still won’t save you.

*Papa kneels down on one knee and the creature is about to hit him with its claws, but Papa blows away a chuck of the creatures thigh. The creatures claws still nick Papa’s left arm which causes Papa to fall over onto his right side the creature hops on top of him and starts to bite his forearm as he keeps the creature from biting his face*

Papa: I don’t have time for this Vick may only have hours- minutes left I need to finish this now.

*Papa uses his free hand to reach into his trench coat and pulls out a combat knife and stabs the creatures stomach. The creature screams out but doesn’t let him go so Papa twists the knife then drags the blade across its stomach till the creature innards fall onto him*

Papa: AHAHGAAHAHAGAH!!

*Papa makes the creature fall onto its side away from him he sits there laying in his blood he hears Debbie yelling and sighs before look into the clearing to see the shimmer of the fortresses invisibility*

Papa: what?

*Papa passes out then the scene goes to Apollo waiting next to Dion and the goats*

Dion: Did you sleep at all?

Vick: I can’t I have too much work to do- is this all you have on ghosts?

Dion: Yes…. I went to see Apollo.

*Vick freezes then continues to reading and write in his notepad*

Vick: How is he doing?

Dion: About the same as you we all need to talk about Reegans funeral.

Vick: No I am so close I can save him- I’ll fix it.

Dion: Oh honey…. He is gone.

Vick: NO HE ISNT I CAN FIX THIS I HAVE TO SO JUST- JUST GO AWAY IF YOU ARENT GOING TO HELP.

Dion: *deep inhale* Ok.

*Dion Walks out as Vick starts to tear up a bit then the scene cuts to Dion walking into Hermes office which is covered in papers and Weapons laying on the floor*

Dion: Hermes will hopefully not be busy I really need him right now.

Dion: Hermes?

*Hermes runs into the room and starts to look through Paper*

Hermes: Do you remember where Hercules was living swear, he was living somewhere in Germany, but our info is outdated.

Dion: No he wanted to be left alone a long time ago.

Hermes: Fuck- ok ok I’ll find him.

*Hermes runs out of the room again*

Dion: Thanks for nothing.

*The scene cuts to Dion in his Tent he is sitting in the same chair he integrated Vick in but with his Table in front of him*

Dion: I’ll have to plan his funeral I have got this they need me- I have to be strong you have done this time and time again just- one more.

*Dion sits for a second before flipping the table and screaming*

Dion: Why is it me again I can’t lose anyone else- please just…. Let me have some help.

*Dion falls to the ground and starts to sob*

*The scene cuts to Apollo staring into a mirror that is laying on the ground in a room filled with objects that have been covered by sheets, Apollo reaches to his right and grabs one of the knifes he was throwing at Leander. *

Apollo: Dion was right We- I need to get my shit together for Reegan.

*Apollo brings up the knife towards his face pausing for a second before cutting off his hair that has been tied up then grabs an old and almost completely broken electric razor, he starts to go over his head with it until all of his hair has been cut off.

Apollo then walks over to the other side of the room to strip down and hop into a bath, he washes up only stopping when he feels the scars he got from Leander and Stefan. *

Fury: You have survived so many foes even before our help.

Apollo: Yeah.

Fury: We have been looking through your memory while you have…. Grieved.

 Apollo: *Sigh* Thought you knew everything about me already?

Fury: We knew enough at that time but now that we have to cooperate with you-

Apollo: Just take my deal.

Fury: We will not as long as that Moth is around but as we were saying…... you seem to have friends and family.

Apollo: Watch It.

Fury: Of course we wouldn’t bring up your old home and that unpleasantness, but we do advise you to deal with them as our vessel.

Apollo: Get to the fucking point or I am going to drown myself.

Fury: *sigh* Fine, we were curious why are you only happy around others?

Apollo: What the hell are you talking about?

Fury: Well… the more we see into that head the more we see that you are simply… miserable without someone.

*Apollo gets out of the Bath and the scene goes to the library where Apollo is dressed in what’s left of the clothes, he fought Leander in, Apollo looks though the books seeing all of Reegans notes and drawings.

He places his hand on a drawing that Reegan did of him in the werewolf section of one of the books Before he starts to put them away in their correct places, but just as he is about to finish putting them away, he finds a folded piece of paper in the last book and Apollo takes it out. *

Apollo: What the hell.

*Apollo opens up the paper and sees a map of American but with drawings covering it with a line from the east side to the west side of the country Apollo flips the paper and sees some writing*

Paper: I can’t wait to get out of here and see home again gonna have to explore everything again especially the new supernatural stuff 😊.

Apollo: The other part of this is written in a different pen he must have wrote this awhile after he finished the map.

Paper: We and Apollo’s American Adventure.

*Apollo stuffs the paper into his pocket and just stands in place for a moment before leaving the room the scene goes to Vick in his tent at Dions camp he is looking through his copy of the Grimoire while taking notes on a piece of paper till Demi walks into his tent*

Demi: Hey dude you missed lunch……and breakfast you gonna take a break soon.

Vick: Hey- hmm sorry what did you say?

Demi: Come on you have to rest Dion is worried sick about you all.

Vick: Yeah, yeah soon I just need to look at this bit again I think I found something that can help me- us get Reegan back.

Demi: Vick he is gone…. For good this time you need to accept that.

