Unconditional but not forever.
It’s my birthday, what’s not better of a present than angst?
Unconditional love. That is what you called it. That is what it was. Unconditional, limitless, and for him. Nanami Kento.
Loved him since the end of high school, through his ups and downs. You loved him. You loved him for his dorkiness, the library of unread books that slowly began to pile up, you loved him for him even if that included his workaholic habits. You loved him, for him. And he?
He loved you just as much, kissing at your wrists when he greeted you before peppering your face in those same kisses you’ve come to adore. He would peel oranges for you and you would remember to buy him peaches at the store since they were his favorite. The sweet moments in the morning where you both lay together enjoying those few extra minutes before having to separate and go about your days.
That only lasts for so long. Happy marriages are not forever and flaws become more. His work hours dragging on. His office eventually becoming his new home, that was until he quit and became a jujutsu sorcerer once more. Then everything was back to normal. The peeled oranges, remember bought peaches, shared morning moments. Of course sweet moments like those only last. “Cursed spirits are becoming more frequent.” He was peeling another orange, feeling you a slice as he arranged them on the plate beautifully. “Please my love, don’t go out without me. Okay?” You only nodded, not understanding that this was just the beginning. Not understanding that he would get worse.
Eventually you were forbid from going out period. That’s when you knew you had to leave. His loving gaze was gone, now replaced with something akin to a predatory looking at its caged prize. So that’s what you did. He left for Shibuya, you also left though not for Shibuya. You left for the airport.
It had been four years, you were now happily married. A small child at your side as you looked at the food aisle. “Hello you.” You knew that voice, glancing over it was Nanami. “Have you been well.” He knew you had, he seen the wedding ring and the child. The wedding ring that was puny compared to what he could give, the child adorable but nearly not as adorable as what he could give. “Yes I have, how about yourself?” He didn’t look good, he had a lot of scarring akin to burns on his face and arm. Aside from that he still dressed sharply. He didn’t answer only nodded.
it was awkward from there, standing there. “I need to go.” He parroted the same thing and then walked off.
Your basket having peaches, his having oranges.

Simple accident.
That’s what they said but the white haired male looked sick of life already. An extermination of sukuna gone wrong, leaving the false father paralyzed from the waist down.
“Bunny, is that you?” He called from the bed he laid in, well the bed he never left. You only wanted to look at the products of karma but alas you were caught as you inched into the room.
Bunny. You hated that nickname. Earning it after jumping out of the second story window and still running off despite a broken ankle. It was Geto’s curse that had caught you and brought you back as the fathers sneered down at you, “Your like a small bunny, too precious for this world.”
“Bunny?” You snapped out of it. He had his hand out, you were out of reach but came closer knowing there would only be punishment if you didn’t comply. There was a constant static that played in your head, to drown out his voice as he only crooned as he pet at your hair Geto had just fixed. “You’re as unhappy as I am huh?” You blinked, you were but had he hit his head to clear his delusion?
“Lay down.” He gave no room for comment or complaint as he pulled you down beside him. His other hand had come up to pat at your head as well, two hands?
Two hands on your head. “I can take all the pain away.” You shot up, standing out of reach again.
He looked saddened at the loss but you valued your life. Valued the thought of running away, the thought of being far away.
So you stepped back despite him reaching his hand out, tears pooling in his eyes. “Don’t leave me alone.”
He was crazier than the rest, you knew but after Sukuna did whatever he had got worse. You left the room.
Gojo was taken care of, just as Sukuna promised. But what costs did you have to pay?
Later that night he visited again, “Bunny.” Sukuna mocked. “One more.” He smiled.

Perfect family of too many as you saw it.
There was the over bearing fathers, Geto and Gojo. They were fine at first, respecting your personal boundaries when you demanded it but they got antsy at not being able to touch bade with their newly “adopted” child. Often forced out the room by prying hands or a curse that always looked cotton candy sweet.
Then there was the brothers, overprotective, but sweet. Yuji and Megumi. They were somewhat of an escape from the fathers but still crazy. Often sitting in your personal space but never speaking, aside from Yuji who spoke his vocal cords to tearing.
The other two that remained were the sisters. They were, fine. Mimiko and Nanako, often wanting to braid your hair or just sit with you. Kind of hard to push them away when they threaten to tell Geto of your bad behavior and unfairness even if they had braided a knot into your hair.
It was a perfect family.
Perfect to their terms.
They only saw through rose stained glass, never transparent.
Escape was impossible when everyone in the family was impossibly strong, Yuji’s harboring a curse that often took control and stared over your sleeping form at night.
Though one night you awoke, looking at your make believe brothers tattooed face.
“Do you want a way out?” Sukuna rasped.

Simon Riley often felt a feeling of hiraeth during the holidays. Watching families run along the street with their giddy kids excited for Santa to come along. But then the feeling vanished as he remembered his beautiful wife was at home, his comfort, his home.
