Do you think Arthur ever thought of Merlin as a little eery?

Like, he would hear a noise and think it's an attacker, but actually Merlin had just merged with the shadows. He looks a little like a monster, as a silhouette, somehow only his eyes reflecting in the firelight. But he's a friendly Monster and Arthur gets used to his presence.

And then there are these strange diseases Merlin never falls victim to, despite them being contagious and him being close to the patients.

Then Merlin is touched by the dorocha and somehow survives.

It's little things. Like finding foreign fruits on his plates that his cook doesn't know the heritage of, or strange nonsensical words mumbled in passing.

Do you ever think Arthur was wary of him? Just a little. Just enough to be intrigued, not enough to want to know
