Imagine losing one of your best friend as 16. She dies a brutal death that you have to watch. Imagine that event sending your friends sister into her own world, one with headaches and despair. She was also amongst your best friends but now she has slipped so deep into this world that her parents give the friends bird to you and not her sister.

You have just started datong a boy you have had a crush on for a while. His best friend is deeply traumatised and starts estranging himself from anyone else but your boyfriend doesn't want to give up. You know what losing a friend is like and you know the guy as well so you go to see him as well. But he starts throwing rocks at you.

You and your boyfriend have lost your best friends. But you have each other. You are there for each other, it's all okay.

After a while you have a daughter. She looks just like her dad and hunts and sings just like he does and she is so perfect in your eyes. Then you have a second daughter who looks just like you. She is still young but she shows interest in healing like you and she is just the sweetest girl there ever was. You are a perfect family.

Now imagine hearing your husband has been in an accident.

You feel trapped. You feel alone. You have always had someone to rely on and now that person might be gone. Trough losing your best friends you got comfort from him and now that comfort is gone. He is gone. His death haunts you but not only his death, you are reminded of losing you best friends as well because that time you mourned with your dead husband but now that he is gone, everyone is gone.

You start to slip away like you have seen your friend do. You disapper into your own world. Your poor little daughters are slowly starving to death.

Wait I am being dumb now so I want to ask a clarifying question about Kid and Leveret.

So it's starts with:

" This is a story. About two children. One who hid to be heard. And another who ran to be remembered"

So, Cole is "the leveret in hiding", they hid, though I don't remember quite what happened there/how much spesiffically was revealed. And Clemmie escaped their home and therefore was the one who ran.

So far so good, but the second part of that confuses me, Clemmie wasn't really allowed to be themselves and in Birdcage blue and yellow the lyrics go "Flowers never talk, they never want they never need" so "..to be heard" would fit Clemmie better.

On the other hand, and here I could be mistaken, if I remember correctly, I kind of connect the whole "places forget, but stories remember" with Cole, so it would fit the ..."to be remembered" part.

But then the line should be "One who hid to be remembered and another who ran to be heard" and since it isn't like that I have gotten something wrong here? 😭

Please someone help me! English is not my first language and so sometimes I have a hard time interpreting these songs

The autism is 'tisming cause after SOTR I wanted to reread the other books as well and now that I have finnishes mockingjay I want to read the trilogy again. I'll listen to TBOSAS first but then? What else dl I have left to do? Aaagh, I feel like I am not supposed to but like... I wanna!!!
