I will say, I do treasure my aromanticism and allosexuality. As much as I struggle to really accept it, I wouldn’t trade it. I want to learn and get to a day when I really embrace it. Wholeheartedly. It’s weird, it’s complex, it’s queer and that’s how I’ve come to know it I suppose <3

I'm aromantic and so i don't put any effort into trying to get into a romantic relationship because i have no interest in that, and because of that i constantly hear stuff like you are going to live all alone except for your cat. And its like is that supposed to be a bad thing? I love my cat. I love laying next to her, and her giving me slow blinks and a gentle lick to my fingers. Just today i was laying down with her, she stretched and tucked her little feet into my side and slept. We are just two souls finding comfort from another. Shouldnt that be enough? Why should i dread the idea of my cat being in my life in place of a relationship that i have no want or need for?

out of curiosity, do you consider platoniromantic to be an aplspec identity?

Hi!

Not if going off of my personal experience, BUT I don't really see the value in telling anyone what platoniromantic is or is not. If someone's platoniromantic identity is rooted in or reflected in aplatonicism, that's totally understandable - I'm not apl or aplspec myself so I can't really speak on it but people can do whatever they want!

Would love to hear if anyone else has thoughts on this too.
