I already posted what the new blog for Curse of the sea is!

Now to the question I wanted to ask: I already have pages 1 to 3 done and so I wanted to know your opinion in either releasing those early so you can see them now or wait for the whole comic to be done. Neither of them really affect me so might as well see what you guys think.

Curse of the sea au introduction

Welcome! You might be here from my main acc or just happen to stumble onto this, either way, let me present you to Curse of the sea.

What is Curse of the sea?

Curse of the sea is an alternative universe of epic the musical and consequently the odyssey

This universe takes place in a world where Poseidon, instead of trying to kill Odysseus, turns him into a monster (Basically the “reveal their true form” from Circe but way worse). Odysseus retains his humanity and manage to get home, but that sense of humanity will slowly slip away.

The main characters in the story will be Odysseus ofc, Telemachus, Penelope, Athena and obviously Poseidon. Some side characters are Zeus, Hermes and maybe others.

The Au story and info will happen through comics and drawings with 3 possible endings that I will reveal later down the line.

Any questions about the au are appreciated and would be happy to answer them!

Progress in the Curse of the sea comic + sneak peak #3

Ok so I made progress but not a lot, there have been a lot of stuff happening on my personal life school related so I've been busy but not for too long now. I just wanted to say I will be making another blog + be posting the comic on TikTok, as soon as I make the blog I'll tell you guys about it (+ ask about something) and the link to my tiktok will be in the description of the blog.

Progress in the Curse of the sea comic + sneak peak #2

Hi guys! Progress has been going a bit slow (got lazy ngl) but I did some stuff. I sketched page 6, did the lineart for page 2 and finished completely page 3 as it was the easiest to do.

From now on I won’t show any sneak peaks as to not spoil anything (maybe just obscure images).

It has been fun so far and I hope I can finish this soon to get to work on showing more information to explain how the au works and about monster odysseus.

Progress in the Curse of the sea comic + sneak peak of what's coming:

I currently have the line-art of the first page done and 5/8 pages sketched out. I'm still planning out how the last three pages will go, the concept for those are in my sketch book as I figuring them out, but so far everything is going well. ;D

I'm thinking of making a different vlog page for this au and maybe post on a different app to reach more people. I'm thinking on reviving my tiktok acc or even starting a new one, who knows :^

What will the comic be about? Well here’s a small synopsis:

“The suitors start executing Antinous plan, when Telemachus is left alone on the beach they ambush and overpower him with ease. He thinks he’ll die with no one knowing his demise, little did he know someone was watching…and was hungry.”

That’s all! I Never have been so into a project like this one and I'm feeling confident.

Funfact: In this au, Odyesseus has a “berserk” mode that can happen out of nowhere or be triggered (which is the one in this case). I'll explain more about that state later down the line.

Anyways I heard the fan songs for Thanatos and Hypnos if they were in god games. Ofc needed to design the twins, come on guys.

Au idea: Curse of the sea (name in work)

What if Poseidon instead of trying to kill Odysseus just revealed his true form? A monster.

Odysseus will keep his humanity, but for how long?

I wanted to do this because I love angsty stories and also because this way I can make Antinous and the suitors dead more gruesome ;)

Being fr, I thought about it when hearing Scylla a couple of times, specifically the line “we are the same you and I” which made me wonder how would Odysseus be if he became actual monster and made this

If I manage to not lose motivation, I might make a comic about it, who knows? I really like the concept so I'll see how it goes :)

(I would also appreciate some help with the name as “curse of the sea” doesn’t fully convince me)

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

In about 2 weeks I'll start doing commission! Right now I'm working in the art for the demonstration of the prices. Talking about the prices, the currency will be robux ( I don’t have a bank account neither I can’t open one so that’s why)

If anyone has any tips for starting commissions I would be more than happy to hear, I really need some :)
