Friend group chats are fun. Today one of my friends, who keeps pet crayfish, found babies in a tank that was supposed to be a males only. No choice but to empty out the whole tank to fish out the babies of unknowable origins. But lo and behold, there was a culprit: one teeny tiny little female had somehow escaped containment, evidently specifically going out of her way to break into this all male tank to get railed by like 15 males twice her size. Possibly completely different breed, too. Monsterfucker supreme.

So for a good solid hour or so, the whole group chat was focused on. slutshaming this one specific little crustacean. With like 300 babies.

You should get an AO3 account

With the rise of AI and the well known epidemic of AI companies scraping Ao3 for training data most authors on Ao3 have locked down their fics to logged in users only. This is unfortunate for authors and readers. As an author I've noticed a steep drop in readership on fics restricted to logged in users and when recommending fics to my friends I've noticed that the folks without an account can't find the fics. The logged in users only toggle, not only keeps people without an account from reading a fic, but also from seeing its listing at all. More than 50% of fics I come across have this setting turned on. So, you should get an AO3 account. I know this seems daunting and unfair because it's an invite only system but, you can invite yourself through the homepage if you don't already have one, and in the past few years I've never heard of someone who requested an invitation through this method, not getting one. And for those of you who are hesitant because you don't write, that's okay. It's not weird at all to click on a commenter username and find that they have 0 works and 10,000 bookmarks. It might take a week for the invitation to actually show up, but I can almost guarantee you will get one, just keep an eye on your email. It's free to join and donations are optional. You'll have more to read if you have an account and maybe give your favorite author the chance to protect their work from AI without a loss of readership and feedback.

In you Greek tragedy turtles what if m/c did the same thing they did to the turtle but to someone else in a third new life like

They would look at their new life with all their love in their eyes like they did to the turtle and what if they knew love that m/c falling for is a hero like the turtle but returning their love

And can see the turtle being extremely jealous of them because they are what they want to be

So like if mc feel in love with a hero that the Greek turtles use to be and how would the turtles react to that?🤔

They’d probably straight up kill the new lover if they found mc again already with someone. They know they’re not hero’s anymore, they don’t care to be.

Like they’re legends it’s why they’re still alive because their story is told again and again and again and it keep their spirit alive and their bodies unchanged.

But like all stories theirs has changed as it’s retold and they’ve kinda gone from these great hero’s to the morally grey warriors to villains as time progress and world views change.

Kinda like how nowadays we read old legends and go “how’s that guy that’s throwing babies off walls the good guy?!?!”

So as their story’s have changed so have they, and not for the better.

Donnie who used to be cunning but still kind, willing to slip some gold to the downtrodden or harass a noble to treat his people better, in his own way is now cruel and cold. Uncaring for those that don’t benefit him or cannot afford his prices.

Leo that while flirty and a bit of a womanizer was still willing to stand up for what’s right is now callus and doesn’t care to defend those he used to unless their pretty or would get him something to help. He used to be the first to just into a situation to save someone nowadays he’s more likely to watch til the middle, step in, and then demand payment or favors or something unsavory like a night of entertainment. And he’s smooth enough still that this tends not to be frowned upon but he’s a right fucking bastard(bitch, if I ever right a story about these guy imma shake him like a maraca the cunt/aff)

Raph, angry and violent at times but gentle to the most defenseless, is now stubborn and liable to lash out over tha smallest thing causing major damage to the area and those around him. Before he used to love spending time in nature with small creatures now he fears his anger will lead to him waking up surrounded in blood and broken bodies.

Mikey, once mischievous but benign trickster that would always play light hearted tricks on those that needed a bit of fun in their lives and monkey paw ones on those that deserved them, now takes joy in cuase dangerous mischief and humiliation to those he pranks.

They’ve all been changed by the world retelling their story without understanding the inner depths of these people and how they were told like that to begin with.

So…

Yeah they’re kinda evil now in a kinda not their own fault but also they’re not set in stone defined by these retelling they just refuse to put in the effort to fight against the change it causes in them.

Also mc isn’t really changed by this, their more of a shadow to the turtles narrative than a character so that’s why their both not immortal and also not influence by the changes in the turtles mythos.

Damn been a while since I wrote about these guys let’s hope I remember my own lord and this doesn’t cause issues with the stuff I’ve already wrote lol. Anyways hope that answers your question about mc. Sorry kinda got derailed by turtles so less mc heavy than I think you wanted😅

Alright gang the live action Lilo and Stitch did so well financially they're making a part two. The Switch 2 sold really well. The new Harry Potter series is going to be a big hit, just like the stupid game and the new theme park.

Please take this information and understand the social bubble you've put yourself in on Tumblr is a microcosm of reality. There are billions of people out there not on this site, completely unaware of what your fandom circle thinks is important. And they have money and they spend it.

There are millions of people who live every day unaware of anything going on beyond the tip of their own nose. They see what's familiar and they buy it. They have no expectations of anything being better or new.

So when stuff that's funding transphobia or pushing harmful political messages or making money off of anti consumer practices is successful remember: it's not the people on this website who asked you to abstain that are actually spending their money and you look like an idiot when you imply they are.

There is a KNARLY heatwave in America. If you live on the east coast (and I think the west) be VERY mindful of your pets! At least where I live is expected to reach 104° F tomorrow.

Keep your homes cool, close curtains and blinds, and keep an eye out for signs of heat stroke! Especially make sure to tell your friends/family that live in mobile homes or quick-build suburban houses that don’t have good insulation!

I also like to minimize the amount of electronics on so it doesn’t get too hot.
