ndr trainees music tastes

sora:

like i mentioned previously, her favorite song is "techno kitty" by s3rl. i mean, just look at her.

she's a bit of a scene kid, so we get more than our share of ... whatever is included in that genre. it all blends together to me.

she likes pop punk or rock, especially if they're female fronted bands (Feminism‼️ -Sora).

"you're not alone" by saosin is one of her favorite rock songs, as far as i know.

her music gaste is tolerable for the most part, as long as she doesn't turn on brokencyde or something else that's equally annoying.

arin:

folk punk and indie all the way (finally, someone i can listen to music with!)

"broken cash machine" by modern baseball is one of his current favorites, which might've been because of his whole 'leaving with ras' thing.

his other main depression song is "sorry, but 'i'm sorry' ain't enough" by cricket!. most of cricket!'s songs, to be honest.

our music taste was the most alike, so we used to have a joint playlist we could both add things to.

i started indoctrinating him into listening to will wood, but i've only managed to get him to like some of the "in case i make it," songs so far.

inherited kai's poor music discretion abilities.

well, she didn't listen to music while she was in the wyldness, so after she came to live with us, she had no basis for what constituted as musical talent.

recently, she's been into "that handsome devil," i think? she also has a ... very loud obsession with alestorm.

she also somehow finds obscure artists with, like, 2 followers on soundcloud and just listens to whatever junk they put out.

we do not let her play music during travels.

wyldfyre and him are the type to blast suicide silence at 3am and see nothing wrong with it.

he's really into slipknot right now. i asked him if that was one of ras' things- y'know, to feel angry and use that for power. he just shrugged and said the music was cool.

apparently, he's been getting into 2000s scene and rave stuff, but that's probably cause of sora.

he has a gerard way keychain thing that he pretends talks to him. well, i hope it's pretend, at least.

in all seriousness, though, i usually just... try my best to ignore it and get through the situation without thinking about it. listening to music, zoning out, etc. don't be like me!!

hm... hard to say! many people say that i'm funny, i guess? i'm also quite good at crafts or coming up with ideas/thinking outside of the box :p

Did the ninja already know what "aroace" was before you came out to them?

some of them, but not all!

wu was... y'know, with all due respect, typical old guy reaction. he didn't mind at all once i explained, though. said it would let me focus on my training without having to deal without the tension that comes with relationships

kai was a little confused, but got the hang of it very quickly. he was the one telling anyone who talked to me for more than a few minutes just in case they were interested for some reason??

someone would ask for directions and he'd be, like, "lady, he's aroace and he's not going to date you! myself, on the other hand, am single and ready to mingle, so..." he got peppersprayed a lot.

cole knew the term, but was convinced that the whole thing with harumi was what made me dislike the ideas of relationships </3

the other couples (jay/nya & zane/pixal) were totally fine with it, although i think they might've had the lovey-dovey newlywed's syndrome and felt bad that i was going to "die alone".
