James felt his eyes well up in matching tears as he pressed his forehead further into Regulus as if trying to connect them, pull them back onto that blissful same page.

“Then love me Reg,” he pleads, “I’m right here. It’s not like we’re leaving soon.” The both of them let out a dry chuckle at that piece of final admittance.

But Regulus, he felt the choking hands of guilt press down on him with finality then.
