Maui Community! If your on the west side and have any time to spare, stop by Kamehameha Iki park and give a helping hand. They had a huge volunteer clean up day and there is still so much work to be done. These palm trimmings and green waste need to be in the container asap so Aloha waste can come pick it all up. Let's help finish the work and get our community park clear of debris. If each one of us dedicates 10-15 minutes this can be knocked out in a couple of hours. If your in the area, stop by the park and toss some green waste in the bin. Swell is coming, maybe pick up a couple pieces before heading out to surf! Or if you don't have the time, share this post! Little loli (sea cucumber) that decided to join us for class this morning. If you see these cool little invertebrates make sure to leave them alone, they play an important role in preventing an over abundance of organic matter from building up in the sand and on the reefs. Savasana (Shah-VAHS-uh-nuh) or "corpse pose" is in my opinion the most difficult yoga posture. It's difficulty is not in the physical realm but the mental and spiritual. It's a posture that encourages the practitioner to be completely relaxed, fully conscious, and yet surrendered to the vartamana or present moment.
