I read this fic a while back, (roommates and other warnings - slice of life by brainOworm (EmoBoyShu)) where Damian and Jon are in University in Metropolis. So this is very heavily based on that in some capacity!

Now I fully support the idea of Bruce not wanting Damian to study being a doctor in Gotham, given the amount of villains that have PhD's and Doctorates has a horrendous track record to begin with. (*cough* Harley Quinn *cough*)

I feel like Damian would never want to bring Metropolitans into Gotham, given the high crime area and the very doom and gloom that Gotham is, they simply wouldn't survive, literally and figuratively.

But they definitely find a way to convince him. Mostly using Jon, and sightseeing. Which left Damian confused.

I feel like Bruce gave this option to the other kids as well. Not just to Damian.

Like an unspoken rule in the Wayne Family is that if they are planning on studying to be a doctor of any kind, they are not studying in Gotham for that. Bruce dropped out from Gotham U in his own med school track, and two of his friends were turned into super villains.

I don't think college itself is really an interest to most bat-kids anyway.

Dick wasn't interested in it all. He didn't like the schools already being an immigrant and being the first kid of Bruce Wayne had its downsides among classmates., and ended up moving to Bludhaven to be a part of the police force later on. Jason, well..., he's got his own thing going on in Crime Alley and Bruce isn't that worried about him going to college. Tim is like walking on a tightrope on if he'll want to go or not, if anything he'd major in business just to get the right qualifications, but he's doing fine on his own without all that. And in the comics (Batman and Robin #20) Damian actually goes to Med School, it was like in his blood to do so, since Thomas Wayne did it, his Father attempted to do it, it was only right for him to actually do it too.

Damian makes friends in Metropolis, mostly because he's always around Jon, and Jon made friends on their first day, but the Bat-Family routinely tries to jump Damian with family shit any chance they get.

Call him when they know he's with other people? Absolutely

Bruce calling to check in when he's already texted twice before that? More often than you think.

Dick dropping by on the illusion of working on a case that somehow connects across the Delaware Bay? For sure, happened twice last week.

Damian doesn't understand why his family is so insistent on checking on him when he's survived stake out missions on his own until Jon rationalizes it for him in the most mundane way.

"They're used to the doom and gloom too y'know?" Jon sighed, after Damian hung up on another call from Stephanie

"It still does not make any sense." Damian said placing his phone down

"They miss you. I mean, the farthest anyone has lived in your family is Bludhaven, another doom and gloom city. Across the Bay? Unheard of for a Wayne." Jon turned back to his homework.

"...I shall talk to father about everyone." Damian spoke

"Don't. It's funny."

"They called me asking me where I put Richard's suit. I haven't been home in months."

"And you told them where it was, without hesitation"

"...Finish your homework Kent."

"Roger that!"

so i’ve been super obsessed recently with

What if like int he Zelda universe, Ganon and Demise were like Jekyll and Hyde? The idea of it just like popped up and i cant stop thinking about it. I think that Demise still being present in the body of Ganon (Or Ganondorf) is soemthing that would make sense.
