So I’m going on vacation in September for my mums 60th birthday.

Her bday is in Feb but we’re going away in September so it’ll be warm yknow. This has presented me with a deadline (of my own creation mind but still) for tattoos I get this year to be healed enough by the time I set foot on the plane.

One of my first ever tattoos was the Chanel CC on my wrist. I was like 19 and thought it was so cool. Now ofc I know that she collaborated with the Nazis to get rid of her Jewish competitors and that Karl Lagarfeld was a henious human being who hated plus size people and claimed that if you wore sweatpants you had “given up”

Ever since my frontal lobe developed and I learned this information I have wanted to cover up the tattoo. I decided I’d do a Celtic knot (because I have to be a stereotypical Irish woman somehow and I don’t have a claddagh tattoo … yet) so I was gonna do that this year.

I’ve also always wanted a sternum tattoo and since I saw this one image on Pinterest in like 2016 Sailor Moon Brooch tattoos on my thighs. So now I have a deadline of September 9th for all these to be done and healed enough that the sun and pool water won’t bother them.

It’s worse when you realise that most NT people who do this do not give any kind of flying fuck about people who are suffering with their mental health today. The same people who’ll say “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” or some useless shit about exercise or getting off your phone.

Exercise and fresh air can help sure but it’s not going to cure you. There’s also no evidence that being on your phone kills brain cells anymore than having an actual mental illness does.

Doomscrolling is a symptom not the disease.
