Anyway, do you wanna share some fun, spoiler-free shenanigans that happened in jp's server.? Just to have some crumbs to lick off the table until we get our own sandwich (my heart is empty and my soul is crying)

spoiler-free is pretty hard, especially considering. the, uhhh, particular turn that things take directly after 6. (like, the fact that the other characters are showing up probably counts on its own?) and I do think that if you can avoid getting spoiled, most of it is definitely better as a surprise! some of the genuinely best Twst moments are waiting for you. :D

Do y'all remember during Vargas Camp when Malleus told the gang he isn't very good at using tools because he breaks them easily? But he uses tools when sculpting gargoyles... Which means... He finds it really hard to make gargoyles, but he's just doing his best because he enjoys it a lot? 🥹

The thought of a strong guy like him being really gentle so he wouldn't break the work he loves... Just like how gently he treated baby Silver. And like how he adjusts a lot to accommodate others so he could form a meaningful connection with them. 😭

playful land really gives me the chills theres something really eerie and creepy seeing the guys make their way through the park and having them sacrifice one another to get them to ernesto, yikes. when i first watched the translations i though like oh shit this feels very apocalyptic and i had actual chill down my spine watching the playthrough. the whole flesh turning to wood thing too, double yikes its really dark here. i think having played through glomas, this one freaked me out more like eeeyikes

I definitely feel like Playful Land ups the scare factor. In GloMasq, the threat really only applied to mages, and it's hard for us, the players, to get a sense for how horrific and life-changing that is since we don't use magic ourselves. In Playful Land, we're literally all going to be sold off as puppets through a crime ring 💀 which is frighteningly darker and unfortunately more or a "real" horror.

An amusement park is such a good setting for this. No one really notices how scary they can be at night. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THESE COMPARISON IMAGES... THAT FOX FACE BECOMES TOTALLY CREEPY...

And normally your instincts tell you to stay in the lit up parts of the park, right??? But in this case, you can't because then you're a sitting duck for the puppets on the prowl for you. That forces you to sneak around in the dark, which obscures your field of vision and draws out our fear of the unknown and that which we cannot see. AND you have no signal?? AND the walls are too high to scale, thereby locking you inside?? It works so well together.

Yeah, I was wondering about this too, so thank you for pointing things out that I didn't notice.

I still didn't get the chance to play sunset savanna event or Leona part in book seven but there's something I'm really curious about... Isn't Kifaji like a bird beastman? So why doesn't he have wings? Or does he actually has ones that I didn't see?

Like we see the beastman having animal parts like tails and ears that are always there so isn't bird beastman supposed to have wings that are always there too... Hm?

In Kifaji’s full-body model, you can see that he has a tail:

You can’t really see any animal traits from the torso alone, perhaps because birds don’t really have distinctive ears. (Welllll, more like their ears are just holes on the sides of their head (usually covered by feathers), but I think that’d probably look freaky on a human so they just gave Kifaji normal human ears.)

There’s some debate about Kifaji’s hair, since the most blue parts resemble feathers. However, that could just be the natural texture of his hair + colors that result due to his age.

I’d like to point out that the mammalian beastmen we’ve met don’t have like… paws 😂 so it makes sense that bird beastmen don’t have wings instead of hands.

I’d imagine paws/wings on a humanoid would be veeery inconvenient anyway?? Like gripping stuff would be difficult, so maybe beastmen did have paws/wings at some point but those traits were lost over time due to inconveniences experienced in everyday life. Survival of the fittest at its finest, I guess 🤷‍♂️

Is it just me or Leona is looking like a mafia boss on his Halloween costume?

I think that's on purpose? Like, I think the intention was for Leona's Nightmare Suit to look like that, or at least to invoke similar vibes. There's a lot of fan art of Nightmare Suit Leona in very mafia-esque scenarios, so it's something artists have picked up on too! ... This is really funny to me, because LEONA of all people looks more "mob boss" than Azul, the one who tries so very hard to emulate those tough vibes and whose entire dorm has that kind of an aesthetic. Even funnier since Leona is the one who tears Azul a new one in book 3, so Azul probably holds some kind of vendetta for that humiliation 💀

I'm personally a huge fan of the jacket hanging over his shoulders (one of my favorite design elements ever www)... and I'm obsessed with the loose strands of hair falling over the eyepatch OTL
