YKMET Ink/Color test 2: These are not final sprites, these are test runs for the art style I'm choosing. I've decided to lean a lot more cartoony for the ink and color. I want a more stylized look than TPOF to embrace the tone of BTD [ background is not finished obviously, just a basic placeholder for color tone ]

A kink-positive 18+ blog ran by a disabled, queer punk. Also a necromancer and undeadkin/vampkin on the side. Will post about whatever I feel like, but mostly those topics.
DNI if you don't respect specific dni banners on posts, are younger than 18 or got nothing but negative bullshit to spout.

Me saying that ablebodied and/or neurotypicals people forcing disabled and/or neurodiverse people outside in hot summer temperatures is bad:
The ablebodied and/or neurotypicals in the comments: BUT BUT BUUUUT!!
This isn't about you guys!! This is about disabled people. Fuck off and let us speak, go outside and enjoy that lovely sun of yours 馃構

My mother had a transphobic reaction to me changing my name & gender on my ID after telling me she supports me for YEARS. But you know what? Fuck her and her supposed "daughter". That kid ain't alive anymore. She has a son now, end of story.

Love how most ablebodied neurotypicals have no idea what spoon theory is. I like to think they're just confused & scratching their head like "why are disabled ranting about cutlery again".

Gonna b a hot take perhaps but here goes nothing
The way the fandom treats Kavetham screams ableism. Especially the "kavetham angst".
Don't get me wrong, I fucking LOVE Kavetham. I think they're great and I get so happy everytime I see them. But the way sooo many people write them screams underlying ableism. Alhaitham is considered autistic by many fans, inclusive neurodivergent ones, yet I see so many people writing him writing his autistic traits like those of an ignorant and abusive asshole who is the way he is on purpose. Sorry to break it to you, but that's a very harmful way to portray autistic characters (even if he's not canonically autistic, he still displays a shitload of symptoms and boiling those down to "abusive" is just a very shitty move)
Same with Kaveh. Many fans consider him to be neurodivergent and/or mentally ill as well, yet he's so utterly babied and sexualized by the fandom for absolutely no reason other than fitting into a fetishized view of gay relationships. There's soooo many interesting ways these two can be portrayed yet people always chose the unoriginal, borderline ableist/mlm fetishist way.
Where did the creativity go??

After more than a year I'll finally be able to go to physical therapy for my chronic pains and learn pain management. After so long of being ignored and brushed off by doctors I finally met one who takes my pain seriously. I realize I'm very lucky but I wanna say in this post that more than a year of pain and ignorance is still too long and young disabled people got to have their complaints taken more seriously. I wish all of you the same luck as me cause none of us deserves the medical neglect many of us face

If I had a coin for every single time I get unsolicited advice on how to deal with sensory issues from a neurotypical, I'd be really fucking rich

everyone says 'prioritize your health' 'look after yourself' until they realize that making your wellbeing your first priority means making everything else a lower priority. and yeah, that's sometimes ok if it's temporary, but if those health issues are chronic? oh boy do they not like it when you actually take their advice. sometimes prioritizing your health means neglecting your work, your household chores, your social life. 'looking after yourself' means not putting your energy into looking after everyone else first. and the same people who tell you to prioritize your health will get upset with you when they realize it means you're no longer priorizing them.
if you have disabled or chronically ill people in your life and you extend them sympathy and tell them to look after themselves when they're feeling sick, but then you get upset at then because they keep canceling plans. please. reevaluate.

When I say "it's bearable for me" about a certain task, it doesn't mean I can do it without pain. It could still be the case that I have to take a break or lay down. Many able bodied people don't seem to understand this experience, asking "but you said it was bearable?"
Chronic pain doesn't always disappear. For me, it's always there, even if I do something that should be physically able for me to do. I think it really shows how little chronic pains are understood by outsiders.
