My friends have been tear gassed, beaten, and shot with rubber bullets this entire week but srsly us LA folk are STRONG we will not let them win.

First things first congrats all 2025 grads! You did it!

And shoutout to everyone who passed their finals.

This semester was a rough one indeed.

BUT Nothing better to kick the northern equators summer than the hot water pipe for half my house bursting under the floors turning our kitchen and back wash room into a bouncy house. So lately I haven’t been able to be at home to avoid the construction and doing 30 lbs of laundry (shoutout to my local lavanderia). Good news is that the house insurance is covering everything because this was an age related issue with the pipes and a common occurrence in our neighborhood as it was built in the 1950s.

In other news, this is another grad season as the genocide rages in Palestine at the hands of the Israeli occupation where so many students have lost their lives, right to education, and right to exist without persecution. Students are rallying at universities across campuses internationally, leading brave hunger strikes, and having their diplomas stolen by universities for even speaking out against the apartheid.

Universities are going as far as having students brutalized, hunted by ICE, and illegally arrested/detained.

Free our students. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸🩷

Let’s also talk about Columbia university shamefully attacking its own students and depriving them of their 1st amendment rights. It’s our sacred duty to battle oppression and fight against systemic abuse of power. We must end apartheid and the study and student community must come together to demand education as a human right everywhere and the protection of our fellow students.

There are no schools left in Gaza. Free Palestine.

Thinking a lot about the future these past few weeks. Some good some bad but mostly just stinky.

But let’s talk more about the United States (through ICE) putting undocumented people who risked everything to be here in concentration camps. People who have taxes taken out of their paychecks that don’t get to use the programs they pay into, people who are survivors, people who are our friends and family and neighbors in CAMPS.

And the fact ice is going into schools and ripping students out and their families out of their safe places is disgusting and horrific

The study community is vital to the survival of ALL academics regardless of citizenship status.

Had a date with my bf in little Tokyo and started the spring semester

The US Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people has reached a horrific new terror: trump now wants to invade and own Palestine furthering their ethnic cleansing. PALESTINE IS NOT FOR SALE.

It is the study community’s sacred duty to protect the rights for education and student prosperity everywhere. Free Palestine and FUCK ICE 🩷

I am a 3rd gen Mexican-Navajo and the US is trying to build concentration camps to put undocumented people in. No one is illegal on stolen land. This is pure racism against the Latino community. They are going into schools and trying to separate families and students from each other creating an atmosphere of fear and hatred.

Spring semester starts this week and I’m ready go lock in

The ceasefire in Palestine starts today but it will take generations to rebuild all while still under an illegal occupation by the regime. There are no schools left in Gaza. The study community must stay resilient in supporting the survivors of the genocide and holding the US and “Israel” accountable for the war crimes they committed and contribute to commit.

Hey friends, as you know I live in Los Angeles in the SFV and we have been under siege by wild fires and have continuously been losing power and water for the last 3.5 days. We were evacuated yesterday for a little bit but we were able to return an hour later. Still not in the clear yet as winds are returning during the end of the weekend. My best friend lost his house and half of the homies still are not able to return to their homes. I will keep y’all updated in the comments for sure. School doesn’t resume for me till the 21st so we have some time to prepare for it at least. My heart goes out to people in Altadena and the rest of the palisades area😭

climate change is real and it’s going to decimate civilian life if big oil and big tech don’t change. The genocide led by Israel & UNITED STATES against Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria has directly impacted the severity of our situation in LA.

REMEMBER: We are all hours away from being climate refugees wherever we are and free Palestine

The grind never stops😭 at least my last final is tomorrow night and I can enjoy the holiday season. My bf finishes his degree this week and next semester it’s my turn 🤪(or next fall idk how many classes I want to definitely take next spring)

REMEMBER: Students in Palestine are not able to finish their degrees, dream of college, or look forward to their amazing educations anymore because of the genocide caused by the US and Israel. End the genocide. Free Palestine. The student community must stand in solidarity.
