Chapter Two – Venerate (v.)

Lucanis would worship her, if she’d let him. She’s spread out beneath him on one of the beds at Villa Dellamorte in naught but her skin. Silk sheets suit her as if she were born for them, and her hair is a halo of reddish curls as he works his fingers inside her body. Lucanis has never been one to believe in the Maker outright, but it’s hard to deny an artist’s talent when their work is this inspired.

In which Lucanis fights battles with Spite, blood mage cultists, and his own feelings for Rook but wins the war. A Word-of-the-Day oneshot series of all the Rookanis scenes I wanted in Veilguard but didn't quite get.
