I'm the french friend. I dunno if it's clear but basically, in french, it is written "Aziraphale" but pronunced very differently compared to the english pronunciation. The "Azirophale" is a way to write it the way it's said in english (and to be precise, the way it would be written would be more "Azerophael").
But just forget about us, we called Crowley "Rampa".
hi, absolutely love your blog, thanks for everything you do 😘
my question is, would you by any chance know why one of the tracks from the season 2 soundtrack spells Aziraphale with an “o” (“Monsieur Azirophale”) ? is it just another way to spell his name (maybe to make it more French or something) ?
thanks :)
Hiya! :) Thank youuu! :) <3. That is an excellent question! I'm afraid though I have absolutely no idea! :D <3, perhaps @neil-gaiman does? <3
Edit: My french friend said: You know how in differents language we don't say the letters the same way ? So if we wanted to right it as pronunced, it would be like that. So yeah, it is to make it more french :) <3.
The face I did when I saw that Islington was played by Peter Capaldi...
I kinda love that you've written *two* TV shows now where a significant character is a fallen angel played by a tall, thin, extremely talented Scotsman who's also played the Doctor -- ineffably delightful coincidence <3 (The Neverwhere DVD's on my Christmas list!)
I will not rest until I have made all of the tall thin Scottish actors who have played or will play Doctor Who into Fallen Angels.
GOOD OMENS PASS THE BRUSH 2: EVERYDAY (WE PASS THE BRUSH*)
youtube
In May 2020, GO Cosplayers worldwide united to create the first Good Omens Pass The Brush video. Now with the release of season 2, the Pass The Brush ineffably returns for its Second Coming!
We would like to thank all (120+!!) the cosplayers who participated in the making of this video, our lovely friend Bailey who was kind enough to sing our silly song** and the guys at @theineffablecon for their generous hospitality. And of course @neil-gaiman, Rob & the entire @goodomensonprime cast and crew - this is kind of all your fault, really (thank you!).
This video was made in solidarity with the WGA & SAG-AFTRA. You can support the strike by donating to the Entertainment Community Fund & The Snacklist.
PS: Make sure to watch until the very very end ;)
Ineffably yours,
Sunni, Tricksy and Andrea