Vick: I DON’T NEED TO- I’m sorry I didn’t mean to I just…. I have to fix this.

Demi: Forget I said anything just- go see Dion or Apollo-

Vick: No he…. he hates me now and I don’t blame him, but I can fix it.

Demi: Sure.

*Demi backs out of the tent and starts walking through the camp and sees Apollo walking In the direction of Hermes Office Demi runs in the other direction then the scene goes to Apollo walking into Hermes office. Hermes is sitting at his desk but his suit is messy and the same goes for his desk cluttered*

Apollo: *raspy* Hey.

*Hermes takes a second to hear Apollo when he does his head shoots up and he starts to speed walk over to him clutching papers in his hand*

Songs of the Isle Act 2 pt 1

*The scene starts with the blackness of Cassandras room, but all of the previous furniture and belonging aren’t there just space and in the middle of all of that nothingness was Leanders bleeding body the only sound is his shallow breaths*

Leander: I know that *cough* You are there.

Cassandra: *chuckle* What gave me away?

Leander: *cough* I just knew…. I just knew.

*Cassandra walks into the scene sitting crossed legged next to Leander as the bleeding gets worse*

Cassandra: Gods I really hoped that you would change.

Leander: I tried…. for a while but the answer is always the same.

*Leander starts to cough violently Cassandra places a hand onto his chest*

Cassandra: Even after everything you have done…. *Holding back tears* I still wished we could have-

Leander: What? - lived like them? We exist for them no matter what happens we will always be the pillars of a died world, and we are now made to watch.

Cassandra: I wasn’t I was mortal once why don’t you hate me?

*Cassandra laughs and lays down next to Leander*

*Leander starts to cry as Cassandra joins him*

*Leanders eyes close as Cassandra stands up and opens her pocket dimension and starts to walk through it*

Cassandra: I will fix this world for you I will make an equal world, a world without the gods.

1 week later

*The scene cuts to Apollo waking up where Reegan was Banished, he is next to a bottle of whisky that he is staring at with bloodshot eyes then the scene goes to the front entrance of the fortress where a younger Apollo kicks in the door. He is soaked with rain and clearly hasn’t slept in a while he stumbles into the room till Reegan teleports in front of him*

Reegan and apollo: MOTHERFUCKER-

*Apollo runs under a table transforming into his more wolf form Reegan slowly walks over to him but as he gets close, Apollo starts to claw at Reegan, but Reegan backs up before it hits him. *

Reegan: Hey…. Hi, I’m Reegan sorry but I never talked to someone since like 1992 ish, so I am a bit awkward. What’s your name, huh?

*Apollos stares back with terrified look as his claws dig into the wooden table above him*

Reegan: Ok not the talking type got it…. How did you find this place?

*Apollo comes out from under the table and approaches Reegan slowly but still partially transformed*

Reegan: Do you understand me?

*Apollo nods while just looking at Reegan*

Reegan: Thank fuck ok mmmh are you hungry?

*Apollo nods again with a blank but somewhat innocent expression*

Reegan: One second.

*Reegan disappears then reappears after a little bit which startles Apollo*

Reegan: Sorry, sorry I was just grabbing you something for you to eat.

*Reegan places food onto one of the tables then backs away as Apollo sits at the table but doesn’t eat*

Reegan: What’s up, do you not like any of this?

*They both sit in silence before Reegan starts to bite into some of the food*

Reegan: See its good.

*After seeing this Apollo starts to eat everything on the table barely breathing between bites, he transforms back into his human form showing how skinny and dirty he is*

Reegan: Oh my God…. What has he been doing??

Reegan: I am going to guess that you aren’t ready to talk so…. Is it ok if I rant about…. well everything it has been years *little laugh*

*Apollo stops eating before nodding then starts eating again after then a montage of Reegan telling Apollo everything about dying then shows him the whole fort talking constantly*

Reegan: Sorry for all of that.

Apollo: *quiet* It’s cool thanks for the food.

*Reegan and he smile before Reegan goes back into rant mode then the scene cuts to present Apollo standing over the spot where Reegan died*

Apollo: I miss him too, but you can’t keep bringing us here in our sleep.

Fury: Are you talking to us.

Apollo: Only if you are here to take my offer.

Fury: We are not.

Apollo: Then fuck off.

*Apollo brushes pass the vision of the fury making them disappear then Apollo stops after noticing Dion looking at him*

Dion: Are you ok?

Apollo: I am…. Fucking golden how about you?

Dion: You look like shit.

Apollo: Then let’s go for a bath again.

*Apollo and Dion are inches from each other as Apollo brushes his hand against Dion’s hand*

Dion: *Sigh* We need to talk about Reegan.

*Apollo steps back looking away from Dion*

Dion: He hasn’t gotten a proper funeral Apollo.

Apollo: Don’t talk about this…. Come on just- let’s just not.

Dion: I know that you are hurting because so am I, but I am not here for you to fuck when you want a distraction. Come to the Camp when you get your shit together…. Do it for Reegan.

Apollo: Fuck you.

*Apollo Walks away toward his room*

Apollo: He is right…. What am I doing?

Dion: I should check on Vick he’ll probably be able to help with the plans. *The scene cuts to Dion walking into a camp tent with Vick sitting looking over some books*

Hey everyone that is the end of part one of the Songs of the Isle there are two more parts planned and I have already started writing part two so uploads will be the same every Sunday.
